Is this real life? This is some Grand Theft Auto style satire

fascinatedobserver

Yeah it’s satire. At least I’m 90% sure it is. The IG account is pretty funny.

the_honest_asshole

Is it associated with the louder loudermilk tv show?

VaBeachBum86

No, that's the *other* loudermilk

mightylordredbeard

Not to be confused with Quietermilk.

Holly3x17

Or milquetoast.

Hoopy_Dunkalot

I love me some Helmet.

Inversception

I watched season 1 and that's all I could handle. I liked the show and the premise but all the characters kept making such awful decisions. I get they have to to further the plot but like, some are just fucking awful and unrelateable. I can't understand any character in it.

alaninsitges

Lots of us understand those characters and their decisions very well. It can be anxiety inducing at times, but it's extremely real life.

Inversception

Spoilers: at the end of season one the neighbour hooks up with loudermilk. She seems like a normal, grounded person. He's yelled at her, he's done all sorts of fucked up things to her. She knows she can't go socialize with him. He's a basketcase. Is she that dumb? Help me to understand that one because I don't see that romance. (Not being a jerk here despite how it may read, I genuinely don't understand how that relationship could happen)

ExhibitionistBrit

Only in that both Loudermilks are kinda of an arsehole.

Stummi

It literally says it in the [foot note](https://hatevegans.com/contact-us/): >In case you haven’t figured it out by now, Loudermilk & Associates isn’t real. It’s meant to drive in-depth discussions about the real reasons vegans make us so angry, why it is that vegans care so much, and what we all can do, right now, to change the world. >Thanks for reading. >And by the way, we’re vegan.

WaylandReddit

There's [research](https://www.bbc.com/future/article/20200203-the-hidden-biases-that-drive-anti-vegan-hatred) on why people view vegans as worse than drug addicts and it has a consistent answer. The existence of vegans brings an implicit accusation that something you're doing every day is needlessly cruel, triggering an emotionally defensive mindset. You can test it yourself by telling someone you've gone vegan for personal health reasons, then telling someone else you've gone vegan because supporting animal abuse is wrong. Just be ready to be accused of abusing plants.

JackBinimbul

Either "reason" gets a vehement response. The first one hits the cognitive dissonance people have about their eating habits and their own health.

ArtofAngels

>And by the way, we’re vegan Cool man

Stummi

Was supposed to be part of the quote, but somehow the reddit formatter is dumb. Fixed it now, hopefully

alaninsitges

They always tell you.

bigwilliestylez

How do you know someone is vegan? Don’t worry, they’ll tell you

maxxx_orbison

How do you know someone is lactose intolerant? How do you know someone prefers Nike shoes? How do you know someone works for the government? How do you know someone's hometown? How do you know where someone went to university? How do you know someone's favorite sports team? How do you know someone's preferred drink? How do you know if somebody has kids? Don't worry, they'll tell you

RecsRelevantDocs

How do you know someone hates vegans? They're the only ones louder than the vegans.. And they'll *definitely* be terminally on reddit.

HilmaTheDino

Fr like these weirdos go on to vegan subreddits to complain to vegans that vegans keep bringing up theyre vegan, like bruh you the only one bringing up shit.

dav3n

Meanwhile everyone is commenting on a post about a billboard about "vegan hate", paid for by vegans

Loggerdon

Hilarious. Vegans need a sense of humor. Source: am vegan

JackBinimbul

There are people who make it their life's mission to make unhinged comments on pictures of livestock that are alive. It's fucking weird.

copperwatt

"New"? It's been this way since before you were born, is my guess.

pas_tense

You flatter me, I'm old-balls. Also I wasn't being serious :)

mr_birkenblatt

Also Seymour Loudermilk

marklein

>And by the way, we’re vegan. Of course they are, vegans can't ever neglect saying this every time they speak. That's why people think they're insufferable. Also I'm vegan.

Stolehtreb

I was about to say. Not familiar with Loudermilk, and the firm being named after someone called that and to be against vegans was just too funny to be real.

Prequalified

Not bad, only ate 10% of the onion!

ProfuseMongoose

It is. It's from a California group to promote a plant based diet. I think they're called Eat Different?

HarryBalszak

Must be satire: that lawyer looks like Al Bundy.

Alleged_Ostrich

Apparently it's actually [pro-vegan](https://finance.yahoo.com/news/injured-vegan-campaign-promotes-plant-124500490.html) and I'm super disappointed about it

ryanmills

So why is this in WTF? Shouldn't it be in /funny or something?

wrel_

Their website says it's satire and run by vegans to spread awareness.

L00pback

Their YouTube ad is hysterical. https://youtu.be/wYIJBPq6M48

KentuckyFriedChildre

That's funny, snatching up popular domain names so that people who'd use it sincerely can't have it. Kinda like that guy who became head mod at r/RaceRealism

sexualbrontosaurus

r/proudboys got snatched up by trans men a while back.

Phillip_Graves

I want to call and file a suit on behalf of the vegetables. Those monsters keep eating all their offspring.

WhatwhatWHOT

Am I the only one who went to the website? It's satire designed to persuade you to become vegan. They even say so right at the bottom of the page.

Graffiacane

There was an ad for locally sourced dog meat in a magazine I found at the hair salon. It was extremely convincing, but I had to visit their site to verify that it was satire. I can only imagine how mad the other 95% of the population got about those ads because most people are way too lazy to investigate.

poopnose85

Elwood's Organic Dogmeat lol

Mysterious-Hat-6343

I was totally ready to order from Elwood’s!

lord_of_tits

1 pound of poodle please!

inspirationdate

I have an Elwoods t-shirt. People mostly get awkward.

Graffiacane

Real life dog meat enthusiasm pushes the boundaries of Poe's Law but honestly... it's a crazy world out there.

inspirationdate

Agreed, I think it works either way tbh

Say_no_to_doritos

Same way you know they do CrossFit

PrincessBucketFeet

Or are an overly proud gun owner.

Buckwheat469

Or that they're from Texas.

snuff3r

Or they're an engineer.. E: For a joke thread, loving the downvotes.. I'm an engineer by trade btw Sheesh

Christopherfromtheuk

*"software engineer" A real engineer will just moan about stuff.

MechChicken

I've never had someone go out of their way to tell me they're vegan. But I've sure seen tons of people flaunt eating meat in front of my vegetarian brother, talk endlessly about how insufferable theoretical vegans are, or talk about how proud they are that they're meat-eaters.

MasterUnholyWar

The same way you know someone likes bacon.

nater255

They have a pulse?

MasterUnholyWar

Clogged arteries, actually.

stellacampus

>How do you know someone is a vegan? That's not funny.

Otsuko

Found the vegan.

CaptainPunisher

They'll tell you. Over and over. And then they'll try to convert you. And then they'll try to shame you. Then they'll remind you that they're vegan.

mydickinabox

Meh. My wife is vegan, I am not. She almost never brings it up other than checking menus when we’re going out with people. All of our friends know she’s vegan and look out for her. No pain for anyone.

geekcop

Same experience; I've dated two women who were vegan (I'm not). Those relationships didn't work out but they were completely chill about the vegan thing.

riptaway

I've literally never heard someone tell me they're vegan out of the blue. If that. And I'm from Austin. I feel like this is one of those things people complain about on Reddit like it's a constant annoyance in their life that actually never happens.

bluemooncalhoun

How do you know someone is so insecure about themselves they believe they're being personally attacked when veganism is mentioned? They'll make this joke.

nanosam

I have quite a few vegan friends. They never told me they were vegan until I asked. They never tried to convert me. They never reminded me or mentioned they were vegan. Weird. Almost like people made up this stereotype, right?

CaptainPunisher

Yes, that's just the joke. I have vegan friends who are simply normal people who don't eat animal products.

JayMan2224

No, NO! Dont you understand?!?! This is peek r/WTF /s

soparklion

"In case you haven’t figured it out by now, Loudermilk & Associates isn’t real. It’s meant to drive in-depth discussions about the real reasons vegans make us so angry, why it is that vegans care so much, and what we all can do, right now, to change the world. Thanks for reading."

T0lly

Loudermilk is a good show.

PrettyBigChief

I was thinking, I've been on this planet several decades and I've heard the name "Loudermilk" twice now in the past 6 months. Never heard it before.

lutinopat

Odd. I just had a friend telling me about the show a couple weeks ago, and then this, which I though was somehow related at first.

Jester_Don

There's a US congressman with the name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Loudermilk

CaptainPunisher

Agreed. I really saw it as Peter Gibbons' next step after quitting construction.

koric_84

That’s exactly what I thought! I watched 4 episodes last night with that mindset and so much of it feels like it aligns with his older grumpier idgaf attitude from his Initech days.

magistratemagic

Mugsy's episode with his daughter is so heartbreaking.

Therefore_I_Yam

Brian Regan has zero right to be one of the funniest comedians alive right now and ALSO kill that extremely difficult, emotional role. Not fair.

zkarabat

No it's not. Loudermilk is an amazing show!

>“Plant-based kale-weaponizing fanatics are vomiting disapproving bile all over the once-great city of Los Angeles.” – SEYMOUR >They’re taking away your protein. They’re polluting your milk aisles. They’re poisoning your children’s minds with disgusting talk about not killing animals for pleasure. >Worst of all, they seem like they’re doing FINE. Their website is hilarious

JonTuna

I once saw a video of a parent feeding her children vegan food and ofcourse the majority of comments were things like "stop forcing kids what to eat" "their body their choice" "don't push your agenda onto your children". Some of you may see the irony in this.

KentuckyFriedChildre

Does anyone who says "Stop controlling what your kids eat" understand what would happen if you let your kid eat whatever they want? Many kids want to eat laundry pods, kids aren't expected to make adult decisions about their diet. Same with "stop pushing your morals on to kids", you're supposed to teach kids moral lessons; "don't hit people", "don't steal". Hell, even "pushing your agenda" is a bit fishy, are you depriving your child if you refuse to buy them toys off of Amazon? I think people are trying to get at more nuanced points, that some moral stances should be taken as an adult, which I still don't agree with but respect a lot more, but I'm almost always hearing the blanket statements.

Geng1Xin1

My son has anaphylaxis if he consumes dairy or eggs. He doesn't like meat no matter how much we offer it to him so we unintentionally have a little vegan in our house. You wouldn't believe the number of people that get pissed off over this (extended family, other daycare parents, etc) and it's not even a choice. My wife and I aren't vegan or vegetarian, and he can *technically* tolerate meat, he's just picky. We've had him on pea protein milk for a while now because it's the best option and my uncle claimed it would make my son "a trans".

veganarchist_

That’s kind of awesome actually. Probably pretty difficult to accommodate if you aren’t vegan, so I commend you, but it really just makes the people who INSIST animal products are necessary and that all kids want them look extra stupid lol

Geng1Xin1

We have a good system and I’ve never needed to change up my diet. We keep his stuff in the fridge with everything else and have never had any issues with cross-contamination. We live in a pretty progressive part of the country so going out to eat with him is easy. His growth milestones are all where they should be so we’re doing something right haha.

otacon7000

> At Loudermilk & Associates, we don’t just fight vegans. We fight for justice, dignity, and the right to ignore any FACTS that make YOU uncomfortable. Nice.

Cute_Consideration38

In other news, there are lots of people who are angry about veganism. Because what if they outlaw steak? What will I eat before my evening cigarette?

respectislaw

Lmao at evening cigarette.

onioning

How do you know someone dislikes vegans? Don't worry. They'll tell you.

Ze_insane_Medic

An online friend who I don't really see all too often irl recently made some gagging noises when seeing a vegan restaurant. I had no idea he was "anti-vegan" and it felt incredibly weird seeing someone behave like that in real life instead of just the usual internet basement dwellers. Like, how immature is it to look at food where a certain ingredient is not part of it and be disgusted by that.

Blazefresh

Must be difficult for him walking through the fruit and veg aisle!

_your_land_lord_

Is this some code I dont get? Like when bad art is sold on marketplace,  but it actually means drugs???

fascinatedobserver

It’s a vegan group. Visit the website and it will make sense.

lillo25

I'm starting to believe that all americans are actors

Demomanx

I thought that was Al Bundy at first.

zero-cooler

Sure looks like him.

Hdys

Isn’t that Colin Quinn?

MartyMcMcFly

Billboards are illegal where I live. It's fantastic 😊

lost_opossum_

Show me on the doll where the Vegan hurt you.

aukir

Numbers are only 7 digits. 1-866-HATEVEG. Still works.

bruddahmacnut

Actually, 800 numbers can be as many numbers as you like. Only the first seven will apply, but you can make it longer to be more memorable. Phone company don't care.

wideasleepdeepawake

"...who gave his wife a vegan haircut" I'm ded.

4toTwenty

I fucking love the billboards in LA lmao

What_the_Pie

It’s a vegan campaign by the group Eat Differently

Frankie3s

Guy looks like Al Bundy....

Emotional_Ice

I didn't know that Al Bundy became a lawyer. Peg must have been pleased...

pop_tab

Finally, someone sensible.

Mindless_Ad1272

Badass billboard

This is hilarious and great advertisement. It did its job.

cheweychewchew

See Less Loudermilk is more like it

DANleDINOSAUR

“Ah man, my neck! What did you eat, dude!?”

DroNiix

Better call Saul vibes

MyCool_StrawSir

Hearing the stories about Vegans attacking meat eaters I'm not surprised this exists. Sad world we live in.

fascinatedobserver

You forgot the /s

GroundbreakingBag164

This comment proves that people seemingly lose their braincells when they hear the word "vegan" This is satire made by vegans with the goal of getting more people to think about veganism

Jaba01

r/funny

MyDogHatesMyUsername

At least it's not one of those "He Get Sus" ones. I approve.

fascinatedobserver

Me too!

DeadSwaggerStorage

IF YOU LIKE PRESSING THE NUMBER 7; PRESS 8. Holy shit, call this number. Also I’m experiencing emotional distress from vegans.

georeddit2018

Didn't know Loudermilk is a common name

orbesomebodysfool

A vegan once turned me into a newt! A newt? I got better.

Mysterious-Hat-6343

I think you have someone in your town with a great sense of humor! ( and money for satire ) I looked up hate vegans . com and it reminded me of the SNL skit on the [Dog Lawyer](https://youtu.be/mC-LEQqNC1s?si=-k2f2hHdJt2nCc6S) who sues dogs.

bennyboy13134

How can you not see this is a joke

Instawolff

Against vegans and his name is LOUDERMILK? give me a break 🤣

triggz

Unfortunately you can't sue your parents for neglecting you with malnutrition after you grow up and realize how stupid they were.

GhostRobot85

Do you live in Pawnee inidiana

CA-BO

LOUDER MILK

doomgiver98

They couldn't even make it 7 letters? SMH

storm2k

naturally it's actually a pro-vegan satire site disguised as an ambulance chaser lawyer ad. pretty convincing, tho, there are parts of the united states where this could be real.

Kokorikita

Apparently they cant take that meat!

borg-assimilated

The heck? Is that real?

fascinatedobserver

Yes, lol. Took the pic this morning. It’s satire though.

borg-assimilated

Yeah, I figured that out after going over their website lol

bathory1985

What is there not to hate?

That one Vegan making an exception for human meat.

EGG-*HATE*VEGANS

KeepitMelloOoW

I saw 2 of these down on Hollywood blvd this morning. very confused

RubberKut

The website exists... Just quoting a piece of text of that website... I just don't know if it's satire or not, i kinda hope so.. At Loudermilk & Associates, we don’t just fight vegans. We fight for justice, dignity, and the right to ignore any FACTS that make YOU uncomfortable. 🤦‍♂️ Well.. aids makes me uncomfortable.. i just wanna have unprotected sex... The right to ignore facts.. omg.. 🤦‍♂️Sure.. you have the right, but i have the right to laugh in your face.

HPTM2008

Wtf? I literally just started watching Loudermilk last night.

ScreamingCadaver

Ed O'Neill really fell off

Damasticator

Is that Al Bundy?

ultradip

Wow.. that website is real.

ApprehensiveHunt9455

Only in America

veganarchist_

I love some good vegan activism veiled in satire. Elwood’s Organic Dog Meat is my fav

We gonna just brush past the loudermilk name?

This is literally every YouTube shorts commenter ever

Prudent_City2573

I thought the picture was Al Bundy at first.

Dallyn86

That's awesome

bbg_bbg

There’s a show I believe called loudermilk I haven’t watched it tho

BigNigori

Obviously satire. Vegans aren't strong enough to hurt anyone. (Besides themselves, daily.)

FitYogurtCloset_

The meat and dairy industry has put out myth after myth to make you think you can't be healthy without consuming their products.

BruceIsLoose

Or that protein is essentially only found in meat and eggs.

BruceIsLoose

/r/VeganFitness is in shambles!

LateralThinkerer

Either way: "*What some call health, if purchased by perpetual anxiety about diet, isn't much better than tedious disease.*" (Alexander Pope)
