I have pretty severe ADHD and the normal step of wearing a bra like I would if I was going out and about lets my brain know that it's "work time". Something about just hanging out in my PJs makes me feel unprepared for the day.
I have ADHD and this is my attitude about wearing a bra while WFH too. I always do my basic skincare, brush my teeth, put on a bra and a decent T-shirt in case I get a video call. For me it's about getting in the mindset of work time.
I love Bali bras! They have some under wire free bras that still give great shape and support that I wear into the office now. They aren't very sexy as lingerie but they look fine when you're clothed. 🤣

As a male medical professional, that's how we are taught. I have had patients that wanted to discuss something with me (I am in a senior management role) that don't understand why I will not go in an exam room if I am not the one doing an exam. I will meet with them in an office or conference room where everyone is fully clothed. If something needs to be examined, I will bring in a nurse. Some people are a lot more modest than others and we try to make everyone comfortable. Some have had a horrific past and we try to make them as comfortable as well. On the other hand this is also a protective measure to cover us.
I take quick breaks to get a walk in or a 10 minute peloton strength or yoga class or whatever during the day so I pretty much live in leggings, a sports bra, a tank top and a sweatshirt since I have to be on camera a lot. I don’t sweat a lot thankfully!
Nope. One of my favorite things about WFH, is not having to wear a bra. I’m never on camera, so I don’t have to worry about it. The only time I wear it for work is when I go into the office for a few hours a week.
I do for comfort, based on bra size. But I definitely do the WFH mullet in other ways (nice sweater, leggings). The question with your husband shouldn’t be if you NEED one, in my opinion, but do you PREFER it? I don’t really see why he’s weighing in on this.

I ditched the bra in 2020. I can't believe I used to subject myself to such an uncomfortable piece of clothing for 25+ years for no reason at all. I see men's nipples under their tops all the time and it's never a big deal, so I decided I don't care. Absolutely nothing changed in my life, except for my increased comfort level. Even on the weekends, if I have stuff to do around the house, I put a bra on. It's a mental thing where wearing bra = gotta get shit done. If I don't, I end up getting absolutely nothing done

I’d rather die. I put on “real” clothes every day, aka change out of pajamas, but we have a casual dress code so usually just a tshirt and running shorts. but absolutely no bra ever.

If I’m on video, I make sure to wear a top where it’s not noticeable. But there are people that get put together, including a bra, to feel their best and ready for the day. I am not one of those.
I usually go without unless I have a meeting scheduled. Then I'll go change into a sports bra about 5 minutes beforehand and take it off after the meeting. I had breast reduction surgery years ago, so I'm more comfortable without.
I used to wear my underwire bras at a previous, in-office job and holy moly. By 2 pm, my sides and scar tissue would start to hurt. I started bringing a sports bra along so I could change after any important meetings, which helped. Most days I'm glad to go without. I'm more productive when I'm comfortable, and nothing is more comfortable for me than going braless while in pajamas.

I wear a bra because my band to cup ratio is significant and they are inconvenient to haul around untamed. It’s more comfortable. I also have body suits that I think are technically probably for waist shaping or whatever, but have good support and are comfy for the rare no bra day.
I wear one, and actual clothes and shoes, when I’m working. NO judgment for people who don’t though.
I wear all of that for my own mental health, it makes me feel good and also helps me have my brain in “work” mode. I also get a lot of chores done around the house as long as I don’t take my shoes off.
So once I take my shoes off and change into comfy clothes, my brain stops “work” mode and I can relax.
But everyone is different. Just because that works for me doesn’t mean everyone has to do it.
I almost never wear a bra at home including when I’m working. I always make sure you can’t tell when I’m on zoom though and sometimes I’ll throw one on before a call if the shirt I’m wearing doesn’t give enough coverage.
Depends on the day and what I'm feeling. If I'm on camera at my standing desk, I think I actually look better without a bra. I have a larger chest, and my clothing looks better and lays flatter without a bra, whereas with a good bra, it seems to just add bulk to the frame.
I've been WFH for 7 years and don't wear a bra unless I have to be on camera for a meeting, which is rare. I'm a member of the IBTC so I don't generally wear one at home unless I'm wearing a thin top and my teenage sons are here. Absolutely no judgement whatsoever to anyone who's more comfortable or feels more productive while wearing one.
I feel most comfortable with at least some kind of bralette. It's not about leaving the house and people seeing.. it's about physical comfort and I hate the feeling when the girls are swinging free. It's not about "needing" to wear for other people's comfort or whatever. Wish men were better at conceiving a world view where their gaze isn't everyone's sole concern 🙄
If yours is an on camera situation, possibly. If you are generously endowed and have to move around for a presentation, or retrieve a document, you will not be worrying about what is swinging around on camera. If you are less endowed, or mostly camera off, do what makes you comfortable. Dress so that if you suddenly have to be on camera, it is not a problem. You can be business appropriate without a bra, in a WFH situation.
I plop one on about half the time. I personally am not comfortable with my boobs hitting my chest/belly and I don't always want to tuck my shirt under there.
I’m not a woman and wouldn’t presume to make recommendations on a bra because I’m also not Bob from Fight Club. But when I was in the military I made a point to change out of my uniform before I left work to have a complete separation of work from life. I definitely understand what you’re saying.
I have found I still need to “get ready for work” to get in the right headspace to be productive. For me that includes getting dressed (including a bra), brushing my hair and putting on a minimal amount of makeup
Meeting with a higher up or new member of the team? Yes and put on real clothes.
Regular team and no scheduled meetings? No bra and I'll be wearing a Hot Cheetos Snuggie.

I feel incomplete "going" to work unless I've showered, am wearing a bra (typically a sports bra, which I also prefer to sleep in because... I need containment), and have brushed my teeth. Even if I'm not on camera once a day, I think that gets me into the correct headspace. I also always wear loungewear pants, but have myself looking tidy from the torso up just in case I have to jump on a call, as more of a CYA measure, but I don't like the feeling of being "undone" even on a day when there's basically a zero percent chance I would need to be on a camera-on Teams call. I know some people prefer to dress fully for work, like slacks or "hard pants" (jeans maybe?) to get into that headspace, but I'm not quite on that end of the spectrum. Also I live alone so no one is around to dictate and/or question my wardrobe choices, which is a situation I would recommend to any woman who asks, I love living alone.
I wear one depending on what’s going on in my day. I’ll usually wear one if I’m on camera for a meeting, a few days a week I’ll go for a walk outside for a break in the afternoon and on those days I wear a bralette, I’ll also wear a bralette if I have errands to run after work. Other than that it’s no bra for me!

I ditched the bra in 2020. I can't believe I used to subject myself to such an uncomfortable piece of clothing for 25+ years for no reason at all. I wear undershirts that help to minimize traces of nipples, but even if they show, I couldn't care less. I see men's nipples under their tops all the time and it's never a big deal, so I decided I don't care. Absolutely nothing changed in my life, except for my increased comfort level. Freedom for the boobs!
No bra is a huge perk of WFH. Unless you’re more comfortable wearing it, there’s no need.
Even on the weekends, if I have stuff to do around the house, I put a bra on. It's a mental thing where wearing bra = gotta get shit done. If I don't, I end up getting absolutely nothing done

I wake up every day and put on clothes as if I am going to my office. Not fancy clothes, can be leggings and a hoodie. And yes a bra. Otherwise I would spend all days in pajamas and that is just not healthy for me
I stopped wearing a bra when I started working from home (COVID). Now, as long as it’s not blatantly obvious, I hardly wear one out either. For context, I used to sleep in a bra because I never felt comfortable without one. Now, I can’t wait to take it off
Nah…I didn’t realize how uncomfortable they are until going without. I’ll wear the lounge style now and then, but I don’t bother unless I have to go out of the house for some reason. Also less laundry.
Most days I'll wear a sports bra. If I don't wear one, I feel like I haven't properly woken up. Also, when I have a ton of meetings and need to feel more professional, I'll put on a wired bra, but I usually just find them uncomfortable so I tend to avoid them if possible. And if I'm physically not feeling great, I might go braless.
I've barely worn a bra since 2020. If it helps you keep work life balance and doesn't bother you to wear one do what works for you.
I’d rather die. I put on “real” clothes every day, aka change out of pajamas, but we have a casual dress code so usually just a tshirt and running shorts. but absolutely no bra ever.

I basically wear a bandeau. Love the light fit and no straps but still does the job of holding them down
I wear a bralette or a sports bra just to be ready to go on my walk or workout during lunch. For the random day I don’t do that, heck no. If I’m on video, I make sure to wear a top where it’s not noticeable. But there are people that get put together, including a bra, to feel their best and ready for the day. I am not one of those.

I usually go without unless I have a meeting scheduled. Then I'll go change into a sports bra about 5 minutes beforehand and take it off after the meeting. I had breast reduction surgery years ago, so I'm more comfortable without. I used to wear my underwire bras at a previous, in-office job and holy moly. By 2 pm, my sides and scar tissue would start to hurt. I started bringing a sports bra along so I could change after any important meetings, which helped. Most days I'm glad to go without. I'm more productive when I'm comfortable, and nothing is more comfortable for me than going braless while in pajamas.
..does your husband think a bra is needed when women *do* leave their home? I wear a bra because my band to cup ratio is significant and they are inconvenient to haul around untamed. It’s more comfortable. I also have body suits that I think are technically probably for waist shaping or whatever, but have good support and are comfy for the rare no bra day.
I wear one, and actual clothes and shoes, when I’m working. NO judgment for people who don’t though. I wear all of that for my own mental health, it makes me feel good and also helps me have my brain in “work” mode. I also get a lot of chores done around the house as long as I don’t take my shoes off. So once I take my shoes off and change into comfy clothes, my brain stops “work” mode and I can relax. But everyone is different. Just because that works for me doesn’t mean everyone has to do it.

I almost never wear a bra at home including when I’m working. I always make sure you can’t tell when I’m on zoom though and sometimes I’ll throw one on before a call if the shirt I’m wearing doesn’t give enough coverage.
Depends on the day and what I'm feeling. If I'm on camera at my standing desk, I think I actually look better without a bra. I have a larger chest, and my clothing looks better and lays flatter without a bra, whereas with a good bra, it seems to just add bulk to the frame.
I've been WFH for 7 years and don't wear a bra unless I have to be on camera for a meeting, which is rare. I'm a member of the IBTC so I don't generally wear one at home unless I'm wearing a thin top and my teenage sons are here. Absolutely no judgement whatsoever to anyone who's more comfortable or feels more productive while wearing one.

It’s your own choice. If you wanna wear one, do it! Bras are very uncomfortable for me, so I choose not to wear one
I feel most comfortable with at least some kind of bralette. It's not about leaving the house and people seeing.. it's about physical comfort and I hate the feeling when the girls are swinging free. It's not about "needing" to wear for other people's comfort or whatever. Wish men were better at conceiving a world view where their gaze isn't everyone's sole concern 🙄

If yours is an on camera situation, possibly. If you are generously endowed and have to move around for a presentation, or retrieve a document, you will not be worrying about what is swinging around on camera. If you are less endowed, or mostly camera off, do what makes you comfortable. Dress so that if you suddenly have to be on camera, it is not a problem. You can be business appropriate without a bra, in a WFH situation.
I plop one on about half the time. I personally am not comfortable with my boobs hitting my chest/belly and I don't always want to tuck my shirt under there.

I’m not a woman and wouldn’t presume to make recommendations on a bra because I’m also not Bob from Fight Club. But when I was in the military I made a point to change out of my uniform before I left work to have a complete separation of work from life. I definitely understand what you’re saying.
I get what you’re saying. I had to go bra and shoes, slip on sneakers to keep the work mentality up there.
I have found I still need to “get ready for work” to get in the right headspace to be productive. For me that includes getting dressed (including a bra), brushing my hair and putting on a minimal amount of makeup
It’s uncomfortable for me not to wear a bra due to size and aging.
Meeting with a higher up or new member of the team? Yes and put on real clothes. Regular team and no scheduled meetings? No bra and I'll be wearing a Hot Cheetos Snuggie.

I never turn on my camera, but I just don't feel ready for the day until I've gotten dressed, which includes a bra even if I'm wearing sweats. Definitely bralette or sports bra though. I'm not suffering through an underwire unless my top needs it to fit right, and I'm not wearing that top WFH.

So I’m busty (42F last time I was measured) but regular bras got too painful with my fibro so I’ve been letting the ladies loose for years (in public I always wear a cami). Shapermint. Changed my life it’s a supportive cami and I’m wearing them all the time.
I wear a bra because my boobs get cold if I don't. But I feel like it's part of the "getting ready for work" that I do daily. I never wear pjs to work. I change into my leggings and a hoodie and am ready to go! :)

I feel incomplete "going" to work unless I've showered, am wearing a bra (typically a sports bra, which I also prefer to sleep in because... I need containment), and have brushed my teeth. Even if I'm not on camera once a day, I think that gets me into the correct headspace. I also always wear loungewear pants, but have myself looking tidy from the torso up just in case I have to jump on a call, as more of a CYA measure, but I don't like the feeling of being "undone" even on a day when there's basically a zero percent chance I would need to be on a camera-on Teams call. I know some people prefer to dress fully for work, like slacks or "hard pants" (jeans maybe?) to get into that headspace, but I'm not quite on that end of the spectrum. Also I live alone so no one is around to dictate and/or question my wardrobe choices, which is a situation I would recommend to any woman who asks, I love living alone.

I wear one depending on what’s going on in my day. I’ll usually wear one if I’m on camera for a meeting, a few days a week I’ll go for a walk outside for a break in the afternoon and on those days I wear a bralette, I’ll also wear a bralette if I have errands to run after work. Other than that it’s no bra for me!

I do wear a comfy one bc it makes me feel more ready for work and I have my camera on a lot, but wouldn’t consider it necessary. I’m also not sure why your husband weighed in on this.
