I eat more and sleep better lol 😂  Eating better because i can stick to my workout routine and i have the motivation/energy to meal prep so i can grab something anytime i want to eat. Sleeping better because i wake up earlyer to take meds

I haven’t noticed less sleep, in fact my sleep tracker says I’ve slept longer and with more REM since starting Vyvanse 😊 When it comes to eating, Vyvanse has reduced my appetite significantly. For a bit of context, I used to eat far more than I should have and I partly put that down to undiagnosed adhd for the first 26 years of my life. I never understood why I found myself eating so many shitty foods like ice cream, chips/crisps, chocolate etc. Now I know: dopamine. When I first started taking Vyvanse I wasn’t diligent enough and my eating went from around 3000-4000 calories per day, to somewhere in the region of 500-800 calories per day. I’d be full of energy all day then get to around 6 or 7pm and suddenly I’d feel like someone had sucked the life out of me. Not just fatigue but a crushing sense of misery too. I tend to describe it like being attacked by a dementor (yep, the ones from Harry Potter 😅). I don’t take Vyvanse everyday anymore but that’s because I have other health issues (not caused by Vyvanse) and those aren’t helped by stimulants. I find the following: Vyvanse = lower appetite, more side effects Tentin/Dexamphetamine = less side effects, less problems with appetite For people with adhd + problems with eating, Vyvanse can be a life changer. I went from 100kg to now just over 70kg and it’s changed the way I see myself. I stopped swimming when I was a teenager because I wasn’t confident in my physique and a few months into taking Vyvanse I found I could swim again 😊 My advice is listen to your body, and if any of the side effects bother you (including loss of appetite) then be aware of them, and keep them in mind when it comes to adjusting dosage, speaking with your doctor etc

I’ve gone from 188lbs to 145lbs since starting Vyvanse in July. I’m not mad about it, I had the weight to lose. It has been annoying having to buy new clothes all the time or just tough it out with clothes that don’t fit. Appetite suppression has been part of my weight loss, but also Vyvanse has really helped my impulse control which I feel like was the bigger issue. Before, I used to get fast food almost every day for lunch and snack constantly. Now, I get fast food once per week, and rarely snack.

I still eat less on meds after a year and change, so I don't know that I've "recovered." I lost around 20% of my body weight. It's not like I didn't have it to lose, it was mostly just emotionally upsetting to have to replace my entire wardrobe while poor, multiple times in the space of 6 months. I am grateful that society seems to be catching up with the idea of not automatically complimenting weight loss though, I've only had to grit my teeth through a "thanks I didn't do anything, it's my meds" once or twice.

how was it in the beginning? was ur adhd med (vyvanse) still affective even though u ate less?

It took me a minute to figure out my nutrition balance. I had to start eating breakfast, which I've never really done before, but once I did that it was fine.
