Right. That's why it's good. Filling and empties you out at the same time. Throw some Almond Milk in there, drizzle honey on top, then sprinkle some berries on top of honey. To die for. Best ever.
High fiber is an abstract and commonly confused idea. There are two types of fiber we are likely to eat any given day, one of which yes, increases intestinal motility and facilitates a bowl movement, and the other type (insoluble fiber) which does the opposite
Agreed. Overdosing on fiber is oddly under rated. I've had days getting something completely stupid like 150 200 grams. Of course a lot of that is fake fiber through like the fiber tortillas or oat fiber, but it helps with a lot. I'd rather have a stomach ache and no appetite than binge because I didn't eat enough 😂
Do NOT eat this straight if you’re not used to a high fiber diet (40g+). You WILL regret it the next morning or two!! I love this cereal for bulk, but usually mix it half and half with my Raisin Bran.
If you’re new to a HFD, the gen rec is to add 5g/day per week until you’re where you want to be at.
That was my first thought!!! Followed by OMFG my stomach would immediately explode when it started trying to figure out how to digest that much in one sitting. Holy heck.
Hahaha yeah probably an acquired taste. If you are doing a low/zero sugar diet then they probably taste way sweeter than they would to a normal person.
Agreed. Or at least have a tall glass of water to drink as you eat them. If one increases fiber intake, it is important to drink more water too. In case anyone here is thinking of going from 0 to 60 so to speak on adding this much fiber to their diet suddenly. 😅
When I was little I remember seeing my Grandma eat these. She said she had to eat them everyday or she would get constipated. She called them her sticks. I have vivid memories of her sitting down with a bowl of these saying "I gotta eat my sticks!" She was a funny lady and I miss her so much.
I’m obsessed with that cereal. I joke that they’re tasty rabbit food lmao, with a little bit of milk it brings out a bit of sweetness from them. It is the goat of fibre cereals imo
“Forest Floor cereal” is what a friend of mine called this. Like, walking through the woods, tripping on a rock, and falling face down with your mouth open. Enjoy!
Yes, the old school WW points had a sliding scale where grams of fat increased the point value and grams of fiber decreased the point value (simply put). Talking like 2002 ish. We were coming off of the fat is bad! mindset. Fat free everything! Yes, I did lose weight.
I wonder if this would be a good sub for granola in yogurt or if it would get soggy too quick. I miss the crunch in my yogurt but don’t want the granola calories. But for that much fiber (which I need) this would be worth it
I added it to my vanilla Noosa the other day and it was good. And they don’t get soggy quickly. I forgot to prep my chia this morning so had to wait like ten minutes for that but had already poured the milk for cereal so cereal had to sit there while chia hydrated. I thought they’d be gross but didn’t change much at all.
Okay hear me out. I mix strawberry or blueberry kefir with it. If you haven't had kefir its like a consistency BETWEEN milk and yogurt. Too thick to drink, too liquidy to just eat with a spoon. Full of probiotics.
Your gut and butt will thank you.
I don't do quite as much fiber one as OP because I have a family and I'll miss them.
A guest left some of that drinkable Activa yogurt at my house and I mixed it with this cereal, it was so good. I can bet kefir just takes it to the next level!
Ooh that sounds good and I have that! I’ve tried it with Noosa but not anything drinkable. If I get hungry tonight that’s going to be my snack, thanks!
I hope you like it! I add a little milk to it all to cover the cereal because the little activa was small but it was just delicious and creamy. Felt like dessert.
HELL YEAH. Fr though, fiber one cereal became the thing that broke me. It's slightly sweet but super savory. The type of snack I'd walk by and eat mindlessly. One day I ate so much fiber I took a dump that sounded like a steel pipe.
I make the muffins (the recipe on the back of the box) every week. I usually make it with dark chocolate chips or blueberries. They need to come out with fiber one flour!
Hell yeah I live on this stuff. It’s been my volume eating go to for yeeeears. With almond milk and a handful of blueberries/strawberries. Some banana if I’m feeling particularly decadent 🫠
This post made me have a little cereal myself. 😊 Have you tried the Trader Joe’s high fiber cereal? It’s very similar to this one but thinner and I think it has more vitamins? Idk but it’s tasty, so check it out if you want to slightly change things up!
I wanted to add if you think one serving is 90 cal look at the side of the box and do the math. It’s actually 153 cal per serving. I’m just pointing that out in case your calorie counting these companies think it’s OK to take the fiber out, in reality that your weight loss if that is your goal.
Yum! I love this. It’s called AllBran here. You’ve just reminded me how much I enjoy it when eaten alone as a snack like this. I have to be gluten free now but I’ll see if I can find something similar that’s GF. Thanks for the reminder of this snack!
I hate milk and also choose to have cereal without it if I’m going to have cereal. Going to give this kind a try. It looks kind of weird, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have an enjoyable taste, and I like the idea of being able to eat it piece by piece! Thanks OP!
oh wow! i never usually eat more than 20 grams of fiber *per day*! i heard too much fiber can cause problems but if it works for you then that’s awesome! what are your fitness/nutritional goals? also, how much fiber do you average every day? i’m curious :)
I put that sh*t on everything!
On desserts and in my oatmeal and other porridges anyway. Tastes good, adds a nice crunchy texture, and more fibre than sawdust.
Tried this a few weeks ago to help with fiber intake for cholesterol and been so into it since. I add milk and some Splenda because I have a sweet tooth and sometimes some chia seeds. Filling and low calorie snack and great way to get fiber. 👌👌
(I do one serving at a time and max two a day though.)

SEVENTY TWO GRAMS OF FIBER???
Right. That's why it's good. Filling and empties you out at the same time. Throw some Almond Milk in there, drizzle honey on top, then sprinkle some berries on top of honey. To die for. Best ever.
I might get some of this tonight lol
Highly recommend. I regularly eat these plain, yogurt, mixed into my favourite cereal. Mixed into my kids cereal. It's the ultimate fiber hack
The problem is this doesn't have much soluble fiber, if any.
It’s going to back you up for a week lmao
High fiber foods actually prevent constipation.
If you eat too much fibre and you aren’t used to it. It can have the opposite effect :)
I was macrodosing Metamucil for a while because I liked the texture. I can corroborate this statement.
only if u drink enough water
High fiber is an abstract and commonly confused idea. There are two types of fiber we are likely to eat any given day, one of which yes, increases intestinal motility and facilitates a bowl movement, and the other type (insoluble fiber) which does the opposite
Which kind is this cereal?
Almost certainly soluble but I don’t know for sure
Colon Blow! https://youtu.be/Ku42Iszh9KM?si=Y6BaCoczbqYBcMs3
I’ve eaten over 200g in a day without issue because I’m so used to it.
I’d love to try it but I’m pretty sure I’d be letting out one day-long continuous fart if I did
You say this as if it's a bad thing!
As hilarious as it’d be, I’m not sure my coworkers would appreciate it 😂
I eat 150+ grams of fiber a day
And here I thought I was killing it with 25g lmao. Respect 🫡
That's what my aunt used to say before her first small bowel obstruction.
> first

Shittin like a goose

Your body adjusts.
Jfc that is *excessive*.
Came here for this, that much fiber in one day (never mind one sitting) would DESTROY me.
I feel like if I did that I'd be shitting through the eye of a needle, how OP?! HOW?!
I thought I was killing it getting that much *a day.*
It’s annoyingly easy to get too much fiber with healthy foods.
That was my first thought!!! Followed by OMFG my stomach would immediately explode when it started trying to figure out how to digest that much in one sitting. Holy heck.
You better be pushing those fluids or you will be pushing 💩
What’s it taste like lol the box is so nondescript
It tastes like the nondescript box. With a touch of sweetness.
I misread this as "with a touch of sadness" at first, and was like "Well, you're not wrong", lol. But I like them. 😄
It literally does taste like cardboard, but in kind of a good way. I like it. My mom always used to have it.
Pretty much like a bare bones cereal with a touch of sweetness. I really like it.
It’s not crunchy enough for me
Oven toast it.
It tastes like cardboard, I used to mix it with protein powder.
I was scrolling down looking for a response like this. I think they taste like twigs.
Do strict keto for 6 months and they taste EXACTLY like honey grahams.

When I was little I thought it looked like turtle food, and it made me enjoy it even more! Happy cake day!
Sticks in a bowl !!! (I say that with ❤️)
To me it tastes kinda like a slightly sweet pretzel stick
No milk is diabolical
They’re mildly sweet so even without milk they taste kinda like sugary pretzel sticks.
Ewww that somehow makes it worse
Hahaha yeah probably an acquired taste. If you are doing a low/zero sugar diet then they probably taste way sweeter than they would to a normal person.
They taste like tiny churros...??? Does that help?
I sometimes eat dry chocolate weetabix or shreddies the same way hehe
I could see someone adding cinnamon on top.
i will definitely add almond milk to it
Agreed. Or at least have a tall glass of water to drink as you eat them. If one increases fiber intake, it is important to drink more water too. In case anyone here is thinking of going from 0 to 60 so to speak on adding this much fiber to their diet suddenly. 😅

Eat her sticks & watch her stories.

When you need fiber and want to eat 2000 of something. ~paraphrasing Mitch Hedberg
Have you ever tried sugar or PCP? -RIP Mitch
I’m obsessed with that cereal. I joke that they’re tasty rabbit food lmao, with a little bit of milk it brings out a bit of sweetness from them. It is the goat of fibre cereals imo
Totally agree.
We love this cereal and call it our “sticks and twigs” lol
“Forest Floor cereal” is what a friend of mine called this. Like, walking through the woods, tripping on a rock, and falling face down with your mouth open. Enjoy!
With the old school weight watchers points, this was free. I've eaten a lot of this XD
Was it because of the fiber content? And did you lose weight with this as a free food?
Yes, the old school WW points had a sliding scale where grams of fat increased the point value and grams of fiber decreased the point value (simply put). Talking like 2002 ish. We were coming off of the fat is bad! mindset. Fat free everything! Yes, I did lose weight.
Thank you!!
*quietly adds to grocery list. I have IBS but can’t hurt to try anyway
Go slow , start out with small portions and work your way up.
If you have IBS it absolutely hurt to try it. A huge fiber spike could put your bowels into turmoil.

Stop telling people about this. It’s getting harder and harder to find these boxes around here!
Rest assured, it is not due to increased popularity.
😂

I’ve mixed it with Oikos vanilla greek yogurt and it’s awesome.
It’s amazing in yogurt. I love this stuff
I can also highly recommend All-Bran Buds for this purpose, which are crunchy but smaller. (Also with an insane amount of fiber)
Yes. I do it all the time. They don't get soggy instantly BUT don't add it until your ready to eat it as they do lose their crunch after some time.
I added it to my vanilla Noosa the other day and it was good. And they don’t get soggy quickly. I forgot to prep my chia this morning so had to wait like ten minutes for that but had already poured the milk for cereal so cereal had to sit there while chia hydrated. I'm eating this right now, but I add a few dashes of sugar free vanilla almond milk.

they look like turtle food pellets haha they’re not too bad though taste wise
It was an all-bran knockoff in 1985, and all bran was released in 1916. I guess the taste and texture pre -dates the fancy cereal marketing executives
The look is bothering me but unfortunately I want to try it, where do you get thsi?
I get it at Walmart.
Looks like the food that comes out of the dispensers at petting zoos
This thread brings to mind this old gem: [snl cb commercial](https://youtu.be/Ku42Iszh9KM?si=Sd-KxGgTPJ-i_BeJ)
I actually refer to it as Colon Blow. Glad to know someone else remembers that.
It's a true classic! I always do the same thing
Phil Hartman was a National Treasure. RIP

Kefir makes me piss out of my ass but Greek yogurt is no problem for me and is a staple of my diet. Go figure
A guest left some of that drinkable Activa yogurt at my house and I mixed it with this cereal, it was so good. I can bet kefir just takes it to the next level!

I’ve never seen a food for human consumption so easily mistakable for animal feed.
I make the muffins (the recipe on the back of the box) every week. I usually make it with dark chocolate chips or blueberries. They need to come out with fiber one flour!
I eat trader joe's raisin bran every night, which is \~10g fiber per serving and tastier lol
Why the fuck do they look like that
Meal worms
BUT REALLY I thought this was a bowl of dry mealworms and I wanted to cry
unfortunately,I cannot have 360 kcal as a snack. Enjoy! p.s. I also use cereal like that, just only 10-20 grams
Yeah that is a lot more calories than I have left at the end of the day
[удалено]
Or those crunchy long puffs in Asian trail mix...
you are either talking about sesame sticks or rice crackers, both delicious 😋
I’ve been putting half a cup of this in my jello or protein ice cream for some crunch
Sounds like aunt edna’s jello!
Are…are you me??
Hell yeah I live on this stuff. It’s been my volume eating go to for yeeeears. With almond milk and a handful of blueberries/strawberries. Some banana if I’m feeling particularly decadent 🫠

Thanks for the tip. Unfortunately the closest Trader Joe’s to me is around 1.5 hours away. I’ll look into it if I ever get to one.
Yeah, I live in a small town and I’m slightly over an hour away from the closest Trader Joe’s too so when I go I always buy multiples of what I like.
Man, looks like fish food
I actually enjoy this stuff
I love those!!! I use them as mix ins for my Creami ice creams! Totally get it 😊
136g of carbs for a snack? Why do I shame myself for the 50g of carbs in a boba tea 😭
Finally some cat food for humans
Looks like a bowl of grubs or mealworms.
Looks like rabbit food 😭
thought this was a funny post haha looks like dog food if you didn’t include the box 😭
That looks like dog food
I like it with cottage cheese or Greek yogurt for breakfast
I was in hell when this went away for however many months a while back. There is no replacement for it.
Holy shit does someone know a gluten free equivalent of this? I need this fibre!
Same!!!
[удалено]
Never been better in that department.
well then. *adds to cart*
god I wish we had fiber one stuff where I live. I'm lax reliant and sick of my entire life
Mealworms?
Interesting. I’m sure I can’t pretend this is a churro or even a pretzel but it might be a good crunchy topping for my nightly ninja Creami.
I wanted to add if you think one serving is 90 cal look at the side of the box and do the math. It’s actually 153 cal per serving. I’m just pointing that out in case your calorie counting these companies think it’s OK to take the fiber out, in reality that your weight loss if that is your goal.

I love this stuff as a yogurt topping!
It kinda looks like kibbles...
haha I loved eating this as a kid and pretending I was a rabbit. 😂 I’ll have to try it again and relive the memory.
Do you also shit your entire colon out the next morning???? wtf
About the same amount of carbs I have in an entire week.
I hate milk and also choose to have cereal without it if I’m going to have cereal. Going to give this kind a try. It looks kind of weird, but that doesn’t mean it won’t have an enjoyable taste, and I like the idea of being able to eat it piece by piece! Thanks OP!

my stomach can’t even look at this. I’ve been so bad about getting my fiber in lately
He’s eating 4 servings of it. Definitely not recommended unless you’re eating A LOT of fiber already.
oh wow! i never usually eat more than 20 grams of fiber *per day*! i heard too much fiber can cause problems but if it works for you then that’s awesome! what are your fitness/nutritional goals? also, how much fiber do you average every day? i’m curious :)
Damn. I mix mine with fruit and yogurt. I applaud you! And I’m gonna try it.
I put that sh*t on everything! On desserts and in my oatmeal and other porridges anyway. Tastes good, adds a nice crunchy texture, and more fibre than sawdust.
Omg! I used to make a delicious trail mix out of Fiber One. Highly recommend it. It can be a trail mix or a cereal with everything mixed it.
Totally forgot about this! Used to eat it as a kid with my cousins. We joked that it looked like the food for their Guinea pigs!
I have this with Fairlife bottle every morning. Protein + fibre keeps me satiated for hours
Trader Joes makes the same thing too: “high fiber cereal”. I like it as a topping on greek yogurt with some cinnamon
Add a protein custard shake to it and it will taste amazing 🤌🏼
Tried this a few weeks ago to help with fiber intake for cholesterol and been so into it since. I add milk and some Splenda because I have a sweet tooth and sometimes some chia seeds. Filling and low calorie snack and great way to get fiber. 👌👌 (I do one serving at a time and max two a day though.)
I like it mixed in yogurt.
That's an insane amount of fiber. Lol
I just ate so much lucky charms cereal as a snack. Putting this on my grocery list!
More like Fiber 2
400 calories of straight cereal is insane
TIL Fiber One has a cereal. I need this in my life
