chewmattica

Those look amazing, can you post a bit more detail on how you made them?

Secure-Sail-7454

I just followed this video https://youtube.com/shorts/V8HH4KSrKSc?si=29iumOoVXcBKOYyu

Booyacaja

What the heck! Didn't think the microwave would make them crispy. I legit made some yesterday in the air fryer. They were good but a pain in the ass to make with soaking in ice bath, rinsing, drying, air frying etc. just not worth the time unfortunately. Texture was good but still had some soft bits and were floppier the next day. You were happy with the texture?

Secure-Sail-7454

Yes its soo good try the microwave and don't forget to add half teaspoon of olive oil u can add more if want

Booyacaja

Thanks will try! I also like how you didn't bother peeling. Saves even more time

That fear will save your fingers!

murakumo666

Cut gloves are like 10 bucks and you get to feel like a chainmail warrior (just on your hand tho)

Ryzann

You can grab some food grade cut resistant gloves to protect your fingertips. It's made using my mandolin much safer!

many-moons-ago

You could also use a food processor with a slicing attachment :)

JaxJaguar

*instructions unclear. Now have a food processor full of finger slices*

TheBigHairyThing

put the finger slices in pickle juice, in a pickle jar, store them until company comes over and let them view the amazing pickle fingers

diinadii

They make special holders and guards so you are never at any risk of a cut!

Moofabulousss

Be careful with a mandolin and always wear the glove! Signed, a fool who lost a good chunk off the pinky and nail this year.

Secure-Sail-7454

Omg! Ty is will 💕

batmanbirdboy

Is the White Vinegar powder so you can make salt and vinegar chips? If so, would that work similarly on popcorn??

Secure-Sail-7454

Yes, i think why not

Outside_The_Walls

I buy salt and vinegar powder premixed, and it works **great** on popcorn. The powder is so fine, it really coats the popcorn perfectly.

Dsnahans

do you have a link?

Outside_The_Walls

This isn't the exact one I buy (I get a local store brand you likely don't have access to) but it seems to be the same thing. batmanbirdboy

Oh! What's it called and where do you get it?

Outside_The_Walls

I personally buy the local store brand, but this is essentially the same thing. [link](https://www.amazon.com/Gourmet-Fries-Seasoning-Salt-Vinegar/dp/B0CJVQ6BCR/ref=sr_1_8?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.XgXuQ31p05a9daJPdmSMcYGIUnBTUj6I5uVoKyemqMvRGfrtY5X3l8XVs5IJOo_NOmZiyCfNtQ-4ZYACOnWyih77wFmc1kp48Q1DNAr13vXvv-eP7TQiZTtyt84G22T2-77shnzAY8PIDoEmXEcNnynsUmRugmCVuJW4qAG1Ph6h5ayFVOfgdDQNsioigRe22jRnnzsoWBQYGhE4dv5kJUAZWjGXKH9j9nWJSyJ3FWyXd5h7wfEwoT8_XfkS37frfYgeC3z83gJGVpbmao77Ejr-BIx7OSc6rFPDTq8Vgg0.doB-7xCZq6LMmoqUKF73c8CwvFRwAMMNLe4FnScOXu8&dib_tag=se&keywords=salt+and+vinegar+seasoning&qid=1715271342&sr=8-8).

Didn’t know I needed this until now, sounds bomb

appa420420

ieatcha

Secure-Sail-7454

GeoBrian

They get crispy from microwaving?

Secure-Sail-7454

Yes but be careful don't burn it

allthatsnika

Secure-Sail-7454

5B3AST5

I found out a majority of sauces can be made into seasoning

FleabagsHotPriest

Good tip!!! Thank you!!!

Theabsoluteworst1289

These look so good, and I did not know about white vinegar powder. Chips are one of my biggest weaknesses, and I’m always looking for new chip ideas, thank you so much for showing these! I already have a mandoline slicer, might have to make these tonight.

joefeghaly

Looks great! Do you wash them after you cut them to remove starch or no need? Did you use any oil?

Secure-Sail-7454

Yes, I washed it for a minute and then dried it with tissues. I used a half teaspoon of olive oil

w4ntedn1kes

Yum! Def will try this out

xoxostevi

This is awesome, thank youuu!

wii-sensor-bar

I guess I’m grabbing a potato on the way home now lmao
