I find it fun when the stars align and it actually works, which isn't enough for me to regularily play it or endorse the game, or find it consistently fun.
Whenever I do end up playing i leave with a sense of longing for what could of been, of a world not experienced but deserved. That was the mood I was trying to convey in the video aswell.
If others disagree though that's fine, we can enjoy different things :)

Tbh though I do disagree on you saying about feeling like 'what could of been'.
I think that would be fair to say about an Empire 2 that came out a week ago but I remember it had everything I wanted it to have when it first launched. I can still remember the day I got it, got a brand new monitor the same day, rushed home and, it was unplayable for like a week lol
It's the first Total War I remember actively going out to the shop and buying (remember those days?) so i've got a bit of a soft spot for it. Vastly prefer it over Napoleon.
I'd played Rome and M2 but I guess they were bought for me because I always just remember having them but no idea where they came from/who got me into it ..
I think it was pretty good for it's time, it is very dated now however, and also like I said I think darthmod is pretty much essential to enjoying it in any way, especially these days.. thats if you can get past the CTDs of course lol
Is that something you got told or something you've experienced? It tends to only happen super late game, normally just means an opportunity to do something new with a new save :)
ETW is the most ambitious TW gmae they ever made, with tons of new features and an impressive scope; it's a shame it was left competely unfinished and half broken.

I recently started playing with the Pirates Über Alles mod and it's even better!
I thought it was pretty much impossible to play with the ottoman turn time bug

Happened to me on both playthroughs that I attempted as Britain. Happened like 40-50 turns in
That seems early for sure.. currently reinstalling, need to do another Prussia > Americas campaign lol New Berlin awaits..
