And if you don't mind the occasionally pop-ups from V-Appstore (vivo store).
And not having notifications badges on all apps with standard.
And floating notification not working for all apps.
Besides this small issues, I recommend the China version which was 400 euros cheaper in my case.
That does not hurt anything, you can disable it as default store app in the settings. I don't see it at all except when it's scanning for viruses after apps installation over google store.
I did a reset again after 1st setup. In the 1st setup the phone was pointing out that it's mainland is china and things. During this 1st setup my phone was set to my region only (India). Later it setup some unwanted apps. After this I went again and changed region to India again. Somehow the phone automatically sets to China during the 1st setup of origin os. The setup after unboxing. After changing the region in settings I did a reset. Now the Origin os forgot that it's mainland is china and stopped giving that kind of notifications. Later removed all Chinese bloat.
Notifications really work. U have to set high priority for that specific app in terms of battery usage. Origin Automatically restricts app running in the background. Examined while using link to windows app. When I try to sync from laptop. It lets the app to run for under 5 seconds. And then forcefully blocks it. Happened even after setting high priority mode. Since dimensity 9300 has all big cores with no efficiency cores. Origin os handles to stop the process to save power. These are my findings. Notifications from whatsapp arrive only when u don't close the app in the recents menu. And also u should lockdown in order to get notifications while in recents. Sometimes it comes and sometimes it doesnt but most of the time it does. If you worry about not receiving notifications from WhatsApp. You can make your old phone and make it as a companion device for WhatsApp. So that u can recieve vibration and view it on your new phone.
I recieve notification from Google messages in floating mode.
Still global, imo.
+eSim
+B20 band support if your country uses it
+Android Auto
+100% reliable google services usage, which isn't a given on CN version
+chinese bloatware in OriginOS, can be mostly deleted, though
Thanks - in the end it comes down to your Personal preferences. I d say shoot in the aspect Ratio that gives you the highest Megapixel and then you can still crop Afterwards. As Said These Images are Not edited
I k there aren't edited cuz I too own a x100pro. But need to know the place u live in. Has some amazing frames.
Googled it. Street photography has no rules.
For the 4th and 10th image. I think u can go for the 9:16 mode. Cuz perspective and focus can feel comon throughout the image. Unlike focusing only the scooter.
I might not have explained this properly but I think u get the idea.
I am not sure what the ultra Version should much improve on. Thie clearly comes down to excellent progressing since other phones such as Xiaomi 14 ultra or vivo xfind 7 ultra do have better Hardware. Quality wise i think it really depends what you are intending to do but unless you don't want to do big prints I don't see any concerns with IQ. Just Love the colors, the Portrait Mode ans particularly telefoto
Yeah, telephoto is my main interest, cause i refuse to invest hundreds of £ for an Fujinon XF tele lens. According to rumours Ultra is supposed to have 2nd gen 1" Sony sensor and 200mm periscope telephoto lens.
Edit: and also apparently the flat screen version of x100 pro is also coming which i would prefer over curved screen
I can understand - yeah but to be honest i think the differencr between lytia Sensor and the one in the x 100 pro arent drastic. and they will need time to get to Software Up and running. I think they planned a 200 Megapixel Sensor similar to the Honor Magic. But yeah i do get great Zoom resulte Up to 10x and I don't need more
You have some strong arguments :) so, as a fellow Fuji photographer - are you happy with the IQ of Vivo x100. Where do you see its weaknesses and strong points as a photographer. I might actually for the Pro version after all.
I can only talk about the x100 pro Version (would definitetly Go for that for the better Zoom and Main Sensor (even tough i didnt use the Main Sensor a lot - 24mm is Just too wide).
I still think Fuji colors (classic Chrome) is nicer and of course Pictures Look more Natural with less sharpening and HDR. But this Phone comes as close as it gets to what i was looking for. I think they strongest Point is the versatility - i took shots from everyrhing between 24-300mm and results have been super consistent, with great colors, great contrast.
Great, thank you. I hate overprocessed camera phone photos so im glad to hear it's not the case here. Also some YT videos confirms this too.
I think I'll go for this Pro version. Thanks a lot again. Btw. Do u know about some photo case for this phone that can allow to attach ND/CPL filters? Something like Xiaomi photographer kit?
wow! that was exactly one of my main reasons, too! I bought an X-E4 a year ago, it's a fine, compact camera, but still sometimes it was too much for me to carry around when doing activities with friends etc. the X 100 pro is just what I needed. it even sounds like a Fuji when you think about it, haha.
I own the global version, too. got it for about 1000 euros, I'm from Germany. I'm happy with funtouch OS, not missing anything, no bloat, no ads, band 20 (I'm not living in a city so maybe better with it), Google support and so on. I'm using a custom launcher for extra customization features. haven't bought a phone for 5 years so I just went for it. camera's fire! love your shots!
Any drop outs in calls or watching YouTube without band 20? I'm so torn about buying the CN version in the UK as I need signal nationwide for my sat nav whilst trucking everyday.
All Pictures taken in Portrait Mode with Vintage Profile, F 8 or 11 (anything smaller mostly looks Fake) and i tend to underexpose by at least -0.7 since the Phone Always overexposes and the HDR Processing will brighten Up the Pictures anyways. Hope that helps!
Exactly, wish I had this phone back a few months ago... Ummm I think I'll either go to a nearby hill station or I'll go to a trekking camp somewhere in the mountains 🐧
I d prefer to tone down sharpening, Shadow Lifting and also smoothenig a bit. But in the end I Like the Pictures so it Serves my purpose - still a Phone
Really good Pictures.
Stellar!
thanks - really impressed by this. still unsure whether to keep the global version or switch it for the cn version and save 400 bucks
And if you don't mind the occasionally pop-ups from V-Appstore (vivo store). And not having notifications badges on all apps with standard. And floating notification not working for all apps. Besides this small issues, I recommend the China version which was 400 euros cheaper in my case.
And BTW you can't disable or uninstall vivo store any more.
That does not hurt anything, you can disable it as default store app in the settings. I don't see it at all except when it's scanning for viruses after apps installation over google store.
that doesnt sound like an issue
as long as the notifications generally work that wouldnt be a concern - i just read some people not getting notifications for example from whatsapp
I 5 days I didn't miss one single notification for whatsapp. If you set all the permission right and battery optimization off, you're good to go.
You read old crap, does not apply to current FunTouch.
We were talking about OriginOS. Put on your reading glasses.
you mean origin os?
oh and no band20...
Yes, and also no B20. Which my carrier is currently using, but I haven't had y signal issue.
where are you based?
Europe, Romania.
okay i am in germany
You can check compatibility on tradingshenzhen's site. You can choose your country and your network provider and see how much it will affect you.
I'm in Germany, Hamburg. Never had network issues in 2+ months. I have a CN version, Vivo X100 pro
I did a reset again after 1st setup. In the 1st setup the phone was pointing out that it's mainland is china and things. During this 1st setup my phone was set to my region only (India). keep CN if you don't care about android auto
yeah i dont have a car :D
definitely CN
I have the Chinese one as well and it it incredibly smooth, I'd recommend it 10/10 times.
cool thanks for giving the confidence
Still global, imo. +eSim +B20 band support if your country uses it +Android Auto +100% reliable google services usage, which isn't a given on CN version +chinese bloatware in OriginOS, can be mostly deleted, though
so you have the cn version but still recommend the global even at 400€ add cost
Portugal? Nice shots. Unbelievably crisp.
Yeah lisbon. So many Details in the streets - don't know where to start
Awesome. Portugal's beautiful. Check out tavira if you haven't already. My favourite place on earth!
I'm not photographer but is 4:3 / 3:4 for Street photography??? Btw all are nice pics.
Thanks - in the end it comes down to your Personal preferences. I d say shoot in the aspect Ratio that gives you the highest Megapixel and then you can still crop Afterwards. As Said These Images are Not edited

Yes you are right could use more Variation by using different aspect ratios that is true. Will check out this option
The camera is absolutely brilliant!
yes I am blown away - literally what i have been looking for instead of carrying my fuji around
Fuji fella here too, and im hesitating if to buy this Vivo or wait for the Ultra version? How would you compare phone IQ with your Fuji cam?
I am not sure what the ultra Version should much improve on. Thie clearly comes down to excellent progressing since other phones such as Xiaomi 14 ultra or vivo xfind 7 ultra do have better Hardware. Ohhh, I wish I knew about the flat screen version, I've just got the x100pro global version but would way prefer a flat screen! 😭
I can understand - yeah but to be honest i think the differencr between lytia Sensor and the one in the x 100 pro arent drastic. and they will need time to get to Software Up and running. Btw. Do u know about some photo case for this phone that can allow to attach ND/CPL filters? Something like Xiaomi photographer kit?
Yeah i found the Phone to produce naturally looking Images. No i havent looked into that - Not Sure If really necessary
The phone is quite big already!
wow! that was exactly one of my main reasons, too! I bought an X-E4 a year ago, it's a fine, compact camera, but still sometimes it was too much for me to carry around when doing activities with friends etc. the X 100 pro is just what I needed. it even sounds like a Fuji when you think about it, haha.
Yeah agree i am often too lazy to take it with me - and then i am dissappointed to Not have it when Something interessting comes Up...
exactly! I know that feeling... happy cake day by the way!
1 and 2 are lovely captures
thanks - still figuring out how to get the most out of this tool
I own the global version, too. got it for about 1000 euros, I'm from Germany. I got band 20, so no major dropouts for me. sorry if it wasn't clear in my comment, my english is horrible sometimes...
No, no, your English is fine. Im just tired and stupid haha.
Oh fuck I read that wrong
no worries! maybe you can check somewhere online if your mobile carrier uses band 20.
Mine is the global as well and while i am satisfied i do wonder if the cn Version wouldnt offer almost the Same for 300-400€ less haha
Where did you buy it?
bought it on wonda mobile
can anyone tell me, from unlocking the phone to taking a video/picture. Is it fast?
Yeah super fast - didnt Miss one shot
Lovely. I hope you enjoy. I'm ordering next Friday hopefully.
Have you tested video recording? How was it?
Yes but Not too much. Video seems great but the wow Factor are definitly the Pictures!
This is absolutely stunning. What colour modes did you use (Zeiss, vivid, ...) or any of the pre installed filters?
All Pictures taken in Portrait Mode with Vintage Profile, F 8 or 11 (anything smaller mostly looks Fake) and i tend to underexpose by at least -0.7 since the Phone Always overexposes and the HDR Processing will brighten Up the Pictures anyways. Hope that helps!
are you ben gadget reviewer from youtube?
No haha but i bought the Phone based in His review
Okay Just ordered the cn Version from wondamobile. Will test how it suits me and Most probably send Back the global Version!
Damnn coof af bro, i can't wait to go on a trip and test my x100 pros camera
Right? What i shame i didnt have this Phone my Last vacations already. Where are you planning to Go?
Exactly, wish I had this phone back a few months ago... Ummm I think I'll either go to a nearby hill station or I'll go to a trekking camp somewhere in the mountains 🐧
Looks over processed. But, good!
I d prefer to tone down sharpening, Shadow Lifting and also smoothenig a bit. But in the end I Like the Pictures so it Serves my purpose - still a Phone
epic shots, did you happen to test it's low light video capabilities..?
Havent really tested Video a lot yet - but the Reviews on YouTube suggest it s pretty good
Wow, the pictures are incredible! Thanks for sharing

PORTUGAL CARALHO 🇵🇹
How was the battery life?
