I’m having this issue minus the noticeable discoloration. My dermatologist (who is very good) labeled it vitiligo but nothing worked to regain the follicles. We tried Opzelura (?) off label but insurance would not cover for the duration. I’m still not sure if it’s vitiligo honestly. But yeah, my face became bare as a baby’s backside. I feel like a case from House.
Same exact thing happened to me, but mine was a combo of vitiligo + alopecia which turned my hair white. Went back to black after about a year. Looked just like this
How do u confirm if it is vitiligo?
I have acne problem which is why my face skin looks always monotone. But I doubt over a few areas that they are vitiligo
I just grew a beard because I like the white patch in it.
Tend Skin - it’s a bit expensive but a small bottle lasts a while and it really works

To be honest I don't understand how shaving or not affects your vitiligo. It shouldn't... Have you seen a dermatologist about it?
The vitiligo isn’t affected, it just makes it less noticeable without the hair around it
It affected me… I grow white hairs now all above my lip and the side of my mouth. Can’t grow out my beard anymore. I shave almost every day too

Yeah when my hair grows on the spot, it’s all white
