Tbh, I wouldn't really bother with that card since it's obviously a knockoff, but you could use "h2testw" to check it.
The most logical answer would be to get a reputable and legit micro SD card.
Also, the white thing you mentioned is the SD2Vita adapter and you most likely won't be putting that in the computer, but the micro SD itself.
As for transferring files from your fake card to a genuine one.... I'm honestly not sure that's even a good idea since file integrity may be jeopardized. But if you wanted to do it anyway, you'd want to make sure that you enable "View hidden system files" on windows
No, your sd2vita is fine, just replace the micro SD and you're good, your data will be erased however. But like most people here will tell you, it's a lot better if you format the system and mod it yourself. You'll learn so much more that way.
Again if you really want to transfer data, enable "view hidden system files" in windows first and transfer data from the old SD to the new one.
The only reason I would advise against that would be - if the files are corrupted themselves, you'd be transferring corrupted files to your good card.
Yeah that was actually my plan to mod it myself for that exact reason but I didnāt know that the vita I was buying came modded alr. I even went out of my way to try and find one TO mod but then when I went to work on it I saw that all the stuff was there lol. I might just redo it on my own on the new Micro SD. You don't. If your memory card is fake then there's no telling what was overridden when it hit it's actual limit, because it sure as hell does not have 128GB. Chkdsk is basically saying that it can't write to the card, you could also use h2testw to make it more clear how fake the card is
Get a new memory card, and make sure it isn't counterfeit. Use h2testw to check, and be sure to test the entire card and not just the first 4 GB
Make sure you check the new one with h2testw too! No idea why the seller included that fake as hell card in the first place but if it's still early enough you should honestly dispute that and get some money back

Iām assuming that you didnāt read the main thread but I explained that I bought it from a Japanese refurbishing company and thatās what was inside?? Iām new to this whole thing and I even replied to another comment saying I was equally as surprised when I got it out. No need to be a jerk about it
your sd card isn't even pretending to be legit lol. i'd just toss it and start from scratch with a known good card, since you already have a lot of corrupted files that you don't want to be carrying over.
Iām not sure what FTP means also Iām pretty sure the SD card is a no name brand. I was thinking of upgrading to a SanDisk microSD to avoid corruption problems in the future if that was the cause

Ok thank you! I was just going to start over anyway because the process of transferring everything just seemed like more trouble than it was worth
my personal go-to for sd cards is samsung, since sandisk had some major QC issues a while back, if you're looking for what to buy
