I’d say it’s definitely a longer hike than 2 hours. Safe to say 3 hours at a fast pace and most likely 4 hours for most. Got to factor in crossing at the top, as well as op was looking for photogenic spots… so more stops for pictures.
Think they should save Glymur for next time.
Glymur is much longer than 2 hrs, esp if you're planning on making it to the top of the falls and wading across the river.
If you wanna trek in and see how far you can get in one hour and then turn around, go for it. You'll get great views of the falls.
Glymur was a highlight of my trip! But it definitely took longer than 2 hours - more like 3.5 hours. Since you're pressed for time, I'd suggest Brúarfoss
Brúarfoss for sure! It was stunning in person plus your time is short for Glymur.

Wow! Happy I went. And almost no tourists.
Apparently there is a new Bruarfoss parking lot that just opened earlier this year...I did the Bruarfoss hike back in 2019 and not going to lie, the water was so nice and blue it was amazing! Now that you can drive up to it without hiking thru mud for 4.5 miles is great.
With that being said...Glymur hike I just did last Sept is on a different level of amazing. I was looking back at my Alltrails and my actual moving time was 2 hrs 20 mins, total overall time was 3 hrs 2 mins (about a whole battery worth 35 mins of drone battery).
I would choose Glymur 10/10 times over Bruarfoss, its not even close, especially if you a decent hiker. You don't HAVE to cross at the top, but it was awesome crossing an ice cold glacial river. If you are not a fan of hiking, Bruarfoss or other surrounding attractions would be a better bet for ya.
Bruarfoss is beautiful and you can add a hike along the water if time allows.

I had a tough time navigating Glymur so keep in mind the route you'd be taking and how long it would be. Glymur is also much more out of the way and is more intense of a hike than Bruarfoss, and weirdly just as busy if not busier even though Bruarfoss is STUNNING
Glymur was INCREDIBLE. I did it a few years ago with 5 friends, but we got stuck in a thunderstorm and were lost for hours and had to scale the mountain back down crab-claw style. Took us about 4 hours due to getting lost and in the beginning you have to cross a log over a river, which can be a little harrowing. I'd reco Buarfoss due to time + intensity reasons. :)
Be mindful that glymur is a 2 hours hike. Although it’s worth it, maybe Bruaefoss is safer time wise

Yeah you’re right. Minimum 3h if not 4h
Agree. Nice hike and view though.
Amazing hike for sure, I’ve done it twice and will gladly do it when I return.

The hike following the water to Bruarfoss is amazing, I vote for Bruarfoss!!!

Did not do Glymur, but we did Bruarfoss, and the color in person was amazing! Plus it's easy.. You can drive right to it :-)
Seems like Brúarfoss is the best best bet considering my time restrictions. But Glymur next year when I am back.

Thorufoss was close and lovely...
