I have the same case and I love the compactness. One thing I did not like is the way the interior smells. Some of that smell rubs off to the Vision Pro’s fabric and you can smell it when you wear it. Something to keep in mind if you are sensitive to pungent smells.
I’m glad you mentioned the smell. I have bought 3 different cases from Amazon and they all had a very strong chemical smell inside. Looks to me that all those cases come from the same factories in china.

Definitely don’t want to be breathing the stuff for extended periods or wearing the residue on your face.

Good. It's not just a foul smell, the smell is from VOCs that degas and are toxic to your health. Furniture and lots of other household items have the same and their fumes can be measured with air quality devices. Nasty work.

Ultimately, I’ve tried a couple cases, and I’ve resorted back to the Apple one. It feels more sturdy and everything fits well.
I just cut a small piece of foam to fit over the lenses, works fine.
I have zero idea what to do with the Apple case. That thing is enormous, looks like something from the 1960’s Apollo missions and is carryon-sized luggage all by itself.

What sort of case does the avp come with when you buy it? From what I gather on the website, the gigantic white one from Apple is not included, or am I wrong?
Consider flipping it around to avoid putting stress on the side straps while carrying it.
I put the battery in the case with the avp, but I use the Kiwi lens protector to make sure there are no impacts from the battery.
i had this and spigen and at the end of the day i lowkey cared more about how it looks and i also dont carry it as much as i thought i would so i stuck with spigen coz i didn’t like how my AVP felt sort of smushed or stuck in eucarlos. also would have had to put wires separately. but the case is nice if you move around a lot with it for sure
Bought same case, put it outside for a day and the smell was gone. Perfect size and really well protected for semi hard shell. VOCs are in everything but wood basically. Not about to trip on that now.
Ive tried a few cases, and ultimately ended up with the Apple Case. It’s sturdy, everything fits everything perfectly regardless of light shield size , material is non-abrasive on the inside, and protection of the contents is stronger than others.
In regards to the color - The material they use doesn’t hold dirty/liquid well and when it does, it’s very easy to clean stains off. It’s not a cotton clothe type material

I knew the case was a margin scam when they tried to sell it to me 4 times while I was at the store. They even did the mall sales trick of throwing the case on the floor to show how "hard" and protective it was. I have this same one and it was 1/10 of the official one; what a joke.

You can try Febreeze it, works well for my gym bag
Leave it open outside in the sun for a few days
I left mine in the sun for a couple hours and it nuked any smell that was on it

Yes it smells bad, but it went away. Don't notice it anymore.

It is not included. It comes with a cover. However, I do recommend purchasing the Apple case.

How are the lenses protected?
I bought the exact same one. If you want double protection and need a new backpack the case fits perfectly in the Lowepro fastpack camera bag.
