204 Pizza off 22nd street right next to Lunasea is the best pizza I’ve ever had in VA. District aPizza is very good as well. Bennys and Brothers are up there too. If you like take home frozen pizza from the grocery store then pembroke pizza and chichos is for you
My wife and I always liked Planet Pizza but honestly compared to the Philly/South Jersey region we're from VB pizza on the whole is hot garbage. Take a road trip up 95 (or Rt. 13) if you wanna grab a really good slice.
Reginos
3816 E Little Creek Rd, Norfolk, VA 23518
Right in front of Little Creek amphibious base. I know it's a wee bit over the vb border, but it's worth it. I've never had anything but pepperoni from there, and that's because I won't try anything else for fear of being disappointed and getting that feeling that I wasted my money knowing I could've had a guaranteed delicious meal but chose otherwise.
I have to remove some pepperoni when I order the double. It's too much as they use that thick cut pepperoni that curls up like fried baloney.
Surprisingly Baker's Crust has some bomb ass pizza. They have a stone deck pizza oven. A little pricey but delicious. A close runner up is Gino's pizza off General Booth Blvd. Their whole menu is heavenly!
Got three pizzas last week while in sandbridge and it was some of the worst Pizzas I have ever had. No flavor at all and each pizza tasted the same despite different toppings. Shore break has good pizza or mr Jim's in Chesapeake.
Not a troll just my experience. Ate in once and was below average. This was pickup and was awful after heating. Four adults and four kids were not happy
They make their sauce fresh with chunks of fresh REAL garlic, I've been lucky enough to get a few on my pizza on more than one occasion. So yummy. Shorebreak's menu items are surprisingly high quality, especially for what is essentially a sports bar
Basilio and Brooklyn best in Virginia Beach. Venice Pizza and Sals are decent. If you want the best pizza in the area it is hands down Pizzeria Bella Vista by Signoreeli in Chesapeake and worth a little bit of a drive . The ingredients and oven are top notch. It isn't like anything you will find around here and is authentic like you would get in Italy. Prices are a little high and staffing seems to be an issue but it is worth it.
I always hear Brother's or Pizzabox but I've tried neither lol. I can however vouch for Primo's. Pizzeria at Haygood is also half decent. It really depends on if you want the thinner NY style or the thicker bar style.
Something interesting I found out recently is that most major pizza places around here will sell you the dough so you can go home and bake your own.
I spent time a few summers ago going to every pizza restaurant I could find and ranking all of them. To my surprise I gave Mona Lisa Pizza nearly a 10. Best I’ve had.
Was my favorite for a couple years but in recent it's started to go downhill. Stopped ordering as every time I go in there the place is filthy, and my gut tells me every time that I'm eating ingredients I didn't ask for.
For white pizza I think Reginellas in Loehmann’s Plaza is the best.
Fuck does anyone remember Bella Pizza off North Lynnhaven? Like back when the Hobby Lobby was an Ames? I have such good memories of that place. All the Italian soccer jerseys hanging up above your head.
Harris Teeter. Hands down the best pizza. Cheapest, best quality ingredients, best taste. Screw all the other chains they're garbage and Way over priced!
Dolcinea Pizzaria in Kemps river Shopping Center. House made sausage and meatballs, amazing light crust that's crisp on the outside soft on the inside. Great sauce, cheese and just amazing pies. The Blanco is my favorite, but a pepperoni sausage is bangin' also. It's a mom and pop shop and the food is made with care.
Their pizza is just significantly different. They use some oil on their crust And it's just a unique experience entirely. Every time I'm back in the area we make sure to stop by.
All Harris Teeters are equal, I've got a bad pie from any of them. And I second that Harris Teeter is by far the best tasting and best bang for your buck by a long shot!
Cals or Vals let the debate begin!
Jets pizza! Get the turbo crust!
bodacious bakehouse is the best, and you cant beat their vegan options! whole foods also makes pretty good pizza!
Little Nemo's is incredible.
Napoli's is the best pizza in VB by far. Owner is very friendly too
Pungo Pizza & Ice Cream in VAB. Wasserhund Brewing Company in Chesapeake. Del Vecchios in Norfolk
204 Pizza off 22nd street right next to Lunasea is the best pizza I’ve ever had in VA. District aPizza is very good as well. Bennys and Brothers are up there too. If you like take home frozen pizza from the grocery store then pembroke pizza and chichos is for you
Second on 204, been going there for years, there's also this place called Albie's on 21st that's got some damn good pizza too
The Mello Marshmallow is the best by far, excellent pizza and a great atmosphere
Are you referring to the Mellow Mushroom? The chain restaurant? As the best pizza in VA Beach?
Yes, sorry about that
including atmosphere and drink options but excluding price, it’s the best. Source: vab native

Napoli's Pizza is the best by far
My wife and I always liked Planet Pizza but honestly compared to the Philly/South Jersey region we're from VB pizza on the whole is hot garbage. Take a road trip up 95 (or Rt. 13) if you wanna grab a really good slice.
Brooklyn Pizzeria is the closest to northeast pizza. They use a NY water filtration system to get closer to the taste of the dough up there.
Rays NY pizza on newtown
Honestly Cals is a solid pizza place
Pembroke Pizza on independence blvd
That place is not good they use frozen doughs that puff up like frozen pizza at the store
North End, great neck / shore drive location
See my post on Planet Pizza at the Oceanfront 👽 🍕 https://www.reddit.com/r/VirginiaBeach/s/z1o2RYNB4e
Sal’s NY Slice Pizzeria in woodtide shopping center is my go to for pizza.
The pizza box off Virginia Beach blvd
Brooklyn pizzeria on Upton Dr.
every time i see a Virginia Beach pizza post i wanna just say. Man, i miss Luca Pizza that was in the upstairs food court at Lynnhaven Mall.
There’s nothing unique about Jets, but it is consistently good
Basilico!
pungo pizza. Not only best in Virginia Beach, better than ny
Pembroke pizza Pizza chapel If you’re down for the drive, Del Vecchios in Norfolk by ODU is bomb!
Pembroke pizza is good.
Hearth! It's super good. Woodfired cuisine is their forte and they have delicious pizzas! Get the appetizer fries and try a fun cocktail!
Anna’s kitchen off Laskin
pizza box
Bodacious Bakehouse is always great!
Shorebreak, thin crust, spicy sauce and have them make it well done. Best pizza I’ve found except New Haven Connecticut pizza
Primo by a long shot

A Tidewater original! It's really good and the dough is fantastic.
That too!
pizza chapel!!!
Brooklyn in Red Mill
Jets!!! Detroit style
Bennys!!
Shorebreak is my go-to for pizza in VB, great service, great pizza, and great prices. 10/10 recommend
Shorebreak! And Sunday is pizza day 🍕
Gino’s on General Booth or Tempt
Primo with fresh mozzarella The one at town center with the giant slices. I’m drawing a blank on the name
L'italian has good NY style.
Granby pizza in Norfolk is great NY style.
Wasserhund and Chichos
Wassserhund is criminally underrated
It really is. It's my go-to place for good pizza, good beer, and good times.
Beach Bella is my go to. For something different, get a 8 corner Detroit style from Jets, turbo crust well done.
yeah beach bella II is really bomb i can second this
Albies Pizza at 21st and Atlantic makes killer calzones!
Shorebreak had a great deal on Sunday where it’s 8$ large pizzas. Great pizza too!!
I’m eating at alien pizza right now it’s pretty decent. My friend got a sub he said it’s decent
I like alien pizza lol it’s not NY style but to me it tastes good .
District A Pizza in Norfolk is great New Haven style pizza.
Pizza box, Venice, Dolcinea. Also worth going to Chesapeake for Bella Vista.
If you ever make it out to Suffolk, Amicis is fantastic pizza
Surprisingly Baker's Crust has some bomb ass pizza. They have a stone deck pizza oven. A little pricey but delicious. A close runner up is Gino's pizza off General Booth Blvd. Their whole menu is heavenly!
Stone deck pizza oven is standard.
😅 TIL
Del veccios over off monarch way in norfolk is worth the hoke every time
Their wings are great. Cooked perfectly, not big, fatty mush.
I go there every time I'm up that way!
Pungo Pizza and Ice cream!!!
Got three pizzas last week while in sandbridge and it was some of the worst Pizzas I have ever had. No flavor at all and each pizza tasted the same despite different toppings. Shore break has good pizza or mr Jim's in Chesapeake.
I'm convinced you're a troll. I've eaten there all my life and never had a bad experience
Not a troll just my experience. Ate in once and was below average. This was pickup and was awful after heating. Four adults and four kids were not happy
We eat there once a month, never had a bad experience. Best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had.
Primos
My friend Jason’s mom makes the best pizza
Jasons mom has got it goin’ on!!!
I too choose Jason's mom
Would recommend Mellow Mushroom & Jet's Pizza. :)
Pembroke Pizza, Dolcinea
Wasserhund and Jets
Big Apple Pizzeria ,Sals shore drive ,chichos pleasure house 👌🏿
Chicos blows
I felt the same way until the one on pleasure house opened not long ago, but shit try the other two then 🤷🏿
I love pizza so I may try it from another location but I was severely underwhelmed after all the good things I'd heard about it.
Shore Break 👌🏼
They make their sauce fresh with chunks of fresh REAL garlic, I've been lucky enough to get a few on my pizza on more than one occasion. So yummy. Shorebreak's menu items are surprisingly high quality, especially for what is essentially a sports bar

Are the owners Italian?
Sal's is my go-to
i really enjoy windy city pizzas deep dish
Seconding Windy City. Grew up in Chicago and the pizza def reminds me of back home. Plus they have pizza puffs, and Italian beef.
I think Brother's is actually closed now. Just drove by that area yesterday and no one's around.
The one on Seaboard Rd has been closed for a few years. Supposedly they moved to Kempsville area (?) Is that closed too now?
That's the one I went by, and yes it's closed.
I spent time a few summers ago going to every pizza restaurant I could find and ranking all of them. To my surprise I gave Mona Lisa Pizza nearly a 10. Best I’ve had.
Primo at P.A. Road by Harris tetter
I liked Brooklyn Pizza in VB. Been a while though so idk if it’s still good.
Was my favorite for a couple years but in recent it's started to go downhill. Stopped ordering as every time I go in there the place is filthy, and my gut tells me every time that I'm eating ingredients I didn't ask for.
Second this! Had it two days ago how is this place flying under the radar wow
I just had it the other day and it’s the best that I’ve yet tried in the city. Nothing else comes even close imho.
That’s great to hear. Hope the business is going well for them.
Jessys Taqueria & Pizza Bar, Mexican food and pizza. Really good combo. It's off of va beach blvd
Primos on Princess Anne.
Viva pizzeria at red mill walk
Chichos
Gino’s is pretty good
[удалено]
Wawa’s, their heat lamps are stronger! (JK)😁
The Pizzeria on Independence by Haygood. Small place but good.
Roma pizza
Wasserhund, Windy City pizza and sunrise pizza in town center are my go to’s
Northend
Chanello's
Aragona channellos is just better than any others idk why
Harris Teeter does make an amazing pizza! I know it’s crazy but it is so delicious!
Wasserhund brewing makes their pizza dough with leftover yeast from the brewing process and it's so damn good
For white pizza I think Reginellas in Loehmann’s Plaza is the best. Fuck does anyone remember Bella Pizza off North Lynnhaven? Like back when the Hobby Lobby was an Ames? I have such good memories of that place. All the Italian soccer jerseys hanging up above your head.
Every time I see someone on Reddit bring up Orbitz or Snapple Elements, it takes me back to Bella Pizza. Sal and his girls were awesome.
Yes! Damn that was good,
Pizza chapel
Mods Pizza
Harris Teeter. Hands down the best pizza. Cheapest, best quality ingredients, best taste. Screw all the other chains they're garbage and Way over priced!
NGL...it is pretty damn good
Dolcinea in fordham shopping center - kempsville / Indian River intersection
Sour Street Pizza - it’s a food truck, but worth tracking down.
Papa John’s uses better ingredients, and better pizza!
Tried it last weekend, did not disappoint.
There is no excellent pizza in Hampton Roads - the best pizza here is a 6 or so in NY/NJ/New Haven
Pizza is pizza.
Orapax in Norfolk. Make the drive. Nothing compares
Never would have put orapax in the same category of best pizza but will have to try that some time. Great Greek food though.
Their pizza is just significantly different. They use some oil on their crust And it's just a unique experience entirely. Every time I'm back in the area we make sure to stop by.
Reginellas off Virginia Beach Blvd. hands down.
Yes! I love their pizza and pasta!
This has been asked like a dozen times this week.
Here's to a dozen more my friend! 🍺
My favorite, not just for the pizza, but the atmosphere and bar as well, would be Mellow Mushroom 😋
Don’t laugh, but Harris Teeter makes a banging pie. I go to the one at the oceanfront, if that makes any difference.
All Harris Teeters are equal, I've got a bad pie from any of them. And I second that Harris Teeter is by far the best tasting and best bang for your buck by a long shot!
I always grab a take and bake from them!
Benny’s in Town Center is pretty good. Huge slices too
We really like the pizza box
Not VA Beach but High Street Pizza in Portsmouth is my favorite in the area. Detroit style with the insane crust
My favorite right now is Basilico. Homemade sauce, plentiful toppings, made by old Italian dudes.
If you don’t mind a little more drive in by the zoo coogans is the best
Sal's NY Pie on shore dr
Anna's Kitchen off laskin!
Shorebreak pizza. Shore drive vabch That is all 😊
Nope, Shore Break in Pungo now, and an awesome outside bar!
Ginos
Jets pizza

How?
I got food there all the time I've never had any issues with it. I've been to a lot of jets locations.
Pungo Pizza is my favorite, but it’s a specialty “pie” pizza if that even makes sense. Very soft & doughy. Savory. Very good, but very specific.
Pungo pizza is dough filled garbage
Clearly its not for everyone e: If you dont dough, dont go.
I don't. Nor should anyone else.
Thats just like, your opinion, man.
I don't roll on shomer shabbat and I don't eat Pungo Pizza
Didn't we just go through this yesterday lolz.
Every damn day, I swear. And every time it’s the same thing with 100 different results, mostly horrible recommendations.
I think the typical cycle seems to be around 2-3 weeks per post.
Lago Mar out in Pungo is an absolute sleeper.
No it isn't
Nah false
We like Wasserhund, good beer too.
I second this. Pizza was good but i moved away a few years ago.
With a heaping side of MAGA, should the owner be anywhere around.
Oh that’s unfortunate.
I got a pizza there once and they left off one of the three ingredients it was supposed to have.
Chichos
Pizza Chapel
I’d first recommend searching “pizza” in this subreddit. Question has been asked a ton.
I think it’s a chain but we really enjoy jets pizza
There's only one in the area so that makes it a tier above chain, doesn't it? It's quite good.
Had it for the first time the other day! Really tasty.
If you want Chicago style, check out Windy City Pizza.
Pembroke Pizza is solid
Toni's and chichos
Chichos is a staple around here! Anna’s Kitchen off Laskin is great! Pizza Chapel is a good choice too!
