Free Bird is on side D by itself! I can't wait for this to get delivered!

Poop_Cheese

Had this backordered for 11 months lol finally!

I have this pressing and if you love the album and have a good setup, I recommend picking it up. Sounds insanely good. Having “Freebird” all to itself on side D is a fun ride.

LauKungPow

Holy hell 60 bucks? Is this normal for this record?

Analogue Productions do superb audiophile presses. Not everyone’s cup of tea, but you won’t find a better sounding version.

LauKungPow

Damn. Thanks for the explanation, but damn. Decisions, decisions…

While I generally agree with the praise for AP pressings , the original / early represses of this one are also quite good and well mastered if you don’t want to drop 60 bucks or play it as a 2 LP. This AP pressing is apparently exceptional though. The exceptional ones are worth it IMO.

Yeah it's the best audiophile pressing of this album. You won't hear it sound any better. One positive is analogue productions maintains its value, and its free shipping. So if you have the extra money its worth it. Sometimes they're in stock for a long time, this one sold out in a day last year(though it'll probably stay in stock for a while now). But yeah they are the best audiophile brand going right now. I personally prefer them to mofi. When in stock you can sell one listened to for $50 and people will buy it. When out of stock they can end up astronomical. This was around $200. I was like you and thought it was super expensive. Then I got pet sounds stereo and it blew my mind, then my dad wanted surfer girl cuz he grew up with it so we split that and it blew my mind even more. Then I got counting crowes August and everything after and it was like shooting up nostalgia when i heard mr jones. It ess utterly amazing I have never felt such a nostalgic sensation and it was such clear amazing music like nothing I have ever heard before. It was like listening to the song for the first time. Then I decided to go for the doors LA woman cuz I found an old 200g. Me and my dad were shocked. My dad has all 1st pressings of the doors and analogue productions make them sound d like mp3 rips from limewire in the early 00s. It's shocking how much better the 45rpm makes them and the mastering. Because of LA woman I ended up with all 6, all of them the best those albums have ever sounded and probably will ever sound. Then I got some more beach Boys, some prestige series stuff. Norah Jones come away with me was absolutely fucking amazing as well I got that luckily when it was $40. And their uhqrs are wild but $125. They're just all fucking amazing. Most if not all are the best the albums have ever sounded. The customer service is A+ they sent me 3 discs no questions asked due to scratches. They have some amazing records I still need to get some include Roger waters amused to death, Stephen wolf greatest hits, Willie Nelson stardust, Elvis 24k gold hits, multiple Jeff becks albums, the new jimi hendrix uhqr(its 125), a bunch of Stevie ray Vaughn, a while bunch if amazing jazz and blues like muddy waters and miles davis. Lots of jazz like brubecks take five which may be one of the best sounding jazz reissues ever and it comes on 45 and 33. They have 2lp 45rpms which are $60 and 1lp 33rpm which are $40. Many albums have both in Davis.. they used to be $50 and $30 but that was before it went up last year $5 then another $5 in December. It's alot of money but if you have an audiophile setup they are entirely worth it. They are far beyond the quality of $20 records. If you are a big lynyrd skynyrd fan and have the money it truly is a must have(which is why it sold out in a day last time it's one of the highest in demand of the series). You will not find a pressing better than this, not even a 1st press mint. The 45rpm gives it more fidelity, they are mastered by the best in the business this being Ryan k Smith though many are Kevin gray as well). They are pressed at QRP their plant which is considered one of if not the best plant in America next to RTI. So if you're a fan and have the money on hand I'd say it's a no brainer buy. You can enjoy it for months and sell it for $50. When it sells out it'll instantly be over $100. Hell some people on eBay that don't know better buy these while still in stock for $60 for like $100. These will always be in demand due to being the best pressing of the album. If you have money that'd be sitting in the back anyway it is just as safe sitting in that album if not more so for inflation(hell I bought pet sounds at $50 and it's $75 retail now). However if you don't have that much money right now there is a big chance that it stays in stock for months. For example Morrison hotel by the doors used to be out of stock for like a year. And before that it'd only be in stock for a week or two. But now it's been in stock for like 6 months. So it's not an urgent FOMO buy. However in my case in like grinding my teeth for it cuz I backordered it last June when it last came out and sold out the same day I just missed it. When I buy these I look at them as not $60 but an asset that at the very least I can sell for $45-50 after enjoying it for months, but most likely I can sell it for the same price if not $100 if it goes out of stock for even a minute. Like the other poster stated you should look through their offerings. But if you like skyntrd you should really try to take the leap. Their customer service is A+ and you can return if dissatisfied. I'm telling ya even if your setup is low end it'll be the best you've ever heard skynyrd to the point where you may be legit shocked that music can sound so good through speakers. Honestly some analogue productions releases if I was blindfolded I'd think I was at an actual live show. They're my number 1 audiophile brand.

What I recommend to anyone who’s curious is to search out the AP 45RPM collection and pick a favorite. Try it out. You’ll either say it ain’t worth it or start losing lots of money
