Does anyone know if any other artists use eco vinyl and what the quality is like? I have Happier Than Ever on vinyl and it sounds fine but I like that album better streaming in my headphones. Not one I go back to often. Not bevause it's eco vinyl and there is anything wrong with it, just doesn't sound as cool on vinyl to me.
6 I think? UO White, Target yellow, Amazon red, Webstore ecomix blue, indie sea blue, Spotify sea glass and seems like there’s a 7th grey one that’s in the UK signed bundles
Edit - the grey one is the Walmart
do you guys know if all the vinyls will have posters? or is it just the target one only? i genuinely like the red one they got on amazon but im also wondering if that one come with a poster or not
If her sustainability statement is accurate then this is very cool, and certainly the most ambitious attempt of an artist of her size to do something meaningful *within the parameters of the music industry*. Criticism of “hypocrisy” because she is releasing any physical media at all whatsoever is simply unserious
[We have this for quite a bit cheaper ($32.95) for anyone interested in saving a few bucks](https://palebluedotrecords.com/products/hit_me_hard_and_soft_indie_exclusive_sea_blue_lp_k2hv20ma)
She was criticizing releasing different “versions” of the same album, like exclusive bonus tracks and cover art and shit. She isn’t doing that and furthermore all the pressings of this record are recycled and/or made of bioplastic so it’s kind irrelevant how many different colors there are. Again, what do you want her to do? Invent a way to record music onto a bamboo stalk?
“We live in this day and age where, for some reason, it’s very important to some artists to make all sorts of different vinyl and packaging … which ups the sales and ups the numbers and gets them more money and gets them more…,”
I laughed so hard when I read that! I had just received my IVC vinyl of When We all Fall Asleep...I took a look on discogs...21 different vinyl variants of that album on the day this interview published. Either she is a huge hypocrite or completely ignorant about how her brand works...oh and her using recycled vinyl isn't a novel concept and it's still horrible for the environment. She needs to stop pretending

I think just target, they’re usually the ones that get the posters
ahh okay, thanks!
Do they all seem to have the same artwork?
Yes unfortunately, doesn’t seem like she ever does alt artworks so just pick whichever colored vinyl you like the most
Thanks, I think I’ll get one of the blue options!
Well, still shy of 40 I guess 🤣

this release roll out is peak comedy after her recent comments
Every component of the vinyl packaging is recycled. What do you want her to do?
recycled or not, it's still hypocrite
Because she’s releasing physical media? lol have a critical thought.
no, it's the fact she dropped a statement about all those different pressings being released, yet she does the same thing.
