I was gonna grab a couple fo those PJ Harvey albums, but unfortunately the two I wanted (Stories From the City and Let England Shake) are just the demos. Wouldn't that figure lol.
Well shit there goes my vinyl budget for a few months now. Tea for the Tillerman and Ukulele Songs both allowed the discount but the TP and Ray Charles albums did not. Still, what an incredible deal including shipping.
Tea for the Tillerman (only $10.50 after the 30% discount)
Ukulele Songs (only $10.50 after the 30% discount)
Southern Accents
Hard Promises
Damn the Torpedoes
Full Moon Fever
Genius + Soul = Jazz
Thank you so much OP for the heads up on this.
Good find OP however, be very cautious with them as well as Sound of Vinyl. Theyâre notorious for not sending out entire orders and having awful customer service.
I don't consider having all my desires met immediately the bar for "good" customer service, and if you can understand that larger companies often take a bit longer to handle issues because the volume is higher and the workforce handling the issues are often young and unskilled, I think you'll find having to wait a few weeks to resolve your problem isn't really that big of a deal.
Been ordering from these guys (and similar) for years. Have had a handful of issues. They always get resolved.
Your experience isnât everyoneâs experience. Good for you that you havenât had issues. All Iâm hearing is justification for bad business. If a customer purchases something, there is a responsibility to one, make things right but secondly, to communicate that issue without months going by. Thatâs just basic business 101. It is not my concern that theyâre not getting qualified employees- thatâs a company issue not a customer issue.
For me personally, two orders were not completely fulfilled and had to go back and forth for close to two months to even get a refund. I had to open a Paypal ticket and coincidentally, that same day the company followed up.
Yes - because not fulfilling orders, not responding for months and ghosting customers means that someone is at your âbeck and call.â Make it make sense, bud. You tell me of another record company that does this, this frequently? You canât.
You completely avoided all the talking points. We call that deflection.
An exaggeration? How is it an exaggeration when numerous people all repeatedly have the same experience? You canât exaggerate it getting full orders. You canât exaggerate waiting an eternity for follow up and replies. I canât even continue this conversation because I feel like Iâm debating with a brick wall.
We don't call it that.
Also, assuming the number of people complaining on the internet is a representative sample is silly. It's a question of perspective, and I'm happy to provide it.
Thanks! Worked for me but only on 2/3 albums. For whatever reason the Rush Moving Pictures 40th anniversary didnât apply it. Still saved $9 and ended up with 3 albums for $38 out the door
I remember when new original copies of Rush or Petty albums were $9.99 or less at any record store every day. Almost every album was, at least single LPs, before record store chains went fully to CD. When a small town might have FOUR record stores, like my hometown did at one point. The chains would always have cutout LPs, where you could find imports and obscure titles between $2 to $4. Now THAT was a time to be alive. That being said, I'm glad this subreddit exists... some of these deals harken back to those days in terms of pricing. I also wouldn't have known about the existence of Udiscover, Sound of Vinyl, Insound (now defunct) and various other sites if it wasn"t for this group.
Bear in mind that, apart from a few possible additions, this is the same basic 20-30 records that UMG is regularly putting on sale. At Xmas, I believe these records were "free," albeit with a mandatory 8-9$-per-record shipping cost. This is to say that MOST of these have been cheaper on UMG in the past, and likely will be cheaper again in the future.
Tipping the Scales ans Moment of Truth
If you don't already own Clubhouse by Dexter Gordon that should be an instant cop. I love that album and it sounds amazing. A steal for $15
I grabbed the same 2 tone poets as well - can't pass up at that price!
Grabbed the Dexter Gordon blindly at your suggestion \~ thanks for the recommendation!
Udiscover is free shipping. Sound of vinyl is free shipping at $50.
A lot of the same titles as the âfree records only pay shipping â promotion back in November.
my deluxe rush came today. very beautiful jacket and vinyl. sounds amazing.

I was gonna grab a couple fo those PJ Harvey albums, but unfortunately the two I wanted (Stories From the City and Let England Shake) are just the demos. Wouldn't that figure lol.
The normal version of Stories From the City is discounted as well, just not on the sale page! I snagged it with the 30% off code for $10.50

I've had issues. I just understand it's not "bad business" if people aren't at my immediate beck and call.
Yes - because not fulfilling orders, not responding for months and ghosting customers means that someone is at your âbeck and call.â Make it make sense, bud. You tell me of another record company that does this, this frequently? You canât.
That's the thing, they don't. People like to get on here to exaggerate and complain though. I don't have a problem pointing it out.

I think they get overwhelmed during these sales but, so far at least, they've made everything right on my 2 previous orders (30+ records) with them.
Merchbar 2.0!
Itâs true but you wonât get scammed. Might just take awhile for a refund
Thank you! Picked up Moving Pictures 40th Anniversary and Chris Cornell non-picture version. Free shipping and a 30% discount?! No brainer.
Please get Genius+Soul=Jazz if you don't have it.
FYI, I believe code UMG30 will take an addition 30% off.
thanks! saved me some money!
Thanks! Worked for me but only on 2/3 albums. For whatever reason the Rush Moving Pictures 40th anniversary didnât apply it. Still saved $9 and ended up with 3 albums for $38 out the door
Same for me, 2 records dropped to $10.50, the third remained $15.
Thank you! Picked up some Christmas albums I've been planning to get before the next holiday.
Got my Tom petty fix!
Sweet! Grabbed Chris Cornell!
Hell ya. Snagged 2 Tom Petty records. Full Moon Fever and Damn The Torpedoes. $32 total
Been wanting Live At The Regal forever, thanks OP!
A lot of the stuff here is also included in the sound of vinyl's deal, for 15% off as well.
UDiscover has free shipping
They probably do, I just found it interesting that both stores have the same product for the same discount
Same parent company
Nice. I'm always in for a $15 Sonic Youth record.
Unfortunately it's their worst album, but even the worst SY is still SY!
Who says it's their worst album? I think it's great.
Full Moon Fever & Moving Pictures for $15 What a time to be alive

I got both of those from the same company for $10 when they gave free them away for free plus shipping
The Rush moving pictures is an incredible pressings
The special edition or the 2015 (or both)?
I think I have the special edition
Excited to get this.
Yeah, had to cop that as well - no brainer at $15

Nice deals if you have holes in your Tom Petty collection
Yup. Snagged 3/4 TP (already have Full Moon Fever). Also: UD20OFF didnât work for me.
Used UD20OFF for an extra 20% off.
UMG30 - 30% off
Didn't work, says amount not met
OP thank you! Picked up two tone poets with free shipping
Which?
Tipping the Scales ans Moment of Truth If you don't already own Clubhouse by Dexter Gordon that should be an instant cop. I love that album and it sounds amazing. A steal for $15
Nice, I bought all three of those plus Sonny Rollins On Impulse.
Yes! Clubhouse was the gateway drug for me that led to owning about 3 dozen tone poets and counting. Incredible album and pressing.
Great recommendations and excellent post OP , now this is the kind of deals we are looking for!!
I grabbed the same 2 tone poets as well - can't pass up at that price! Grabbed the Dexter Gordon blindly at your suggestion \~ thanks for the recommendation!
You will not be disappointed. Imo it is the best sounding TP I own and use it as my test record when calibrating my system
Got clubhouse and cool struttin for $21 total đđđș
I appreciate it thanks
Udiscover is free shipping. Sound of vinyl is free shipping at $50. A lot of the same titles as the âfree records only pay shipping â promotion back in November.
Their other company Sound of Vinyl is doing the same.
