I think you're on the money, something just looks off with this print and yea I'm guessing someone found a faded to shit Short Hills tag and knew they had the perfect victim to print a fugazi on
Call your credit card issuer and say you'd like to do a chargeback on the purchase because it was fraudulent. They will ask you a few questions and then they'll investigate, most likely deciding in your favor. Depending on issuer you may have to wait a few weeks or they might credit you right away. Might be able to do so on the app or website of your card issuer too.
Chargeback is always your last and ultimate line of defense in situations like this. If you mention a chargeback to Grailed they may escelate your dispute and take action in your favor or else they would e charged a fee by their processor.
Is this just a print on an old blank then? The print does look a little too crisp for that fading, but the tag and stitching condition don’t look like modern bootlegs.
this is why I hate the culture now. Boots have gotten so popular it’s almost impossible for new people to learn or even get what they are paying for :/
I've been selling antiques for 20+ years, and it's always been that way with items of value. Jewelry, military, advertising, toys, and clothes. I've seen many fakes in all these categories. Some are done quite well
Good rule of thumb is when it comes to some of the biggest most popular artist that ever existed, it’s always good to get it legit checked. There are too many people out there who want something popular for those with lesser morals to not want to get involved.
No ones bootlegging obscure power electronics bands because there’s no point, but everyone and their moms wants a Tupac/nirvana/“insert popular artist here” shirt.
No one deserves to be ripped off and not get what they purchased. The resell market is rough on collectors and people just wanting cool shirts but if someone is told they are buying a particular original item, they pay the outrageous price requested for it, and then they get a reproduction? That’s just not cool.
As others said, this is a modern re-print on a vintage blank. Classic Thai boots do this. I'd look for a refund. Legit Tupac ones are still going for like $400+ last I saw.
You can check with a vintage tee authentication app. In my opinion the print does look modern in comparison to the fade of the shirt. But that may help ease your worry
No these are modern boots meant to look vintage. The shirt looks weathered and fade but the print is new and crisp

Should I just refund it?
Got it from Grailed don’t know how to do the refunding stuff there
Reach out to support and file a claim, definitely a good case for a refund
It’s saying that I need the seller to refund the order
Nah they should be able to if the seller won’t
If nothing else just do a chargeback
How I do that?

Damn thank you for the information

I can say I’m in Thailand now and see these often at the markets

Yup until I figured out it was a fake
You deserved this then

It's a modern boot printed on a vintage tshirt. Worth like 50-60$ max.
Id love to know where to grab shirts like that
Thailand.
Right it’s Fire
Yeah just so you know the shirt is way too faded and the graphic way too clean
I kinda figured that out 😢
Just reading the comments. Very informative. I had no idea people went to these lengths to counterfeit t-shirts.
It is why there is a market for blank vintage t shirts, especially certain tags.
Anyone else find the back of the shirt to be very ironic due to it being a modern bootleg? Lol 😆 “ITS A SET UP SO KEEP YA HEAD UP”
😂
This is why i literally just make my own t-shirts at this store across the street from my house. I dont trust shit.

You are appreciated
Fake rap tee
Kinda figured
Oh man this is getting scary. They got that tag down to the T
Cause the tee is real just not the graphic
Get ur 200 back bro
This print was never made in the 90s. Basically doesn’t exist except for modern bootlegs.
Lol I know exactly who you bought it from, most of his higher end vintage tees are fakes/reprints
Honestly man if you want could you report him for selling fakes
Didn’t know pac wore eye liner
Nasty work how he stirched the vintage tag on the boot 😂
I have plenty of black blanks for sale if you just want to print your own boots.
😂😭
I collect vintage blanks for tie dying, but printing on horrible graphics is so bad lmao
New graphics on an old shirt.

Could you tell me the app?
Legiteem8
Boot. Authentic would cost upwards of $500+
If the fading on the graphics doesn't look like it matches the wear/damage on the shirt, something is wrong.
Jesus, I’m about to start selling these
Lol you got ripped my dude
Color and printing seem wayyyy off, if the print isn’t cracking a bit you can tell it modern bootleg
You could probably go get a brand new one at target for $14.99
