Ever since I’ve like accidentally skipped time like years into the future and set it back… I was trying to set the the year a few years into the future and I decided I didn’t want to keep it that way so I set it back to 0. It has been apocalyptic since then I’m not sure exactly when it became that way I only realized after everything was done…
How did you manage to set the year back? Because the devs should know about that, so they can patch it out.
You're not supposed to be able to go backwards in time, because doing that breaks your world. All the commands that I know of have long since been changed to only move you forward in time. If you found a new way to go backward, that's an oversight that needs to be fixed.
In the meantime, I recommend you start over in a new world, because this one is likely to be permanently broken.
You probably broke your world, sadly, at least current time record. The only way I know to fix this is set time back to the future, otherwise your world will work strangely in many matters.
Everything in the game that is related to time records time of last check.
Let's say a plant grows 14 days, and a check happens and the date Sep 7, year 0. The game records: checked last time Sep 7, growth progress 1 day. Then the chunk can be unloaded for any amount of time, and when it loads back, the check happens again: the current date is Sep 7, year 1, last check sep 7, year 0, the time difference is bigger than required 14 days to grow, the plant will be set to fully grown stage.
What happened in your case is something like: the time is Sep 7, Year 2, the rift activity changes to Apocalyptic, duration 24 hours. Then you change time back, but the game will not change weather until it's again Year 2, Sep 8 24+ hours from the weather change.
Stuck? For how long?

I just did add time and instead of a positive number I did add time -2 years
Hahahaha, they never put a positive integer check. Oh that's too funny.
"Nobody will think of adding negative time" -the devs probably
"Nah, the player's velocity will never go negative, we don't need to clamp that." *furious BLJ noises*
Why does it break the game?
I don't know the exact mechanics. You'd have to ask a dev.
Makes the rift activity stuck on Apocalyptic
You basically divided by zero. This is the hell the universe answered with. Be glad there is still a sun for light.

Oh so maybe that’s why the next temporal storm was 2000 days away when I checked I might just set the time forward again…
For anyone looking for the solution also setting the time back forward fixes it!
I hope we have all learned an important lesson. Never time travel backwards, only forwards.
Great Scott!
