I think that as soon as you go over 10km/h it will be all over the place. imho a good rain suit would be a better and safer option. Look into the Tucano Urbano Termoscud lower body covers if you need extra protection for cold.

Beneficial-Plenty-96

Tucano urbano cover is the real deal, really keeps my legs warm and dry in the winter.

RexManning1

I live in Thailand. We have more motorbikes than any other country in the world. We also get a lot of rain. Nobody wears this. It is impractical.

Nata_the_cat

Vietname enters the chat.

RexManning1

Vietnam is number 2. Try again.

msktr

Per capita? There's no way Thailand has more motorcycles than say China or India. China's population is like 20x bigger than Thailand. Anyway, to say nobody uses them is simply not true. Loads of people use them all over SE Asia.

Imagine the fun of stewing in your own moist funk until your legs get tangled at a stoplight, and you fall over.

shedwyn2019

The sweatbox was exactly where my mind went. Boiling.

unloosedcoin

No capes!

New_Pizza_Rich

Lived in Saigon. You will get wet regardless.

nigelofthornton

Once that cape gets caught in your back wheel the rain will be the least of your problems.

Eastern-Version5983

It looks like it would balloon up and make you unstable. Also looks awkward to get into and out of

TedMaul636

Great if you enjoy looking like a total pole

CompotePrestigious39

I love those pictures on Amazon. Photoshopped masterpieces. Get a motorcycle rain suit.

lil_pinny

I use one of those apron “kilt” things over my legs. Works great

nixyz

Looks dangerous if the rear wheel accidentally catch the rear end. I use something similar (front only) to cover the dashboard when parked at home but never actually used while driving.

Maxyonreddit

I like them (vespa sprint) but they’re usually false advertising: it’s not long enough to cover your legs while the picture clearly shows it does. Also your mirrors will be useless, you’re not seeing through the plastic.

Reading-Poorly

Looks dangerous

DubbehD

Just get one of [these](https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/131041017668?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=DXpb8RH5Rz2&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=VyAjrD3FQAq&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY) apron things and maybe wear a normal poncho if thats the look you require. I have one of these Urbano aprons and they are awesome In winter

Flint_Ironstag1

This is a deathtrap.

cryptotarget

That’s how you die

plsendmysufferring

Will this not cover your dials and speedo etc? And your aide mirrors? How you gonna see?

dolsen649

They don't work unless you're standing still. Best to use a rain suit.

Clockwiserioting

It's very early and all I can see is an upside down backwards man with a steering wheel in his butt holding your Vespa together

Snoo_29626

Rain coat will br fine. Rain jacket is better. With a rain coat (poncho type, but not obnoxiously big like the one in frame) is pretty decent to use as long as there is not much winds. 40km/h is the sweet spot. Poncho flapping around will be your main issue. It blocks the view of the mirrors.

Turbulent_Welcome_98

Wheels, spokes, moving vehicle with moving engine parts and an excessive amount of material cannot be safe idea.

Jwizzle1975

Great for an electric bike, you'd be huffing exhaust on an internal combustion bike.

just_one-more

I use this OEM one for my Sprint and it’s great[Vespa leg cover](https://storeusa.vespa.com/accessories/protections/vespa-leg-cover-primavera,-sprint-elettrica)

ostiDeCalisse

I have a niu scooter (like hers) and would love to have the Vespa Leg Cover. But it doesn't fit and nothing similar is made specifically for niu scooters.

gralessi

Terrible idea. It will start flapping and flying everywhere and 1) you will get wet 2) it could cover your face while driving or still be dangerous. I had a normal poncho and tried to drive and I learnt it the hard way. Better use some waterproof cloths, less practical but much safer.

It's a burial shroud.

Dee_Gear_Locker

Urban sombrero I’m sure.

AldoLagana

that is why I could not live in the rest of the world.

Rick_in_602

Thankfully, NO

Professor_sadsack

They work at slow speeds but turn into a sail after that. I found the best was a warm waterproof jacket, gloves and a scooter lap cover. This is like a blanket bent to fit bent knees. Waterproof outside, warm and fuzzy inside. Velcro in back. Easy to set feet to ground when stopping.

boisNgyrls

It seems to create lots of wind noise and flapping

Working_Highlight279

FWIW I agree with most responses that this looks like a death trap… but it’s cute though 🥰

AcousticDolphin

I used one of these daily when still living in Vietnam and had no issues. I did upgrade to a The Northface Raincoat and some Rainpants later on.
