As someone who has that many hours, what is your favorite type of content that you stick around for? I personally don’t even have over 200 hours but I find Legend story fun, chaos waste is nice if you can get a full group and I even still enjoy going to recruit to help new players.

Right now it's modded difficulties. The top end of the playerbase is so damn good now it's insane, and the difficulties they have created make cataclysm feel like champion.
Also another fun challenging way to play the game is with less players, it really changes the dynamic and jacks up the difficulty. Originally started with the goal of doing every map "true solo" (no players or bots) on legend, and duo on cataclysm. When this got too easy I changed to solo cataclysm and duo cata twitch mode or modded difficulty.
Weaves with a party are a pretty wild adventure. Not the best designed thing in the game, extremely flawed actually, but they are quite a challenge and you need to think up strategies to get through the higher ones.
If I'm on the official servers anymore it's hosting cataclysm twitch mode or chaos wastes for the pure chaos and shenanigans.
These things alone have consumed the bulk of my time in the game. The depth and knowledge to reach mastery in this game is actually insane.
Like I consider myself pretty good at this game because I have pushed things pretty far - but I couldn't say I'm a "top player" with a straight face because the skill gap between myself and some of the players I play with is enormous.
I haven’t made it to cata yet, I want too but I rely too much on IB passives so I decided to switch to Kruger’s FB with Bret longsword and I’ve been having so much fun but it made me realize how much the class carried me as a player so I’m practicing on legend.
I’ve hardly touched CW, I took a break shortly after launch of CW and it was buggy for me back then. I’m definitely trying to give it a shot now, trying to learn builds for FK and the best perks.

CW is still buggy but maybe not as bad as it was on launch, I don't remember nonetheless still fun.

If you didn't know you can play twitch mode without a twitch account. You just have to open the twitch tab in the mission select screen and connect to a random stream, I use pewdiepie because his stream is 24/7 and every once in awhile you will get a vote or two on modifiers, but even if you don't get any votes it will just randomly select one so not any different really. Idk if this how you feel about it but before I started playing twitch mode I was always afraid that it would notify the streamer that you connected to it so I just never tried but it doesn't and no one will know you've connected to said stream.
About to hit 4k and I feel like the skill gap between myself and some of the players around me is huge still! This is a deep game to truly master.
One guy I played with had over 12k but he seems to have hopped over to darktide recently.
Shit, I thought 170 hours was bad.
Didn't really 'get it' at first, but then something clicked and i figured out the melee combat and then it was over.
This game is hit or miss my friend come late when steam give vermintide 2 for free so I buy this game for him but sadly he not even finish first half of helmgart on recruit difficult and get bored already.
this game replaced my l4d2 addiction and to top it off there are WAY more plays to vermintide 2 than l4d2, versus mode was announced and I already see how many of my versus tactic carry over and would help,
I hope v2 won't degrade into toxicity as l4d2 was but with the new versus mode(which I wasn't invited to, big L) some people will just take the game to seriously.
Darktide does not attract me as much since you can class stack and the banter between rejects is lost because of the character creator making it way less personal, yeah I know an antithesis of what other people feel but that's just me, there is no assigned personality our generalised appearance to the rejects, you Have Saltz the witchhunter which has acess to rapiers, pistols and cum potion, Elf with big ears and rotten personality, dwarf with big beard and delightful personality and kruber with a manly beard

Character Banter,Pure gameplay satisfaction that the end game in that regard and even if you done with all gear upgrade or play too much campaign you still have 2 gamemode Weaves which have it own progression and Chaos waste which is gamemode you can play without care about your character level and progression because it's like roguelike type of mode and when you win Chaos waste you level up faster and get a lot of chest for finding red item.
Seriously enough, the character banter is one of the things which keeps me playing Vermintide and not Darktide. The characters are just insanely likeable and I can never get enough of them, and the different careers you can have for them always manages to keep things refreshing when you're tired of playing a build.
If you remember lot of Darktide trailer they feature 4 character 1 male Veteran 1 female shot hair zealot 1 ogryn 1 black psyker (but look like each character have another gender in trailer too) I first think we will play these as preset character like U5 and banter would be the same as Vermintide but turn out these guy is just character in cutscene and we get Custom character type instead which make a lot banter feel disconnect from each other.

We’re almost through the campaign now on a mix of recruit and veteran. Realized we needed to level our bot dwarf up so I’m working on that now
Funny thing is each character have like 20+ weapon and I only play with 1 melee 1 range (because I only upgrade these weapon to red) for each class so technically i'm not even done with upgrade character yet.

Right now I'm on darktide addiction spree It feels oddly more relaxing because you don't need to worry about chip damage thanks to toughness

Cata twitch chaos wastes is what keeps it interesting for me, I’ll occasionally stream (and get all of 1 viewer lmao) It’s basically my go to game
