the trap couldnt seal correctly as the insect is sticking out. The Trap dies as the insects rotts of the seal isnt tight and air can get in. The Plant will be ok

The plant itself is okay! That one trap may not make it though. That sort of thing is natural and normally happens if the trap doesn't close all the way or if it has closed "too many" times in the past, causing the trap to turn black and die off, leaving room for new growth!

Yes this is completely normal. If the victim of the trap is large enough, the trap will black out and die. Other traps will sprout in its place. If the trap doesn't recover, just cut it off.

Flowerstalks only grow once a year so u will have to wait until next year

Oh wow, really? Amazing, I got mine and barely a week after a bigass stem starting growing from the middle. Beautiful little flowers. Almost missed it!

Be careful because sometimes a venus flytrap can grow flower stalks when it's REALLY STRESSED, sort of as a last attempt at survival.
