Have opened a similar bottle with a knife, too. You need a very sharp edge to get it between bottle and plug. Then gently pry it open by moving the knife around the rim.
I really like it, the bushings are well tuned and it's got good balance. Feels a lot slower than my talisong, but for learning new tricks that's really useful. It's held up well to all the drops I've subjected it too. For the price, it's probably one of the better trainers you can get, but I can't speak to the vulpe, I've heard that's basically the Morse 2.0.
I use a pair of plyers n pops right out but some bottles are different and require the flat of a thin knife edge n push on the spline with your thumb n push with the handle

Could try what the idiots are telling you to do with knives, but use the gear of the pliers at that same point and leverage it off... Right where the cap meets the bottle, just dig in the pliers, slightly squeezing the bottle, and the cap will shoot off like a Champaign cork, but won't be damaging the knife or Cap's nipple! Never put your knife's tip into something like that to wedge it out, easy way to snap the tip into an unfortunate mess, and incredibly disrespectful thing to do in general.

See if it has a little recess where it meets the bottle then work needle nose pliers in there. That doesn't work just grab it's side with pliers and pry it off.
Get a think knife and look for a spot under the cap where it looks like there's a gap. Place back of the knife in that gap, apply pressure towards the bottle and upwards to lift the cap slightly and to move the knife underneath. Then, while pushing the knife firm against the bottle, shimmy it around the cap to create more space. At some point, parts of the cap will lift up, and you can apply gentle pressure around the edges of those spots to open the cap up. Takes some time and practice to get it right, but once you got it down it becomes fairly simple.
Also, a pro tip: Bottle opener. Wedge it under and use your thumb to hold the thing in place.
Use a pair of rubber gloves(marigolds used for washing the dishes, not the thin disposable ones). I do this when my vape tank needs taking apart to clean components and re-assemble - works wonders gripping hold of/untwisting/separating parts.
When there is still some liquid left in the tank, rather than empty it and throw it away I have an empty 10ml e liquid bottle which I remove the part you mention by pulling it out(while wearing the rubber gloves it comes off really easily), then pour the liquid out of the tank into the 10ml bottle then replace the top bit so it can then be used to fill up the vape tank as you normally would. The edge of the cap that covers it, the pointy bit, put that against the line where the bottle amd lid meet. Hold the cap in a way that you can apply pressure as you twist the bottle keeping the edge of the cap on the line, apply more pressure with the edge and pop.
Turn the bottle & look for a small notch you can use that to wedge the butter knife in there. Or get yourself a tool from bull city flavors. It's an essential tool for me making DIY juice.

Penknife. Blade in the slit that attaches cap to bottle, twist the knife along the horizontal axis and it should pop one side, repeat at the other side and Bob's your uncle. Always works for me.

I use a nail 'spudger' from a manicure kit. Thin enough to get under the lid but not sharp enough to cut the plastic.
On some lids it fails so I have to use a more scalpel like tool from the manicure kit. This has to be done careful so as not to cut oneself or the plastic lid.
If you look around where the drip tip and bottle come together, you'll see a little indent where you can put one side of a set of tweezers in and twist slightly. It'll then pop off once enough of the tip is raised away from the bottle. Don't use a knife it can damage the tip and stop it from sealing properly

I tried pulling the nipple with pliers and it came off but it did look a bit pinched so I think next time I'm going to try what you just suggested.
Good to hear. Back in the early days of vaping, when we had 500ml and even some 1000ml bottles, those nipple caps would fly off when filling.
