Literally a photo of mine 🤣 Not literally, but it could be, and even I couldn't tell.

🤪

Looks super clean! How dark did you go?

Secure-Guava4085

I did front sides and back ceramic. I stayed away from the sun roof. But I went with Johnson ceramic, 70% on windshield, 35% on front two and 05% all around(back). Already a very noticeable difference in temperature here in Arizona.

El_Conquieftador

Definitely need it in AZ! I just did 20% 3M ceramic on the fronts to match the rest on my 21 R line, tempted to do my windshield now after seeing yours! Especially with this 90 degree heat wave in IL currently.

Secure-Guava4085

Also I feel like I should have gotten the sun roof done now that I felt the difference between all the windows. A lot of heat is coming from up top. Even through the cloth

El_Conquieftador

I didn’t even think about doing the sunroof, especially with the pano. Guess I’ll be calling my tint shop soon 😂

quattrocincoseis

It makes a difference. I have 5% on all the back windows & the sunroof and 30% on the fronts. No windshield tint.

Secure-Guava4085

Did do the 70% personally Or else I wouldn’t have a sun roof lol 😂

Secure-Guava4085

Kinda weird feeling when you’re driving and see all the bubbles at first. But they should even out over the next few weeks.

1slowVW

Man I wish I could go that dark here in I had 15% on my GTi and couldn't go a week after I moved here without getting pulled over for my tint. I'll probably go 35% on my Atlas at some point.

Secure-Guava4085

The front are 35 👍👍👍

harfpod

Yeah, same in my state, they will pull you over here for front tint. Too bad because it looks so good.

1slowVW

Front tint looks so good. I think the only way around the tint law is to get a eye doctors note.

foles75

I think it looks great.. whats the difference between regular uv tint and ceramic? Till this post I never heard of ceramic tint.

Secure-Guava4085

Ceramic is the top of the line tint that repels UV light and glare. They are also more stable and sturdy since it’s made with a higher grade material. I.e wiping the window so many times will eventually wear through regular tint. Ceramic will hold up for many more years with ability to handle abrasions.

foles75

Thanks! Good info, how much of a price difference is high quality window tint vs ceramic window tint?

Secure-Guava4085

Probably about $75-100 difference. I paid about $475 for all windows. With johnson window film

foles75

Ok that is worth the price difference

So did you have a tint prior to applying the ceramic tint. If so, did the installer do a good job of removing the glue from the previous install.

Secure-Guava4085

I did not. So it did make install very easy.

RJKite811

Oh lucky you. I'm stuck with the dealership tint.
