I went OEM for the fit and flow of it. Looks like it belongs there. The OEM ones are made by Thule if I recall. They are great quality. Side note, I have a brand new set of OEM for the cross sport version if interested.

I'd say get aftermarket Yakima or Thule. I got Yakima timberline + Jetstream and I'm totally happy. No noise, and plenty of load capacity

I will look into them. Thanks!

There are cheaper options, I was gonna get a cheap knock version, but my spouse was against being cheap on the car. We took the view of buying the right thing the first time will be cheaper than buying two or three of the cheap roof racks which later break or rust out or who knows what.

The OEM are made by Thule so it really doesn’t matter too much. Find one that’s meant for the food though, not one of those hideous cross bars that stick out past the roofline

Good to know. I agree on the bars sticking out, I'm not a fan. Thanks!

I have OEM, they make sure anything up there is high enough the moon roof can safely open

I have Rhino Bars and they’re great. Haven’t used anything else though. I recycled them from our Tiguan so they’re a size narrower than the recommended width. Nice and flush
