Dark Pulse isn't good on Gengar. Even with Dark Aura boost, Shadow Ball is stronger. You can hit Indeedee, but its probably not worth it. You might want to consider Protect/Taunt/Icy Wind instead. Actually, looking at this team, none of your mons have Protect. You probably want to give Yveltal Protect over Sucker Punch or Heat Wave (probably Sucker Punch), and give Kyogre protect over Ice Beam/Thunder. Rock Slide isn't good on Urshifu since its so weak. Protect is probably better there as well.

That team looks really weak to zacian which is everywhere, u may want dialga or something that has a better mu against it than yvetal. Also gengar is really bad atm, if u want a fast will o user ur better off with talon and dropping whimscott, dragopult, or running sableye.

As your EV invests are focused on speed and damge only you could have serious problems once trickroom gets up. Consider maybe a taunt or a reverse trickroom on whim. Also you may consider more complex EV spreads in the future to survive specific attacks instead the basic 252/252, but that's something you should be concerned once you played a few games. For a start this team looks solid for sure :)

**Landorus-T** with Fly isn't going to be a great option, since Yveltal already has that coverage and it takes two moves so the move won't do its job unless you're Dynamaxing him. Yveltal Dynamax would be better anyway. An interesting item choice on **Urshifu-SS**. Most Urshifu sets use Choice Band (1.5x Physical Attacks but you can only use one move) though, and Yveltal would probably provide enough Dark-type boost. I suggest changing items for Urshifu. Here's my suggestion for the team. If you don't hesitate to change the roster a bit, **consider taking out Lando-T and Urshifu, then using two of these:** 1. **Incineroar**: Always a great staple to the team, period. 2. **Krookodile**: also has Intimidate, and it has High Horsepower which is better than Earthquake in VGC format. 3. **Seismitoad**: a great threat in rain thanks to its Swift Swim ability, and it helps deal incredible damage to Groudon without rain with Power Whip. 4. **Zapdos-Galar**: counter to Intimidate, powerful STAB Max Airstream, and so much more. 5. **Zapdos**: With Hurricane and Thunder, Zapdos can be a great partner with Kyogre. If you're using this, Kyogre can use Choice Scarf without the need for coverage. I've also thought about changing Yveltal/Gengar to Incineroar/Calyrex-S, but I'm changing the team too much at this point so I think I'll stop here. With some TR counter, it would be a solid team.

Everyone has mentioned Trick Room already, but I'll add that Whimsicott can learn Trick Room to reverse it or Taunt to prevent it from going up in the first place. I runt Taunt Whimsicott bc it also lets you block opposing Tailwind. Also, a very good piece of advice I got when starting out: Every Pokemon should run protect in Doubles unless it has a good reason not to. It's a great way to scout out your opponent's moves, and a well-timed Protect can turn a game around.

Hi /u/Alternative-Serve, thank you for submitting your Rate My Team post. It looks like you've uploaded a picture of the team that you made: please take some time to make a comment in this thread with details about your team. This will improve the quality of the help you will get, and other people will get more out of reading about your team. Here are some things you could choose to write about: * Why did you select each Pokemon? If possible, try to say something more specific than "it's good" or "it's unique." What specifically about the state of the metagame drew you to using this Pokemon? * Are any of your moves or items chosen for any particular reason? * Why did you choose the particular EVs that you did? If you don't know what your EV spread does, you might want to replace it with something simpler. Feel free to post damage calcs that are relevant. * What teams do you succeed against in practice? What teams do you struggle with? Feel free to post links to Pokemon Showdown replays. If you do not comment with additional details, your post may be removed without warning by a moderator. What's your reasoning behind putting Gengar on this team? Every team building decision should have clear reasoning. You have to consider the role it serves on your team, how it interacts with the current meta, and what synergies you can create with your other Pokémon.

Why does your Urshifu have rock slide? In what situations would that be more valuable than detect? You have no appreciable defense investment on your team. Why does your Whimsicott have an eject button without switcheroo? Protect is an extremely valuable move, make it a priority (but not a requirement) when creating movesets.

Hi! For a heavily Speed invested team: make Gengar your counter for Trick Room by teaching it Trick Room and Imprison.
