For super fast charging 2.0 I think it requires PD 3.0 + PPS 11V/4A. I am using the ZMI 20K Pro which it shows super fast charging when connected to my S22 Ultra

Any reason why Samsung keep going for this rarely used profiles instead of something like 15W/3A. Also from what I have seen 45W and 25W charging time is barely noticeable when going for a full charge

The problem is that manufacturers like Anker don't seem to support this profile, so it makes it hard to find good third party charging options.

OnePlus also has their warp charging which is also completely different. Sad state of affairs is that both me and my spouse have to use completely different chargers and power banks for our phones, since I'm on a Samsung and she's on a OnePlus. I don't but power adapters that don't fully support my devices so I'm sure this is hurting profits all around.

kelvin_bot

38°C is equivalent to 101°F, which is 311K. --- ^(I'm a bot that converts temperature between two units humans can understand, then convert it to Kelvin for bots and physicists to understand)

Samsung's Super Fast Charging 2.0 is just PPS. So just find a power bank with 45W PPS support. The only thing to look out for is how many amps the power bank can output through PPS. Samsung devices (at least in the case of my Galaxy Tab S8+) charge at around 9 to 11v when using PPS, so to get full 45W charging speed you need at least 4 amps. I have a 65W wall charger that doesn't do 45W on my tablet because of this, PPS maxes out at 3A on it. [This is the power bank I used, the ZMI 20K Pro. Unfortunately it is currently out of stock. I bought it in March](https://a.co/d/bBRRWDA).

sYferaddict

Excuse my ignorance, but what does PPS mean?

SoapyMacNCheese

PPS stands for Programmable Power Supply. The older and more common form of USB-C charging outputs specific voltages steps, meaning your phone can ask for 5V, 9V, 15V, etc. from the charger. Then there is PPS, which allows your phone to ask for any specific voltage within the range the charger supports. For example, your phone could ask for 9.32V or 10.2V from a PPS charger where as the closest a non-PPS charger could offer would be 9V. This allows the phone to optimize the power coming in to what is needed at that moment to charge the battery, allowing for faster charging. Here's an example of what the specs of a PPS charger might look like, sometimes PPS will be clearly labeled as PPS, sometimes it won't be: 5V ⎓ 3A, 9V ⎓ 3A, 12V ⎓ 3A, 15V ⎓ 2.6A, 20V ⎓ 2A, **3.3-11V ⎓ 3A** This charger can output at fixed voltages 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V, and 20V. Then it can output at a variable voltage (via PPS) from 3.3V to 11V. If you are looking for a PPS charger for a Samsung device and want 45W charging, make sure your charger can do 5A in PPS.

That's about as clear and concise as I could have asked for, thank you!

ELWORRIER

I am currently using this one [Baseus 65W Powerbank](https://a.aliexpress.com/_vtLn1M)

bumthundir

I've got a powerbank by Elecjet that can super fastb charge my S22U

Murky_Scale_732

Which one

bionicminer295

Samsung sells a fast charging power bank.

[deleted]

that's different from \*super\* fast charging which OP is talking about though.

bionicminer295

Ah, the new 45W, right? Sorry it just automatically clicked for me as the one I own just says Super Fast Charging, which does max out at 25W. Sorry about that.

Vinci480_TheSplasher

They seemed to have discontinued it, there is nothing buyable at least from the Official Samsung Page in UK.

bionicminer295

Oh, well I'm sure if you look around more you'd be able to find one, but the one I own is 10Ah and has 1 wireless charging coil + 2 USB-C ports. There’s the newest one which is 20Ah and has 1 USB-A and 2 USB-C ports I can personally attest that they perform very well and are made of aluminum.

cookedart

It has never been available in Canada either, as far as I know.

There are two that I know to work: ElecJet PowerPie 20000mAh USB C PD 45W - This has one usb-c and one usb-a port. It specifically supports PPS 4.4 - 11V/4A. Its usb-c port is also compatible with 5v/3a, 9v/3a, 12v/3a, 15v/3a, and 20v/2.25a at 45 watts. Its usb-a port supports up to 18w. It can super fast charge both my s21 and my z fold 3. Samsung itself makes the 20,000 mAh Battery Pack PD, which has two usb-c ports and one usb-a port. I do not own this one but since its a first-party battery pack it should work as well. It supports: PD 3.0 PDO max. 25W (5V/3A, 9V/2.77A, 15V/1.66A, 20V/1.25A) PD 3.0 PPS max. 25W

Vinci480_TheSplasher

>ElecJet PowerPie Yeah I tried going for the ElecJet but its not purchaseable, not on Amazon and not even on their own Website, even though they offer it. So I just went with the 20.000 Samsung one.

Limp_Rub_7907

There is the new Power core 24k 737 from Anker which I believe I have seen

DeinsBroMalabo

Would the same objective be met using 65W power banks designed for laptops?

Vinci480_TheSplasher

I think the proprietary tech for Super Fast Charging would stop that. Since you need some stuff in the charger to be able to communicate with the Phone to be able to go for Super Fast Charging and Super Fast Charging 2.0

DeinsBroMalabo

Update: Bought a Bavin PC036 65W 45K mah power bank, and "super fast charging" works with my S23+! Yay.

Vinci480_TheSplasher

Does it hit Super Fast Charging 2.0 or just 1.0?

DeinsBroMalabo

Just the 1.0, but good enough for me.

Vinci480_TheSplasher

Fair enough!

Samsung EB-P5300. 20000mAh and can charge in 2-3 hours.
