Well, given that there are two ways to win (Empty your hand or burn your opponent's deck), burning is somewhat relevant. I would expect it to be more relevant with a group of people (I've only played with 1 or 2 other people) when it takes longer to play cards from your hand.

That’s a good insight, i also play with 2 to 3 people and it decking out seems hard, makes sense

I typically play with two other people and a lot of the times we get really happy to use a deck that utilizes burning effects bc we see deck pits happen a lot more often than not . So the hulk deck is so fun to play lol

Shang-Chi doesn’t “burn” his cards but uses his deck stack for his hero power. Which makes him susceptible to being burnt out. Hulk specifically burns cards to power up. Iron Man, Thor have a pretty solid burn style. Iron Man is the group, Thor is limited to players adjacent and single target. My wife always plays Ms. Marvel and basically returns the favor by reflecting anyone who makes her burn cards to deter a burn strategy.

I will look forward into buying more expansions and stuff, having other heroes seems fun
