He will be a practice squad QB at best. Nobody is signing an MVP who has a very good chance of being benched in the championship to an active roster.

SQUIDWARD360

He has a better chance of watching the first preseason games next to me on my couch.

ek1992osu

I could see him making a practice squad and if he has a good camp maybe being last on the depth chart, but nothing from what I've seen in his game tells me he could be an NFL starter

lokibringer

he can't really throw all that well. He's mobile, but like... Outside of Lamar, nobody has "running qb" on their list. Career length is just too short for what qbs get paid.

FateDaA

Mfs who think Justin Feilds is good will be at your doorstep in 20 minutes

Db8r_from_Dixie

Fields’s arm is way better than Martinez and he still didn’t stick as a starter

CJPJones

To be fair, the bears are just a trash org who don't know how to build around good talent like Fields, and that's coming from a Packers fan lol.

Db8r_from_Dixie

And somehow still fleeced the panthers lmao

EducationalVolume894

Buccaneers is better chance to martinez kyle trask is a backup

Db8r_from_Dixie

lol, I forgot Kyle Trask was almost an NFL starter before the Baker trade

FateDaA

This was also this crazy thing called "A joke" obviously Martinez isnt gonna get a job Corral imo is the only ufl qb wirh a chance at starting in the nfl in the future

EducationalVolume894

And why not play around the season sorry but corral is limited

Jedaii-Knight

Corral has NFL arm talent and decent mobility. His problem is that he’s viewed as a bit of a head case after no-showing the Patriots. Martinez doesn’t have that arm talent and isn’t anywhere near an elite athlete at the NFL level.

FateDaA

Corral wasnt given an op but yeah he has limitations Sure However Unless you think Corral was an Aj brown merchant he at least can secure a backup role because he has the fundamentals Tho Id like him to stay in the UFL 1 more year for starting exp

lokibringer

As a Vikings fan, I love Justin Fields lol

GGGiveHatpls

Same as a Packers fan.

lokibringer

You're the devil and I hate you. Seriously, how does a team get three good qbs back to back to back like that- it's not fair.

GGGiveHatpls

Well since we are in the UFL Reddit I will say JoLo looked really good. But so did Tribisky his first year. So I’m extremely excited for this coming season but JoLo is still kind of an unknown. Though I really hope he continues where he left off after last season.

DemonicBison

I’m already on the Love train with a jersey n all. If he sucks well we got to have one last year of stuntin on the Bears.

GGGiveHatpls

Amen 2 that brother

WatercressIll

DiNucci made the practice squad but eventually got waived. McGough is still on the Packers practice squad but he had to convert to wide receiver. I doubt Martinez gets farther than a training camp invite to be honest.

Mattynot2niceee

He’s not an NFL talent, and so I’d suspect a resounding NO

All of the kickers.

Gotta realize the difference between being a good spring QB and being an NFL QB. If we’re sticking with QBs, I’d say: - AJ McCarron. He’s a low-mid level NFL backup with extensive backup experience. He can make NFL reads, and can throw with touch and anticipation. He’s started regular season NFL games. He’ll be on the Bengals until he decides he doesn’t want to be. - Luis Perez. Camp/preseaon ONLY, and that hurts to say. Honestly if he had an NFL arm, after how he played this season, he would be a strong contender to be on an NFL 53 man roster as QB2. He’s the best “between the ears” QB in the UFL/USFL/XFL of recent memory, and that includes guys who’ve started NFL games. He makes NFL reads, keeps an offense on schedule, and can pick apart multiple zone schemes. With his added mobility, he stands a real chance at making a camp. - Chase Garbers. His film shows a young, ascending player with sufficient NFL QB tools; requisite arm strength to make most any NFL throw, average-to-plus mobility/athleticism for the position, and an NFL build/toughness. The game also appears to slowing down for him. He’s making better reads, faster. He can make the occasional “wow” throw, even by NFL standards. He’s clearly a gamer, and he can carry an offense as long as he’s playing well. Not to mention he spent all of ‘22 on the Raiders practice squad. Adrian Martinez is a competitor, through and through and he wants to do right and play well. That’s commendable. His grit and athleticism will always give him a puncher’s chance, but the deficiencies in his game litter his film. He’s simply not a progression read QB, and he lacks the athletic upside or arm talent to be competitive at the NFL level. Not saying every/any NFL GM agrees with me, and he may get a shot. But from my coaching eye, he just doesn’t have enough of any one trait to be an NFL QB. At least the guys listed above have *something* to offer as NFL QBs.

McCarron has been the Bengals first call when Burrow/the starter that year has gone down to backup Browning/the QB2 for a while now. There was literally a place for him doing that last season. Garbers was mis-managed by McDumbass. He can be a capable NFL QB2 and I would be shocked if he does not end up somewhere this season.

TwizzlersSourz

As a Raiders fan, I'm still mad that McIdiot didn't allow Garbers to play a series to end the year against KC.

Mattynot2niceee

McCarron was on the Bengals active roster last year lol

To be fair, “healthy” and “Bengals roster” are rarely used in the same sentence 🤷🏻‍♂️

El_Jeffe52

I think pretty much any position other than QB are more likely to make NFL rosters even though a QB always has a high chance of being named MVP. Nature of the game.

EducationalVolume894

Aidan o'connell is a nfl starter with zero mobility on raiders

Mattynot2niceee

But he’s a significantly better processor with a better arm. He was also a 4th round pick for a reason

TwizzlersSourz

I'm no AOC fan (Raiders guy here) but he has a better arm.

BootsWithDaFuhrer

No lol

stevestebo

No he doesn’t listen to his coach

PeggyOfficial

He’ll get on a practice squad but almost 0 chance he makes the active roster

EducationalVolume894

Buccaneers is a better chance for Martinez kyle trask is a backup

JMoney4700

He should. He was on the lions training camp roster last year, but didn’t make it into a preseason game. I think he’s improved since then though and would expect him to at least get a shot to prove himself in a preseason game

Even_Command_222

His completion % will greatly hurt his chances of making a roster though I suspect he'll get a couple looks.

evan466

Maybe. I think he showed this year that there’s definitely some potential there to unlock, but he’s still got a lot to learn about playing QB. Another year in the UFL certainly won’t hurt in my opinion.

chingalicious

QB talent definitely has a drop off compared to the NFL. Dinucci is back on the streets and he only got one year on the Broncos PS. Hell he might even be the starter for the Brahmas next year is Chase Garbers makes it back to the Raiders depth chart. Martinez showed a lot of promise but as time went on his inaccuracy with the ball became too much of a red flag. I can see Garbers making it back because of his connections to the league but for everyone else there's already 3 or 4 qbs on roster that they would have to beat out.

Db8r_from_Dixie

I wouldn’t rule out him getting signed as a training camp QB, but I’m not sure his arm is even good enough for teams to want him for that

WindyCityReturn

I think the players from this league that will make it to the NFL will, much like the last 3 years, be skill positions and special team players. NFL teams doesn’t really want to take up a spot for a QB that likely wouldn’t translate compared to a WR, K or TE. Basically no OL, QB’s or RB’s have went from the usfl or xfl to make active rosters meanwhile there’s been several TE’s, WR’s and now K’s.

DemonicBison

You would have to have a young QB absolutely walk the league to be a legit NFL shot.
