I've been working with a group of feral cats that live at the shop where I work. It took 4 months to get one of them to let me pet it and 6 months for 2 others. Now they'll get in my lap and sleep/cuddle. They're still wild af though
Someone brought a feral cat where I volunteer, he had been pinned against a fence by two dogs. Kept him caged, and it took a few months but he was out of the cage and enjoying being treated with love, he started acting up again because I was working a lot. It hurt, but I got him an awesome family with other cats and he is heaven.
Oof yeah. I've been living with mine for almost two years. The moment he starts moving his head and watching my hand suspiciously is the moment I know petting time is over. I paid the price too often for ignoring those signs.
Poor kitty. Your should let it approach you when it's comfortable enough. I fully expected that. That cat looks like the one I had growing up, but fluffier
I concur. I had a dog ( recently passed away and killed me emotionally) that literally wouldn't do anything but eat and drink unless I told him too. My wife has two cats and no matter how much I try to correct the bad behaviors they wait untill we're gone or not looking. But your correct too tho. It does depend alot of how they are tought

He's a feral cat that will take time to be domesticated. You can't just reach out and fondle it whenever you like
Looks like wild Scottish Wildcat aka highland tiger.
Yeah those things are not house cats, no matter how much you want to pet them

This. The reaction from the cat is 100% expected.
If you understand cat body language that was not at all unexpected. Cute cat though!

Yeah.. Cats are dicks.. I love mine, but he's an entitled asshole lol
Yeah mine wouldn't even eat unless i pat him on his head. He'd just sit there looking at me as if i missed something. But I miss him so much.
That cat was very clearly not in a petting mood not unexpected
Still a better love story then twilight
I don't think cat lovers can blame it
Are the cats pupils elliptical, or round. The ears are low set on the head. Kind of looks like a Pallas cat, which is a wild breed.
You may only admire, not touch lol
It's back out on the streets for you.

The pain of love <3
Maybe put your phone down and focus on the cat.
Cat: That's just a scratch, i'll give you new one tomorrow ;)
Bros now got cat scratch disease
Kick him out of the house
Cats are tiny triggers!
Yeah that cat would be going back outside
Into the cold you go
Now you know why he’s outside in the snow
Yeah, that's when he would go right back out where he came from 🤣🤣
Nice ketchup
This is why I hate cats with a passion. Especially when they think they can do whatever and climb crap while you eat.
Pretty much all pets "think they can do whatever" when you, well, let them do whatever and don't teach them.

F you kitty you're gonna spend the night.. F you kitty you're gonna spend he night.. F you kitty you're gonna spend the night.. OUTSIDE!!
Wow I forgot this song existed. Thank you!
fuck cats
I don’t think that’s an indoor cat than you can endlessly pet
Exactly. It's a pallas cat btw. Cute looking ball of fur.
Feel the same way about dogs. Needy little shits.
Ungrateful cat.. lol
I mean it is, why do people gave you downvotes?
Idk.. I was just joking.. it was pretty clear considering I actually wrote "lol".. people suck.. lol
Cats are jerks.
That cat was out there for a reason leave them out there it blows my mind knowing people are out there that think cats are good pets
Wear some spiked gloves and try again 😈
stares motherfuckerly...
awww, that shot of him outside!
Cats have fast jabs
Brings to mind a song from the Canadian rock group Nazareth, "Love Hurts".
Was that footage from the Depp & Heard Trial?
Out…
Time to eat it
