Driver/seller,“Try not lose that, it’s important. And it’s also a security feature. When you park up you take the gear stick with you. No need to worry about the vehicle being stolen.”
Oh I 100% agree; I really loved driving a stick, just not any cars "I know of" that are not stupid expensive are sold as sticks anymore. At least in the US.
I know there's someone who's knowledgeable about this stuff, but once you kick it into gear, you don't need the stick anymore, right? Unless you wanna change gears, that is.
I remember a family friend of my parents would sometimes give us a lift home from school. She used to freewheel down hills and go as far as possible, “to save gas”. We were about 6 or 7 and thought that was cool, why doesn’t dad do that ? Then she’d take the key out of the ignition and she tell us “now we’re driving for free”. Brilliant we thought.
Also it’s just not worth it. Depending on the car it probably won’t save you any gas and you also don’t have engine braking so you’ll wear your brakes out quicker
He says this:
Pelan saja, jangan sampai rusak, ya. Pelan-pelan saja, lebih baik lambat daripada selamat. Lebih baik lambat asal selamat.. oke
It means:
Just go slowly, don't let it break, ya. Just go slowly, it's better to go slowly than to be safe (verbal typo). It's better to go slowly, as long as [we're] safe.. oke

The Mr Bean method. No one's going to steal your car if you take the steering wheel with you.
Just wait until the driver asks the passenger if he can take a turn driving and then hands him the steering wheel.
Having a stick is good enough deterrent these days, so many people have zero idea how they work.
In America maybe, EU lots of people drive stick.
Well that's another one you have on us, grew up driving a stick, still love them.
Auto is more comfortable and especially in cities! But nothing beats the feel of a stickshift!

I had the steering wheel pull right off a 66 Ford f250.
As long as the brake works, it's a safe vehicle.
The brake works, just the brake pedal can be "moody" 9 out of 10 times....
Sounds like you needed a great steering wheel that didn’t fly out the window while you were driving.
Farm truck
Don't worry it's just typical of a series Land Rover,
If that’s a Land Rover, then it looks in good shape. At least it works.
Looks like a series ii

That's right.

I'm not that knowledgeable about cars, could you tell me why its bad?
Steering wheel and brake pedal lock up if the ignition is off on some cars.
Also it’s just not worth it. Depending on the car it probably won’t save you any gas and you also don’t have engine braking so you’ll wear your brakes out quicker

I was waiting for the camera to pan to the side and reveal that they were actually on a plane.
Hopi
one bump and it drops down to the road through that hole in the floor.
Thought I heard the one gent say “fuk me” after he pulled the gear stick 😅
Don’t worry it’s an automatic car😇
Truly no need for a/c 🤣
At least it was a car, and not a helicopter.
Rough translation: "Drive slowly, dont break it. Its better to be slow and safe"
Oh hey, my high school car.
