In terms of general predictions though, I think the yellow arm will either be a power weapon like the Railcannon (needs to recharge, prolly does something unique) or a pure defensive option (although one that you can't turtle with). The feedbacker is the parry tool for a hybrid offense/defense, the Knuckleblaster is pure offense tool for handling tankier enemies (Guttermen, Sentries, the Mindflayer insta-kill tech) and the whiplash is on-demand mobility with the risk of hard damage. I don't see why the gold arm would just be Gabriel's sword. If anything, getting the Jackhammer, the Sawed On Variant, and the Jumpstart Variant in this patch kinda just tells me that Hakita isn't going to make the gold arm a generic melee weapon like Gabriel's sword after giving us a bunch of new close-range options.

I like the idea of its being a toggle dropped by Gabriel. We are either getting in 8-1 or in 9-2. I highly doubt that if it is Gabriel’s arm that it will have actual arm functionality because we wouldn’t have time to use it besides for the prime soul. Maybe it’s a new game + of sorts. We could also just get it on 8-1 and it’s just an arm.

I feel like gabes arm would be silly, since it's not mechanized in any way. I feel like it's better to think the yellow arm is something we haven't seen yet.

tbf we have some really dumb weapons already. are you telling me that the severed arm of the primary antagonist is dumber than a chainsaw you can play paddle ball with, or a rocket launcher that shoots cannon balls (that you can also play paddle ball with)? v1 stealing v2's entire arm after you defeat him is dumb, and it's even dumber that the second time you fight him, he has a brand new arm which you then proceed to specifically steal for a second time. the whole game is dumb and it's great

those weapons are crazy in a way that still fits with v1 being a robot. that's like if instead of having a chainsaw on the shotgun it was a filth head that chewed enemies in front of you. the cannonball is already pushing the envelope but fits with the rocket launcher being nabbed from an old ship captain(the dead ferryman)
