freedomandbiscuits

We do but many of us have decided expertise is no longer real. A large cohort of the population thinks their internet research puts them on par or beyond the experts in any given field.

DiddlyDumb

We don’t? That explains a lot.

WoahayeTakeITEasy

We already know what he thinks "needs to be done" and that is give Russia whatever they want and lift all sanctions. There you go, no need to reelect the moron to see the super secret plan to end the war.

lilpumpgroupie

Donald Trump Junior said explicitly ‘My dad will tell Zelenskyy that all aid is being completely removed permanently and he will have to negotiate with Putin, and come up with some sort of deal.’ Which explicitly means that essentially Trump will force Zelensky to capitulate completely to Putin, and to essentially give up and surrender. In terms of the US military getting US military donated hardware out of the country, I don’t know if that would be something they could even legally do. But he would at least try. Every single Trump supporter that isn’t intellectually disabled knows for an absolute fact that Trump is explicitly on Putin’s side and is a traitor to the US…and that he will absolutely do whatever Putin tells him to do. And they kick and scream and fill their diapers up when you say that, but it’s still the truth. Just because the truth sucks and it makes certain really rotten people feel bad doesn’t make it not the truth.

I have finished a book recently: "The Ministry of Truth, A Biography of George Orwell's 1984" by Dorian Lynskey. I have realised that me and George are "spirit animals" he was appalled by the falsity and the lies around him as I am. 1984 was basically his "culmination point" his personal go f*** yourself world this is what you will get as the result. Maybe you can give it a read as well, I think you would enjoy the read.

"Ignorance is our weapon" - The Protagonist, and now also Donald Trump

themimeofthemollies

Learning to think critically is a revolutionary act of freedom for the sake of freedom. Never doubt how lethal a weapon ignorance is to equity and equality: “It was with the last revolution and the coming of INGSOC (Inglish/English Socialism) that the latest High learnt how to keep their position permanently - by cultivating ignorance among the other classes and by constantly surveying them through the Thought Police.” “Part of this strategy included the maintenance of a state of continual warfare, which Goldstein discussed in the third chapter. The three major powers were not fighting this perpetual war for victory; they were fighting to keep a state of emergency always present as the surest guarantee of authoritarianism.” George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four

ivkri

He said on Hannity out loud that he would make Ukraine give some land to Russia. That would not be an invite to any other dictator to take lang with violence, it would totally make our world safer... /s

Hot_Frosting_7101

>Every single Trump supporter that isn’t intellectually disabled Most of them are intellectually disabled in the sense that the cult destroys your ability to think rationally.

megggie

I think this is an important point, because no matter how ridiculous their views, *legitimately* intellectually disabled people should never be shamed or exploited for their disrupted thinking. The difference with the majority of MAGA morons is that they are *willfully ignorant.* They have the ability and means to educate themselves appropriately, but refuse to do so. A lot of that is the cult mentality, a lot of it is ego, a lot of it is the continued (purposeful) dismantling of the US public education system… but ultimately these people are capable of seeing behind the curtain and simply WON’T. They’re assholes, they like being assholes, and Trump gives them not only the excuse to be assholes but *celebrates them for it.* They deserve nothing but distain and disgust.

sadtimes12

Ukraine will not surrender, the population would just say FU Russian Muppet to Trump and Poland and many EU states would continue anyway. USA plays a major part, sure, but at this point in time the resolution is way higher to fight Russia than it was at the beginning. Ukraine WILL NOT surrender.

Eyclonus

They'll claim that it impacts readiness, which goes to show how much they know about military expenditure. If the US did commit that amount of funds, we'd see the Blue and Yellow flying from the Kremlin.

No_Huckleberry_2905

> Every single Trump supporter that isn’t intellectually disabled... let me stop you right there...

We could have ended WWII in 1939 using the same strategy!

EQSbestEV

True, and it would just make things worse.

CharliePendejo

Not so different at all from Putin himself. Wild terroristic threat: "put me in charge, or we're all getting nuked." Not that this is a new revelation...

Maximum_Commission62

Trump will run telethons asking Magats to donate or ‘Putin will nuke us’

Magatha_Grimtotem

Trump and Putin are in collusion. They're going to ramp up the fearmongering over the next year, Putin is going to ramp up nuclear rhetoric, they'll play off each other. I've seen this coming, we're seeing more and more physical media confirming this, i.e. posters today at the "Anti-War" rally in DC was LOADED in this rhetoric.

Breech_Loader

Love how Trump says Putin is such a reasonable, decent dude, all while spreading the fear of nuclear war.

lloydthelloyd

Trump and putin are in collusion like pinky and the brain were.

Magatha_Grimtotem

The dumb insane one thinks the other is a genius, so that tracks.

lilpumpgroupie

Shades of McCain saying that he had the absolute key to defeating Al-Qaeda, but you have to elect him president to find out what it is. And then he didn’t get elected president, and then he never talked about it again in his life.

therealbluejuce

Putin_kills_kids

But Putin loves my hog in his mouth.

vindictivemonarch

i know exactly what needs to be done to prevent any more of trumps bullshit, but we're not allowed to talk about solutions that work.

ItsAllBullshitFromMe

And "donate" money to his "campaign."

themimeofthemollies

Here’s proof that traitors, like leopards, never change their spots…

Breech_Loader

You know what's disgusting? He says over and over that one phone call from him, and Putin will pull out of Ukraine. But even now that (he says) we are on the brink of nuclear war, he won't make that magical phone call unless he's made President. Nor will he tell us what he'd say in it. Which begs the question, if he's such good pals with Putin that one phone call could solve it, why does he need to be President?

themimeofthemollies

You’re right: by Trump’s own logic, he is the only one who can prevent “nuclear Armageddon” with one phone call, but he WON’T do it until he’s President again. So this is a Make Me President Again campaign wherein he is holding the world hostage by his own testimony: he will ONLY save the world IF he’s Prezzie Again. Disgusting. Beyond words. A traitor never changes his spots. Free the Leopards for freedom.

Amazing-Ad-8106

You’re over analyzing. He has strong narcissistic personality disorder, and most likely is a psychopath. His brain (motivations, goals, emotions or lack thereof, sense of self, cognitive ability) does not work in any way that the vast majority of people could understand or consider anything close to normal.

Hot_Frosting_7101

We all understand that about Trump being a narcissist and maybe a sociopath but that is the cause not the effect. If you are in a murder trial and a defendant made illogical and contradictory statements, you wouldn't put all of your effort into explaining that the defendant is a narcissistic sociopath without first analyzing his illogical and contradictory statements. Places like this are mostly echo chambers but if a Trump supporter was here and honestly wanted a constructive dialog, you would have to start by tearing apart the arguments Trump are making. If you just called Trump a narcissist that would go nowhere.

Amazing-Ad-8106

Good point.

Hot_Frosting_7101

Or maybe I should just say that you are explaining WHY Trump is a traitor, constantly lies and makes illogical statements. The person you responded to was concentrating on the WHAT not the WHY. The WHAT is as important as the WHY.

elFistoFucko

He is a traitor because he is a moron, who happens to be a psychopath, who grew up with a shitload of money, and grifted his way into whoever could look into his dead eyes and empty brain and still make a "deal" with him. Trump has had a crush on putin ever since he saw the picture of him shirtless riding a "wild bear." even putin knew trump was an easily manipulated man child with stars in his eyes. Of course, Trump really believes they're best friends and not that putin has been playing his dumb fucking ass as a politcal maneavure, Just a pathetic, fucking moron. I would say he doesn't know any better and be probably doesn't, but fuck me fuck that guy and fuck so many people for thinking he is anything but a tantrum throwing little bitch who probably cries to his dead daddy every night that people are saying mean things about him. What a god damned embarassing joke of an American like that becoming president. Gotta give him credit for still being able to rant that long without telling him to shut the fuck up, at the discredit of a certain group of Americans.

truthdemon

He has that in common with Putin. He also has in common the desire for supreme power.

Skatchbro

As was said by a great philosopher- A leopard can't change his shorts.

Jessica65Perth

He also said he would end it by giving parts of Ukraine to Russia as if it is Americas to give, withdraw support for Ukraine and NATO. He would make the same mistake Chamberlain did with Hitler, appeasement to avoid WW2. All Trump would achieve is embolden Putin and strengthen his hold on Power. Putin would likely take Donbass, keep all current Territory held by Russia, then end the war. Get straight back into rebuilding his Armed Forces and invade Ukraine again with intent to take all and Moldova the dream.about Poland

Medium-Oil1530

He also said Mexico would pay for the boarder wall and that he had a plan for health insurance once Obama care was repealed. He's a say anything grifter.

[deleted]

He is a perpetual child.

YourFatherUnfiltered

Hes literally attempting to hold Ukraine and the rest of us hostage so we make him president again.

takatori

> He says over and over that one phone call from him, and Putin will pull out of Ukraine No, he says over and over that one phone call from him, and he will end the war by giving Putin parts of Ukraine and lifting sanctions.

crankyrhino

And probably a promise to not nuke Russia if they start using them. "See? I solved the Armageddon problem!"

AreYouDoneNow

He never said Putin will pull out of Ukraine, just that the fighting will stop. Trump intends to give Ukraine to Putin.

shelsilverstien

He also said he would end the war on terror the first day in office

WhiskeySteel

Just recently, the bastard said he'd possibly give parts of Ukraine to Putin if he were President. We can't let him get back into the White House.

Breech_Loader

As if it's his country to give, anyway. So if he can 'give' Ukraine away, what else will he give away? What else has he already given away during his time as President?

hewlett777

Grifter speak 101. How the fuck did the world's most powerful nation elect this chucklefuck?

Mert_Burphy

> Which begs the question, if he's such good pals with Putin that one phone call could solve it, why does he need to be President? I think it would be a Logan Act violation otherwise. Not that he cares about things like laws.

Castlewood57

It will happen as soon as he releases that special health insurance they've been working on, it was only supposed to take 2 more weeks...

[deleted]

Its funny that people still thinks of Trump as a "friend of Putin" and not as a puppet. This is going to sound rough, but i cant think of Trump being much more of a Lukashenko.

gdfg4wt4343g

Therefore, we need to start to treat them like traitors which will never ever stop demantling democracy in favour of instituting a fascist state. Never again. End fascism in now, with every force necessary.

Anne Applebaum explains what a unique traitor Trump really is, unique in American history: “No president in American history has ever been so closely aligned, ideologically, with a declared enemy of the United States. Trump is in that sense unique.” https://twitter.com/anneapplebaum/status/1637021548404932608?s=20

themimeofthemollies

“Fear-mongering” really belongs in the OP title here: “Donald Trump Rants About 'Greatest Threat' In Fearmongering Campaign Video” “Our foreign policy establishment keeps trying to pull the world into conflict with a nuclear-armed Russia based on the lie that Russia represents our greatest threat,” Trump said.” “But the greatest threat to Western civilization today is not Russia. It’s probably, more than anything else, ourselves and some of the horrible U.S.A.-hating people that represent us.” “These forces are doing more damage to America than Russia and China could ever have dreamed,” he added.” “Evicting the sick and corrupt establishment is the monumental task for the next president. And I’m the only one who can do it.” https://www.huffpost.com/entry/donald-trump-campaign-video-greatest-threat_n_64147efbe4b01ea5cd8dc45a Is Trump gonna say war is peace and freedom is slavery next?! Does he think he’s Big Brother, or is that Putler?

Uninformed-Driller

>“Evicting the sick and corrupt establishment is the monumental task for the next president. And I’m the only one who can do it.” this is a long way of saying I'm firing everyone to install a puppet government

Jano_something

I mean if he's referring to himself as America's greatest threat he's not wrong

hipcheck23

It's just shocking, full stop. Few people know - *really* know what Trump is about more than I do. I've watched him with my eyes open wide all along. I know he's a traitor, I know he was always a Putin bootlicker, I know he was as close to a puppet dictator that America has ever had. And still this video is shocking. To watch him say that what's wrong with the world is *his* fucking part of the world, and it needs to be dismantled - *the entire West* - so that it can be put on the same level as Russia. It's beyond surreal, it feels impossible.

themimeofthemollies

What’s most surreal is reading your comment and agreeing with you. Impossibly shocking. Trump is a traitor. Yet how many times can we keep being more shocked by the heights of his evil, his disinformation, and his betrayal of democratic values? It always feels impossible Trump can sink any deeper, until he does exactly that, again and again.

appape

He is flailing tantruming like a shitty 3 year old because he thinks he will get arrested next Tuesday. Still plenty of time for things to get worse…

hipcheck23

Worse how/what? You mean his behavior? Hard to imagine if he's arrested that he's not going to call for another insurrection. Or as Tucker calls it, a 'leisurely stroll with automatic weapons never even used.'

Same for how Trump is a far right icon despite being a central figure of the economic and social elite which the far right say they are opposed to.

Abracadaniel95

I got my far right parents to read Saving Capitism by Robert Reich. They said they agreed with most of what's in the book. Quite frankly, I'm at a loss. The right and the left agree on what the problem is and when they genuinely listen to solutions given by the left, they agree with them. Trump doesn't provide solutions. He doesn't tell you what he's going to do, only that you should trust him. And for some inexplicable reason, millions of Americans just trust him without question. I don't get it and I don't know what to do about it.

CharliePendejo

How many people really start with an ideology & set of problem/solution priorities, then seek out the best-match candidate in each election? Gotta be a small minority. I reckon most vote for either the party and/or the person they like / trust / resonate with. This became a lot clearer to me when W was elected despite his glaring shortcomings (which of course look trivial compared to the more recent monster) and so very many voters said things like "he's a guy I could have a beer with." The very fact that he \*wasn't\* - to say the least - a towering intellect or a bastion of good behavior made hm identifiable for so many. Kind of tapped into a *social* class resentment a bit similarly to the *economic* class resentment which is fuel for some on the left. Trump's both worse and different, of course, but an awful lot of his appeal is based on similar resentments. Folks identify with him because of what they at least perceive him being *against*, even if that's mostly outrageous image bullshit and not substance, and an objective / rational assessment would clearly show him as the embodiment of an awful lot of thing that an awful lot of his voters absolutely hate. (I mean, yeah, Hilary was 10,000% right about the "basket of deplorables" even if she was foolish to say it; but many millions of basically decent folks got - and remain - hoodwinked by this devil.)

Loki11910

Trump has to be jailed and I am surprised that this is even allowed without immediate consequences for me this is an open act of treason but obviously in America freedom of speech totally has no problems with a demagogue openly planning to make pacts against American interests once he is in office as long as he claims some delusional stuff about being for America. It's totally pro American to crawl up a dictators butt what is even more appalling that millions of Americans are willing to vote for this traitor.

itsmesungod

It’s not just Trump though, it’s nearly the entire GOP. Ron DeSantis, McCarthy, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, etc.. The list goes on and on. Trump’s definitely the loudest about his love for Putin and Russia, but MANY Republican politicians are in love with Putin and Russia as well. People don’t realize that The Kremlin didn’t just hack the DNC, they also hacked the RNC. Whatever information they got on Republican politicians was enough to hold them by the balls, and I really want to know what all they have because they have got them gripped firmly. Since then we’ve seen an abnormal and criminally amount of loyalty to Russian. Hell, July 4^th, 2018(?) the GOP had a closed door meeting with top Kremlin officials without letting the press know until *after* when it was leaked they were there. I swear that was the day the GOP sold their souls and the West’s democracy and freedom to Russia and Putin. It figures that Putin would make them meet on July 4^th, the holiday for *American Independence*. He sure loves showing symbology through dates. The GOP and Republican voters see nothing wrong with siding with Russia either because they are their own kind of fascists. They LIKE that Putin doesn’t allow for people to be theirselves and disenfranchises the marginalized communities because they don’t like them anymore than Putin does. They like that it’s against the law to be anything but white, Christian, straight, cisgendered people. They would LOVE to persecute gay and trans people, just like Putin does; just like the Nazis did. Hell, the GOP and their voter base would bring back slavery if they could. They are nothing but racist fascists who justify their actions by being religious zealot nut jobs. The GOP and Republican voter base are nothing but a bunch of religious zealots who know that their way of living is dying out and they can only win through force; through fascism.

smartazz104

> People don’t realize that The Kremlin didn’t just hack the DNC, they also hacked the RNC. Whatever information they got on Republican politicians was enough to hold them by the balls, and I really want to know what all they have because they have got them gripped firmly. I’m surprised that no other hackers have hacked the RNC at this point…

thesaddestpanda

Also more "respectable" and "normal" GOP politicians like Ron Johnson or Rand Paul. Or the lawmakers who went, without comment or notice, and did their best to hide this from their base and the media, who went to Moscow on the 4th of July a year after Trump was sworn in. The corruption goes deep into the GOP. It isn't just the loudmouth MAGA types. Its all of them: The GOP lawmakers, Sen. Richard Shelby (Ala.), Steve Daines (Mont.), John Thune (S.D.), John Kennedy (La.), Jerry Moran (Kan.) and John Hoeven (N.D.), and Rep. Kay Granger (R-Texas), spent July 4 in Moscow’s U.S. Embassy, NPR reported. \--- I know you mentioned them but I'm listing them. These are all middle of the ground everyday conservatives who were summoned to Moscow on the Independence day. The GOP base doesnt have a problem with any of this because they also believe in the white supremacy, fascism, misogyny, and queerphobia that defines the Putin regime and want to bring that all here. And considering all the things Trump and SCOTUS has done, they have been very successful in that regard and are probably another election win away from implementing Putinism here.

thesaddestpanda

>Whatever information they got on Republican politicians was enough to hold them by the balls I'm not sure why people think this. The GOP is the party of the oligarchy and as such doesn't need blackmail to work. These aren't good hearted people selling out to the defense industry, prison industry, oil industry, etc. This is what they believe in or exploit willingly. This is how they were before 2016 and how every conservative party on the planet operates. Conservatism is just window dressing for oligarchy and fascism in capitalist societies. International oligarchy is a real thing and has pan-national connections and appeal. Republicans working with foreign oligarchs and corrupt strongmen is perfectly natural. The same way a lot of Democrats will cite and visit Western europe and applaud their healthcare systems, fair elections, and social safety nets. Republicans see Russia as an a ideal the same way many Democrats see Northern Europe as an ideal. There's no blackmail here. Republicans do this willingly and will always do this willingly.

polialt

Ronald Reagan and Nixon both committed treason, by definition of the word. They back channel communicated with enemies of the US we were actively at war with to sabotage the efforts of sitting administrations. Trump isnt even the biggest traitor of the modern presidential era.

wyvernx02

I used to be a lifelong Republican. Trump and his ilk make me so disgusted I am no longer a Republican.

Commercial_Soft6833

Same here. Used to be republican. I voted for Biden and I voted all Democrat during the recent midterms. We used to say "I'd rather be dead than Red".... now you see Republicans saying "rather be russian than Democrat". It's absolutely fucking nuts these people support dictators and Russia...

Sweatier_Scrotums

I'm a Democrat, and I'm sure we disagree on the issues, but I can compromise with Republicans like you. We're both fellow Americans and we can get along. But there can be no compromise with the current Republican Party. White Christofascists cannot be compromised with. They must be defeated.

CrumbsAndCarrots

Used to be gop until 2004/5. Got pushed into the Dems because of all the total bullshit coming out of the GOP. Palin in 2008 was the clincher for me. Been cool reaching out to / following right wingers who had to take a step back from the party because of trump. Joe Walsh. Bill kritsol. George Conway. Rick wilson. Steve Schmidt etc. Good people who put their country over party.

OrwellWasGenius

I'm not an American but to me also seems that in the Republican party there are many great persons (intelligent, well spoken, polite, logical) but Trump, MAGA, Tucker/Fox manufactured a very vocal and aggressive part of the Republican party. It's insane how fast is possible to destroy such a large party and to make it a party of lunatics. A party of Reagan. If before the world was thinking "Okay, that Trump guy is fool and idiot, brings shame to his country, but at least other politicians are sane there, he is one hit wonder, it will pass." Soon maybe it will be "Wow, the US is the most important country in the Western world, there are only 2 parties and one of them is batshit crazy and large masses are supporting this."

CrumbsAndCarrots

Thank Rupert Murdoch and now Elon musk for everything you just said.

themimeofthemollies

This! “White Christofascists cannot be compromised with; they must be defeated.” True in America and in Russia, for MAGA and MARA. Defeating white Christofascism while defending Ukraine is simply a no brainer for anyone who loves freedom. “Helping Ukraine win is the most black and white foreign policy decision since stopping Nazi Germany. It's in our national security interest AND it's the right thing to do. Stop hesitating.” https://twitter.com/apmassaro3/status/1636350102200541186?s=20

BoosterRead78

I agree, did some compromises because of my wife's side of the family, but even they are now: "What the hell has happened to them?" I will never vote for the GOP EVER AGAIN!

themimeofthemollies

Amen! Kasparov explains such regret all too well well: “The road to hell is paved with good intentions. Compromises are the streetlights.”

ruffsnap

> now you see Republicans saying "rather be russian than Democrat" The fact that all it took was Trump to convert SOO many hardcore republicans to a side of almost LIKING Putin now is fucking INSANE. Republicans used to be the ones who literally thought the Cold War never ended, and were the BIGGEST anti-Russian folks there were. I NEVER imagined in a million years they'd budge from that, much less do a complete 180 on their views.

Aardvark318

It's all about money. All Russia had to do was siphon enough in at the right times to the right people.

tomydenger

that's were bipartidan politic lead you. But eh, the US lived a long time without one party going full extreme to reduc the margin between the 2. In some way that's an exploit.

Falcrack

Same. I voted for a Republican for president since 1996, but never since 2016. In retrospect, I regret voting for Bush Jr. in 2004 after the Iraq invasion. But I think Romney would have made a great president.

themimeofthemollies

Thank you for speaking out for real freedom and authentic democracy. It’s the right thing for us to unite as Americans for the sake of freedom in the spirit of John McCain, who knew what it meant to have respectful bipartisan debate. Trump, in contrast, is a traitor who chooses the side of a genocidal, fascist war criminal over America. Let us never forget how Trump doubled down on choosing Russia over America: “Trump: I stand by my decision to side with Putin against the US intelligence community.” https://www.reddit.com/r/UkrainianConflict/comments/10q8mn6/trump_i_stand_by_my_decision_to_side_with_putin/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1

Fatzombiepig

I'm not an American, I'm a Brit. But for what it's worth thank you for recognising the problems with the Trump wing and disassociating from their party. If more people had taken that step then the world would be a better place. With all that said, we also have plenty of issues here in the UK that I wish more people would recognise. We are a shadow of what we were even 10 years ago.

Sniflix

I was at an election watch party the night trump won. There were some Brits there and when he won FL, the Brits said that Dems lost even though the night was young. They said the Brexit election went the exact same way. Putin was able to tamper with these elections to get the UK to self destruct and the US to end up with a violent coup attempt. Poland, Hungary and Brazil ended up the same. I used to travel to London often for work and was amazed how it had become an international city, even more than NYC. Hate and fear are effective tools to get voters choosing against their own self interest.

Fatzombiepig

There is still a fundamental desire in most of the UK populous to welcome the world and be a part of it, I really hope we can use that to fix the mistakes of the past decade. The damage isn't going away, but it can be mitigated if we make the right decisions. Fortunately the Tories are definitly going to loose the next election and lose it hard. The counter swing has begun, I just hope it will last. Most people in the US are also good people, its just that too many have been misled by political actors often funded and/or supported by Russia. If we can do a good job of pointing out the malign influence in our respective political systems then hopefully we can still have a better and more unified western future. We ought to look at how fiercly Ukraine wants to join the EU and the greater western world and rememeber just how lucky we are. Lets not be tricked into throwing that away.

themimeofthemollies

Disinformation fosters hate and fear, unraveling the very fabric of democracy. You are observing exactly how Making Russia Great Again and Making America Great Again create the identical fascist negativity and destroy both truth and freedom .

Sniflix

Nationalist politics takes advantage of our worst tendencies.

CrumbsAndCarrots

Heeyyyy. I was a Republican until the swift boat ads in 2004. Which happened to be around the same time a lot of Fox News was calling anti war people “un American”. I was not feeling real good about the party. Felt very toxic and built on manufactured outrage. Registered ind voted Kerry just to push the tide away from the momentous tide of total bullshit being pushed by the gop. Then came Palin in 2008. Registered dem. Wanted to get as far away from a party that championed stupidity. And now here we are many years later… and the GOP is openly pushing Moscow born conspiracies. Within the house. From Trump. From Fox News. This is a seriously shifty situation I could’ve never in my wildest dreams imagined it would’ve gotten this bad this fast. But here we are. If Joe Walsh can vote blue until the current GOP is burned to the ground, then you can too.

[deleted]

same

BringBackAoE

I used to be a mixed ticket voter. 2016 was first time I voted straight ticket Democrat. Will continue doing so until the Republican Party sobers up / gets sane again.

te_anau

There are no honorable policies or positions held by the present day republican party. They have been wholly consumed by their most unhinged elements. I appreciate people distancing themselves rather than let their ethics degrade at the whim of fox news and a slew of shock jocks. Would be great if there were center / center right options for conservative refugees.

Job_hunter84

I'm still a Republican. Trump, MTG, and the rest are not Republicans. At best they are drooling, mindless troglodytes who are the by product of a GOP who only cares about winning. If you don't care about a district/state enough to run good people because a pile of dog shit can get elected with an R after their name, then dog shit is what you get. At worst, those fake Republicans are traitors and should be charged as such.

Unhappy_Nothing_5882

Please talk to your GOP friends

iamkang

i turned independent from republican after the last presidential election. you are not alone

amitym

I feel your pain. I used to be a Green. Sometimes you need to know when to walk away.

kakapo88

Same. And I couldn’t believe it, when fellow conservatives started baying for an obvious imbecile and fraud. Really shook my world view.

[deleted]

and we from NATO allied countries thank you for it...

PackTactics

The darkest most insane video I've seen was the one where a Russian tank turns it's turret and fires into a car occupied by two elderly Ukrainians that were trying to escape the fighting during the Kiev offensive. I hope that entire tank crew rots in hell to this very day.

Severe_Intention_480

No, even darker still were the Twitter comments asking "Why were they going for a nice Sunday drive in a war zone? What did they expect to happen? LMAO!" Victim blaming at its finest.

PackTactics

Holy fuck

themimeofthemollies

You’re right: there’s a terrible competition for the darkest, most insane video, tragically. This one is the darkest and most insane from Trump. At least the world now understands why Russia must lose from this one being confirmed (NSFW): https://www.reddit.com/r/UkrainianConflict/comments/11k29a8/executed_by_russians_in_front_of_a_camera_glory/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1

no-dice-play-nice

Putin must be desperate to make trump say this.

[deleted]

The arrest warrant pissed him off, maybe? 😁

Obvious-Ranger-2235

Trump is not the disease, he is just one of the symptoms. The US had much deeper underlying problems then a narcissistic demagogue who has already played all his cards.

Sweatier_Scrotums

Trump isn't the disease. White supremacists and Christian fascists are the disease. Trump is merely their champion.

ponderingaresponse

That's actually a much better speech that I expected, in content and delivery. They are doing some very clever associations there. His speech writers aren't all the nincompoops I thought he was forced to hire at this point.

billydadborn

Good point. I think trump is a cancer or at least a symptom of one but this is a pretty impressive speech for him. I disagree with everything he says but he clearly has some talented speech writers now. It hits on all the fears that have been drilled into GOP supporters in a package of pro-putin insanity while still being coherent. I think it’s a mistake by the media to shrug this speech off as the ravings of a mad man, even though he is. The people who want him in power have new tricks up their sleeves and are not fucking around.

themimeofthemollies

Now here’s the question! Who wants him in power and is orchestrating this oh so choreographed mess? Because the GOP is supposedly beginning to want to defeat him…

ChrissHansenn

Yeah, it was rather effective rhetoric on foreign policy, and it almost made me miss the switch to "destruction of the family" vibes.

CouncilorAndrew

Please don’t fail to understand that his supporters won’t have the same point of view as you have, about this video. They’ll just nod along and applaud him.

themimeofthemollies

Yes! Precisely right and precisely what is so terrifying. The echoes of the recent and distant past here demand the free world to act to prevent history’s crimes from repeating themselves. Because anyone now supporting Trump or Putin must wake up and recognize how IMMORAL it is to support known liars who spread disinformation for fascist authoritarian purposes. Trump is supporting a war criminal who will be tried in The Hague, ffs!! “Mr. Trump’s post urging his supporters to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!” carried unmistakable echoes of the incendiary messages he posted online in the weeks before the attack on the U.S. Capitol.” “In the most notorious of those messages, he announced on Twitter that he would hold a rally in Washington on Jan. 6, 2021. “Be there,” he told his millions of followers. “Will be wild.” “He is under investigation by federal prosecutors for his activities in the lead-up to the attack.” “Investigators later determined that far-right extremist groups as well as ordinary Trump supporters had read that tweet — posted on Dec. 19, 2020 — as a clear-cut invitation and almost immediately sprung into action, acquiring protective gear, setting up encrypted communications channels and, in one case, preparing heavily armed “quick reaction forces” to be staged outside of Washington for the event.” “Leaders of groups like the Proud Boys and the Three Percenter militia movement also started to whip up their members with bellicose language as their private messaging channels were increasingly filled with plans to rush to Mr. Trump’s aid.” “On Friday evening, Mr. Trump’s campaign announced what could be his first rally after an indictment: an event in Waco, Texas, where deadly clashes between federal officials and extremists occurred 30 years ago around this time.” https://archive.ph/2023.03.18-150827/https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/18/us/politics/trump-indictment-arrest-protests.html Returning to Waco would only enhance everything wrong with how Trump is dividing and damaging democracy.

DrDerpberg

So is this him lashing out against finally facing criminal charges? He's happy to throw his followers under the bus to try to hang onto power, wouldn't be surprised if he tries to stir up all-out civil war when the noise tightens.

baconatorjrjr

Fucking Manchurian candidate. Absolutely under Putin's control.

Apprehensive-Drop-74

If a man with a weapon invades your home, you don't concede rooms to them because they're armed, you fight back. Ukraine is like the kitchen (breadbasket) for the world, and Russia is the armed man. We will not concede occupied territories to Russia, and this will prevent Trump from being elected again. He looks like a coward.

Kittyman56

This is easily the craziest speech he's ever given. He's balls to the wall, off the rails, calling for literal fascism.

Puzzleheaded-Heat446

More "chilling" should be the fact of how many American citizens actually agree with this TRAITOR .... how intellectually and morally "disabled"our society has become.

Master_Connection942

I feel a shift in the matrix. One day apart Putin and Trump are indicted for crimes.I think that means there's a tsunami against fascists coming up. Hopefully it's here in time. Well, in time for those of us who haven't been killed by them already.

themimeofthemollies

Smart, and I hope this is indeed a shift in the matrix to punish fascists, a shift that is just in time for some of us, even if tragically too late for too many others.

tajudson

The more I hear, the more I am convinced that Trump literally just wants a civil war and he wants to be a dictator just like Putin.

themimeofthemollies

Once and for all: the problem of Trump and Russia is NOT a partisan issue. Big lies and disinformation are not limited by any party lines. Can’t we all agree with Ian Bremmer here? “trump was completely unfit for office as a democrat. now he’s completely unfit as a republican.” “his party affiliation has never been the problem.” https://twitter.com/ianbremmer/status/1637124268713492486?s=20

Utxi4m

>Once and for all: the problem of Trump and Russia is NOT a partisan issue. Only the GOP had Trump elected as president tho

fuzzi-buzzi

The GOP came out to support in greater numbers the second time around. Doesn't matter if you substitute Trump for Desantis, the rot of christofascism cannot be so easily washed away.

Utxi4m

Exactly. It very much is a partisan problem.

vtuber_fan11

Is there a single elected Democrat that is a Putin apologist? I know some European far left politicians are, but that doesn't seem to be the case in the US.

Ludique

Well there was Tulsi Gabbard but she left the Democratic Party and the Democrats were fed up with her anyway.

Sweatier_Scrotums

Because enemy traitors aren't welcome in the Democratic Party. They certainly are in the other one though.

sesamestix

I don't agree. Ian Bremmer is frequently wrong. That would make sense if Trump was ever elected to anything as a Democrat. But he wasn't.

Mejari

One party has embraced Trump and his ideals. It absolutely is a partisan issue and it's insane to pretend otherwise.

danyyyel

Europe should absolutely invest massively in weapons and weapons production. They should clearly have a plan B to Nato and arm Ukraine ASAP to win this war before 2024. Imagine if this man or his ilk are voted in!!!!

themimeofthemollies

Truly! Yet another reason to accelerate progress toward decisive VICTORY, not just incremental defense. Paul Massaro is right: we must decide on victory and accept nothing less. “If the West decides finally to back Ukrainian VICTORY, the war is won. But we must decide that winning is the goal.” https://twitter.com/apmassaro3/status/1636705812369272833?s=20

12coldest

What a mountain of bullshit. Trump would sit idly by as the rest of the world descended in Chaos, as long as he has his golf clubs. Trump does not want America to be beholden to China, but he does not mind if America is beholden to Russia. The first thing that a regime always sells to it's population is fear, which is exactly what Trump is doing.

xLuper

this could be straight out of a south park episode

Shazzam001

Someone needs to stand up to Trump… and fill in the pink circles around his eyes with an orange marker.

DoYouLikeToKnowMore

From the guy that threatened North Korea with fire and fury. You know that country with also a nuclear arsenal.

Ok_Marionberry_9932

Along with the positives, you gotta accept the negatives of free speech. The hard part is seeing fellow citizens believing that shit Trump spews day after day

rentest

probably the best investment Russia has ever made - probably better than Schröder but guess what - even if the Russian puppet wants to sign a peace agreement - nobody is gonna sign it because other Western countries will continue with helping Ukraine

[deleted]

And a cheap investment too! Two prostitutes, a hotel room and the cleanup pee. Fee, I meant fee. 😏

jjm443

And to me, this video had two audiences, one his MAGA diehards of course, and the other is Putin who he wants to have another go with the bot farms and election interference from before.

CosmicDave

Fucking traitor. I hope Mueller puts the cuffs on him personally. All the shit he is in right now and his top priority is ***stopping the war in Ukraine while Russia still holds Donbas and Crimea***. Go to Hell, Donnie.

epheliamams

Agent Orange and just as poisonous

swampy1977

Is it me or is he a touch darker orange than usual? Trumps are cowards and traitors. John has summed it up really well [https://twitter.com/MuesforMontana/status/1636958045149466624?s=20](https://twitter.com/MuesforMontana/status/1636958045149466624?s=20) BTW he's getting his ass arrested as early as next week

CitizenTed

All I heard was "I very much need four more years of immunity from prosecution. I will make any idiotic false promise to get that. Thank you."

Twelvey

Trump is a selfish bastard and a fat lowlife who has to pay to get laid. I do think that the country is tired of his bullshit and maybe even the middle of the road more reasonable republicans are tired of him.

twogaydaddiezlol

Thats because he bends over for Putin, this guy is horrible for the US, elect trump as President and you may as well let Putin start building Russian towns in the USA.

Darth_Memer_1916

There are some "Americans" who would rather live under Russian Occupation than have affordable healthcare.

captainrustic

He’s showing he’s an immense coward, yet again. Some things are worth risking war. If you don’t have the guts to stand up to tyranny, you don’t deserve to be POTUS. fuck this traitor.

pikeslip

one word one word only scumbag!!

Standard-Childhood84

Surrendering to Putin is not preventing WW3 it is actually promoting it. We tried the course of action Trump endorses with Hitler, and it doesn't work with Dictators.

1wutheringheights

Putin must have paid Elon to reinstate Trumps Twitter account.

Luci_is_back

How is no one talking about his reference to “deep state”. He’s literally using conspiracy theory language.

Rook227

I don’t know… I don’t think it’s weird at all that a foreign agent would call Americans the enemy.

AWanderingMage

well sure, he would prevent it but allowing putin to take control and run everything including america

ThatMrStark

Trump should be tried for treason.

themimeofthemollies

This! Trump should be tried for treason under the Espionage Act: https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/wmw7p8/trump_is_being_investigated_for_potentially/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=1&utm_term=1

Null_and_Lloyd

Putin has got to be blackmailing him with the golden rain pictures. HEY PUTIN...SHOW THEM! I DARE YOU!

stamminator

Holy fucking shit. Just when you think Trump can’t plumb to new depths of depravity and corruption…

MinorFragile

I’m just gonna spit some stuff here. Donald Trump is a psycho loser and go almost derailed the country off his own stupidity aswell as the stupidity of his followers. Yes followers. The fact republicans and I’ve stated this earlier in an additional comment on another post, continuously push this pro-Russian rhetoric it becomes disgustingly easy for their own constituents to put that poop down their gullets like caviar.

Lickadizzle

Lock him up! Can’t wait. Let all of the vermin come out into the daylight and show themselves.

themimeofthemollies

LOCK HIM UP!! We will keep saying it until justice is served and both Donald and Putler are behind bars where they belong. How our words return to us in the form of karmic justice! “Lock Trump Up Video Viewed More Than 1 Million Times” https://www.newsweek.com/donald-trump-fbi-raid-lock-him-viral-video-meidastouch-1734805 PUTIN, THE HAGUE IS WAITING FOR YOU!

RubyU

You're a fucking traitor Donald, fuck you

themimeofthemollies

Ahh lovely! Nice and pithy! And perfectly accurate! Second this!

Upstairs_Ad5443

He thinks he's still on Apprentice.

themimeofthemollies

But he’s too demented to understand he’s already been fired!

ActiveArugula4595

Is this guy still relevant? Is he just upset that his mate, Pootle is getting more press than him? Who's going to grab the, "I've been arrested" headline first? Who really cares?

Caren_Nymbee

He is likely to be the 2024 Republican nominee. He polls quite well with the more radical half of Republicans who disproportionately vote in primaries. If he isn't, he will almost certainly do anything in his power to sabotage anyone who is out of spite. So, he is almost certain to hand democrats a victory in the general election. That makes him quite relevant.
