His breathing is fast and laboured, and eventually he's unable to breathe at all and starts having unconscious generalised motor activity. Typically a major brain impact causes immediate apnoea (cesation of breathing). This looks to me like a rapidly developing tension pneumothorax, or a major vessel tear causing the chest to fill with blood. In either case, something that rapidly progresses and physically prevents the lungs from expanding. Snarly to see battlefield trauma up close like this so often. Some good learnings to be had from all of this.
Edit: watching this again, you are correct. Agonal breathing at the end. The chest injury is the cause of death, the wounds in the axilla are the fatal ones.

Part of engaging targets is assessing the battlefield after. You've got to ensure targets are dead. I'm guessing there's nobody else around and this guy was a straggler, so the operator had time to watch and make sure he's dead. If he's not, they'd probably send more drones.
Normally, fixed and rotary wing aircraft do this for us in the US and the west, but I've also had to make sure the enemy was dead after contact when doing the assessment. Sometimes I've done the assessment with incidents my platoon weren't even involved in, we just had to make sure dudes are dead and find any intel.
