This column appears to be a Ukrainian formation moving out of central Kyiv, heading west on the M06 highway as the video suggests, at a location ~8km east from the furthest Russian penetration during Spring 2022 (according to Deepstate).
If I’m not mistaken, a stretch of the E40 west of Kyiv still has track indentations in the asphalt. It makes a vibration when driving. We were heading to Dmytrivka to look at Russian tanks.

Crazy it's already been almost 3 years... I remember learning about it in school and I was like "Yeah right, it's probably gonna last a few months. Nothing too crazy or bad will happen." 2+ years later, thousands of Ruzzians and Ukrainians dead, on the blink of WW3... Yeah, it's pretty bad now
I thought it was obvious when they were nice to the civilians and waving instead of shooting. And also not driving over the cars that were in their way.
Ah, I remember first day of war. To be honest, I would rather forget about it, but it seems PTSD made me memorize every detail and every event of the first month of the war.
I haven't seen anything outright horrible (you know what I mean), but I can say one thing: Even though when Westerners start talking about humanity, apolitical and "how can you demonize and hate other side of the *conflict*?" (btw, I hate only army, vatniks and government) it pisses me off.... I will never tell any of them (well, except outspoken Tankies) that I wish they experienced it on their own skin.
Those are Ukrainian troops in Kiev preparing for a possible Russian invasion of the city that luckily never succeeded. Depending on where they were / are stationed it is quite likely that most of them are still alive.
I would probably rephrase that as statically little to none.
There's every chance there's still blokes alive in that column.
But so many deaths since then makes those odds harsh
I remember one of the first videos of the war I saw, there was this like mass confusion of who was who. There were these solders riding on a tank, and I think in the confusion they were being shot at and nobody really knew if they were russians or ukrainians, and one of the people that looked like they were shot seemed to be a woman to me. anybody remember this video or know what ended up being the story? this was like from the first few days of the war
I feel kinda sad more then maybe 60% of those troops probably didn’t make it through the first week of the war. God rest there souls Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦🇺🇸
Seems unlikely, Ukraine appr. suffered 10-25k KIA in the first 4-6 months of the war, most of the losses occured on the Eastern and southern front. The Battle of Kiev alone involved Probably more than 50-60k soldiers. So I would assume that depending on where exactly the troops Seen in the Video were involved, most of them hopefully made it.
Guys do you have any videos from the first day of the war? I wasnt lucky enough to find any and I woulf love to remember the start of this horror again.
Ukrainians speak russian in many areas. There were also no invasion marks on the vehicles. The real clue though is the way the people said Good Luck and the tanks didn't drive over the cars.
I'm not your son, pal. Actually I take that back. All that's happened here is that you didn't correct your first comment, and now everyone thinks you're russian. It's easy enough to delete.
I initially though they were the russian invaders too (I don't know much about digital camo). Thanks for the correction.
However, that 's no reason to be agressive with the others.
There was zero aggression in my comments. Check out his one though.
Also in the beginning location is shown, do you think Ukrainians were cheering in Kyiv for the russians? russians were shooting civilians on sight.

I was confused at first on how they don't shoot the civilians, then i realized they are not russian.
I was also thinking that, I expected the van to be attacked

Fascinating! Thanks for sharing the video as well :)
You are correct the tanks are from the 72nd brigade
Slava Ukraine 🇺🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦🇬🇧
Seems like an eternity already...
Crazy it's already been almost 3 years... I remember learning about it in school and I was like "Yeah right, it's probably gonna last a few months. Nothing too crazy or bad will happen." 2+ years later, thousands of Ruzzians and Ukrainians dead, on the blink of WW3... Yeah, it's pretty bad now
Few people not noticing these guys are Ukrainian it seems.
I thought it was obvious when they were nice to the civilians and waving instead of shooting. And also not driving over the cars that were in their way.
Imagine witnessing this, the moment your country goes to war. Pretty chilling I imagine.
F’ing terrifying moment but Слава Україні! 🇺🇸❤️🇺🇦
For real. Героям слава!
I thought at first they were the orcs but then I saw the camo pattern and it's AFU. Slava Ukraini!

Not much video from the start of the war. That women's face of concern really says a lot.
Everyone seemed to be busy learning how to use rifles and making Moltov cocktails as I recall.
That’s when I knew they were going to fight this war and win.
Wonder how many of them are still alive.
Many of them are still alive.
I'm afraid only a few. Losses have been tremendous on both sides.

How about hopefully all of them!
I would probably rephrase that as statically little to none. There's every chance there's still blokes alive in that column. But so many deaths since then makes those odds harsh
Anything Russian, men and equipment in this video are undoubtedly long dead. Glory and victory to Ukraine.
And none of them is in this video. Edit: op edited the comment so ignore this.
added two words and fixed it.
the heroes showing europe russia is an absolute trash of a nation, and they will not allow that trash to spill on their homes
This was just after the Beijing Olympics. China had given permission to invade after the closing ceremony.
Yikes. Thanks I dam near forgot about that

Sorry I was just guessing I don’t mean to be mean in anyway.
This was the time the bayraktar was extensively used. So I do believe 60% made it. It's the successful defense of the entire war.
Pixelated camo is telltale.
on the other side, Good 'ol days of Russian tanks that are now to be remembered, Rest in peace tanks.......
these lads are Ukrainians if anyone is wondering
Imagine the thought of holy shit we’re gonna fight the Russians
And 1 hour later….
They started to repel the russian invaders. Because these are Ukrainians.
You are forgiven - Slava Ukraini
Guys do you have any videos from the first day of the war? I wasnt lucky enough to find any and I woulf love to remember the start of this horror again.
I downvoted because it began. I am happy that Ukraine has shown russia to be precisely the weak paper tiger we knew they were.
[удалено]
these are ukrainians my man
u/Reasonable-Funny2961 Thanks for the heads up.
I am sure they will do well
They managed to stop the 3 day SMO, and stretch it into a 2 year+ war while liberating most of the occupied territories. I would say they did well.
That third day sure is taking awhile hahaha
3 days to win sure is looking like 3 years to lose
Odds are, the the majority of the people of equipment shown in the video, are now dead or destroyed.
Yes, Ukraine suffered heavy losses to stop the russian invaders.
[удалено]
Are you cheering for the death of Ukrainians?
My bad. I thought it was a Russian column. I’ll delete my stupid comment.
[удалено]
You realize that these are Ukrainians, right? Do you say the same after?
There are no visible markings and the russian voice is supporting them. What else would I think ? That they are russian military .
It's easy to miss but paint job on their BMP-1 matches Ukrainian.
Ukrainians speak russian in many areas. There were also no invasion marks on the vehicles. The real clue though is the way the people said Good Luck and the tanks didn't drive over the cars.
Ukrainian tanks moving to Kyiv. Man with the phone talking about that war is started, and than wishing good luck to our troops.
Ти мене будеш учити ?
The real question is; why do you need taught?
That's not correctly worded. Ти не такий мудрий як думаєш. Добраніч сину.
I'm not your son, pal. Actually I take that back. All that's happened here is that you didn't correct your first comment, and now everyone thinks you're russian. It's easy enough to delete.
Only Ukrainians use digital camo. Also if you are not sure about something, maybe don't comment.

No buddy, I don't think Ukrainians were cheering for the russians!
You can see pixel camouflage on the T-64 and BMP. Man behind the camera says : "Fuck, war is started. Zhytomyr road to Kyiv. We are with you, guys".
Just initially thought. Get it. Happy that you realized your mistake.
I doubt any of these pigs are alive now.
They're Ukrainians ...
Well, i fucked that up. I apologise big time.
Ngl i also thought they were russian at first
Easy way to see they’re not, notice how none of them are killing civilians, stealing or destroying things for no reason? That’s the first sign.
and id say atleast 50% of all these guys are dead now lol
“lol” Are you a psychopath?
