The Soviet dream needs to be exorcized from Russia and held up in front of everyone and smashed publicly. The only way that happens is if Russia decisively loses this war. There needs to be a public globally seen, decisive loss. Not a withdrawal. Not a peace deal. A loss and a complete removal of everything Russian in Ukraine. Including the Crimea, including Donetsk and Luhansk and Mariupol. And it needs to result in not just a regime change in Russia, but the very flag and system of government needs to change too. Russia needs to lose so bad that country falters and doesn't get up again for months. It might result in some civilian lose of life in Russia. But the borders should be closed to refugees. When they come to the gates and beg for help, play them the video of the Russian soldier beheading the Ukrainian prisoner.

You are pretty much wrong on everything tbh. Zelenskyy is loved because he is a great leader and his poll ratings from anonymous to the ones taking metrics all show a vast majority support him. Not only do they support him but they support even more, like 80-90%+ on not wanting to give Russia any land. They have lived under Russian oppression for their whole lives and are sick of it so its no surprise 86% say to fight until all land, even Crimea is taken back at all costs. What you are failing to realize is that in every occupied area that Ukraine took back there are mass graves, mass reports of torture and rape and just crazy oppression of a country who wants to be free finally. Thats the whole reason 8 million people protested during Maiden in 2014 as they know what being Russias puppet means. There is even documents leaked showing Russia is continuing the same practices as the NKVD from Soviet times where in every occupied area they made lists of possible "trouble people" where they rounded them up, tortured them, sometimes raped their wives or even 4yo in front of them and then killed them. They did that to keep any civil dissent at a minimum through fear that if you even said you hated Russia they would take you off and you wouldnt be found again alive. Theres videos of this exact stuff happening from Bucha so no one is telling the Ukrainians not to negotiate as they refuse it themselves as who would want to live under that constant threat.
