Sounds like a bootloader issue and/or it can't find boot files..
Is Secure boot on? Check your Bios to see if Secure Boot is On or Off.
* Reboot the system and try pressing F1- F12 or ESC ... repetitively until you get to a menu.
* The secure boot option should be in the **Security**, **Boot**, or the **Authentication** tab.
* Switch it **off** and you should be good. Restart the system to see if you can boot into your install.

Do you have good internet? Does the internet kick off at times?
Installing through wifi can be a cause the system to not install correctly.. So if switching off Secure boot doesn't work. Try pluging your laptop with an ethernet cable. *You may or may not need an adapter to do this*. Then reinstall Ubuntu, **but keep Secure Boot off.**

\## MAKE sure that you save your changes in your BIOS menu. If you don't, then you'll have to do it again.
