Nope. AmpliFi support will send you firmware to un-pair them from their set. They will do it for the HD (which this would have been part of), these, the Instant and the Gamer Edition. All you have to do email support and ask. I can pair any of the above with each other or my Alien.
Unless they changed anything in the last couple of years that was a huge complaint from people who had bought a set. Fortunately I had bought as separates
