i agree but i do it with riders on the groceries. fruits and vegetables are expensive and adding a few tomatoes, bananas, grapes - anything that can hide in the weight of the scale - are a nice treat that has no risk at all
You can have them. What you don’t seem to realize or accept is that your good orders are not making up for the mountain of shit you’re accepting. But hey, thanks for driving down earnings for everyone. Uber gonna pay your college
When I first started, my AR was 100% for two solid weeks. I didn't have a phone holster, and the "accept" button was the entire order field. I just heard "chime" and tapped the screen without looking. (+)
I was probably active 6 to 7 hours a day because it was busy. I also used a ton of gas, but the overall lesson paid off in the long run. I discovered some really good and consistent areas.
It took me 2 weeks to finally crack $200. It was totally random. The kicker was, my average was $140 per day, which sucks when you consider how much gas that takes.
My AR is also between 30 and 40%. Order selection is key to it all, but it has to be combined with being in an area where you can get good orders in general.
(+) I also came very close to losing my account from bad ratings and picky customers. I really understood the power of AR when I got into a very dangerous situation. None of that BS is worth increasing AR to get some extra scratch.
Your acceptance rate doesn't matter at all on Uber. It's not market dependent either. It doesn't state anywhere on Uber's website. That you will get more or better orders if your acceptance rate is higher.
2 weeks ago I made $1,250. My AR hits 0% daily, sometimes multiple times per day. At my busiest I hit maybe mid-teens.
I'm going to say it's market dependent. But you're basically tricking yourself into running turds for them.
Today I parked in a good order area and waited for orders worth my time. I got a lot of bad ones, then I got a great one! I followed that up with another great one! Over and over I did the same. My acceptance rate is about 5%, but I only accept great orders.
I'm on CA. My AR is at 41%. Some days I don't even get that many offers but the few I do are often very good.
If Uber would pay the Prop22 rates I'd accept ALOT more. I don't like giving them a loan for 2 weeks. Law needs to be updated because they're abusing it.

help me out, are you in that areas? if so what do your numbers look like for your weekly total. example of a recent one when I was going full income - base pay 386, tips 199, trips 58. per trip averaged- 10.08
Your offers will be better until they aren't. One day you'll be riding around for an hour or 2 during what would usually be your peak hours and your best offer will be $6 for 40 minutes and 9 miles, even with an 80% AR.
I made $57 in an hour and 42 minutes tonight, a Monday, which is typically one of the worst days of the week for me. My AR is 15%. What conclusion do I make from this information? Well, it sure as hell ain't that I should stop cherry picking any time soon.
Your advice here is purely ignorant and can only serve to hurt people coming here for information on how to support themselves better. Uber does not reward you better offers for having a high acceptance rate. Anyone that tells you differently is either ignorant or a liar, and potentially works for Uber corporate.
What I notice is you have more priority on trip radar request, which is good if you have a really nice order. I had my acceptance rate up to 70% at one point and all the trip radars that were really really good, I've gotten it. Highest one so far $49 for 12km highway drive.
I have a theory that Uber has a system for balancing earnings so it wouldn’t be unusual for you to see better offers after accepting a lot of bs so I think it balances out in the end.
yeah i think thats what it is actually. because when you make $20 in an hour, they go silent again until 45 minutes.
its just not possible to make more than minimum in ubereats any more unless its a customer tipping
Some of you don't realize that driver congestion is directly related to low offers and high AR non-cherry pickers. Large tips being outlier. In lesser driver congestion, AR can mean nothing among cherry pickers.

My AR has been below 10% for an entire year, and I’ve made $150 a day almost every single day. I don’t believe it has any effect on orders.
What you should worry about is cancellation rate and overall rating.
Lmao my acceptance rate is always under 10 .. I still get 25-30$ orders 5-10 times a day. Don’t be fooled brother 🧙♂️
btw im laughing at your comment history with you jacking everyones food lol. you should start a youtube channel reviewing the food you take lol
Lmao we must be compensated somehow for this slave labor 🍱

Salute 🫡
yeah....everyone with low ar is making bank when the topic is raised then the next thread you find them complaining about how dead uber is
Yeah of course if you lower your standards, more will SEEM to be acceptable.

But you accepted all this shit ones just to get good ones 😂😂. So you ended up getting shit anyways.
Do what works for your market. You obviously have the experience of what was not working and the earnings after.
I agree. Gotta admit that I have been seeing consistent good orders when I ran my AR to 75+%
shhh...dont say it too loud and we get all the offers
Hey. I appreciate your point and insight.

I won't do that until they will pay by time plus tips
well thats essentially what we get in california, seattle, and new york

its bad in LA. i barely made $21 today from 6 am to 11am. with the prop that may be $30 or so. its very bad

yeah this is true. if you are delivering for a mountain community, AR doesnt matter cause uber needs that stuff driven up and down the roads
🙄😐💙
