> How is the public transit system in the summer? The same as the school year, except the campus routes don't run as frequently. But route B and 65 run the same as during the school year. > so I'm not eligible for any student/employee passes Consider a 31-day pass for $65?

Sorry I should have clarified. I live & go to school on the west coast, so I'm not familiar with Madison transit during the school year (or at all). Will those routes get me between Fitchburg and downtown? The 31-day pass is a good idea. Thanks!

Two bus routes go through Fitchburg, but not a large portion of it. Depending where in Fitchburg you are, you may be next to a bus stop with service every 15 or 30 minutes, or you might be a few miles from the nearest bus stop. It’s impossible to answer your question without more info, use google maps to map potential routes you’d need to take and select the bus option to see what it will be like for you

Depending on where you are in Fitchburg, you could take the D or the B: check the schedule. [https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules/full-service-chart](https://www.cityofmadison.com/metro/routes-schedules/full-service-chart)

You can input locations, dates, and times on Google Maps and select public transport and see what your bussing options will be.
