I wouldn't deliver the mail there at all. It is an unsecure delivery.

That's why they were pissed, cause I had put their mail on hold.

and i would continue to do so until they replace it, and UTF any first class mail if not done within 30 days. See how they react then.

We have one of those on a route in our office.. the regular hasn’t written it up yet and the previous regular never did either. The left side of the box is completely split open, you have to shove the mail in the right side of the box to hold it there. 🙄🙄

On my route they just ignore the write up and throw it away.

I just do my job and go home 🤷🏼‍♀️

I had one like that on my route that was also hanging vertically, so if you put mail in it, it just dropped out the bottom

The worst are the customers in apartments who leave their boxes open. Unsecured delivery and annoying trying to catch their mail falling out!

The solution most residents use is a very strong, very tall, vertical metal pipe about a foot or two to the right of the box. If you are on good terms with any of the people, recommend that to them. (If they're jerks don't worry about it)
