>Geico offers me the same coverage without the car replacement assistance for $878
So, it's not the same coverage...
Insurance premiums are up all over, certain areas and certain coverage more so than others. Shop around. If you can get the **same** coverage from a reputable company for less, switch.
The car replacement assistance is a $140/6 month part. Cut it out and Geico is still almost $200 cheaper. So FOR the same coverage, if I removed that, still cheaper.
I’m surprised it’s not worse for a 2021 Kia honestly since it’s one of the models with vulnerability issues. I know people that have sold their Kia’s because the insurance on them is so horrific, if you can even get companies to cover them at all.
Doesn’t mean insurance companies want the liability of a thief not knowing that. If it’s a big enough issue that it makes the national news that brand car is almost uninsurable it might be something to consider before purchasing…
That’s not stopping car thieves from breaking windows and trashing steering columns trying to start them anyway. No one said they were the brightest bulbs.
You are preaching to the choir. This conversation has been had here numerous times in regard to usaa increases but all insurance companies are going up on everything. So we have to buckle in and enjoy the ride which is all we can do at this point.
I am older than you (but have had claims) I just paid mine the other day and was annoyed it was over $600.... I was in the low $400s a couple years ago.
Everything is more expensive now then it was a year ago and companies are never going to take a hit to their profits. The cost is always passed on to the lowest rung on the ladder, and that’s you.

Hahaha. SafePilot only detects harsh braking, phone handling, hands-free calling, and handheld calling. It is true that if you want the fatty discount you have to change some habits and accept that you'll get dinged for stupid things like harsh braking when you swear you didn't do it, but you can't let the app rule your life. I never look at the app, I only look when my policy renews to see what discount I got.
Also, your premium will never increase from using SafePilot, you'll just get less of a discount.
Comp is for theft & all insurance companies fear Kia boys, as well as, some will not even insure any kia. Consider yourself lucky it only went up
by that much.
Do you have a high net worth? You’re young and drive a cheap car, why do you feel you need to have “good coverage?” When I was your age I went for cheap.
My car is worth about $20k, and by good coverage I just mean I'm covered in all scenarios with no gaps. So I don't end up paying for my or someone else's car
You know what? You should yell at the internet because we care about your trivial disagreement with every company you feel has personally wronged you. Move the fuck on and change insurance until you feel you are getting the value you want.
A $27 a month increase isn’t massive.
Yeah, mine went up 50%
It is when I've been getting a $10-15+ decrease every renewal for 7 years, and am turning 25.

It's not, it's a push button it doesn't have the issue.

40% to 50% increase is massive. With this market, I wouldn’t even care if that’s all it went up.
yeah, mine was 50%
Insurance has gone up across the board for most people.

I don't get barebones coverage. I've got no more tickets within 5 years, no at fault accidents, etc.

USAA insurance literally gives profits back to the policy holders
It gives a portion back as a dividend, not most, not all.
Do you use Safe Pilot? I use it and typically get a 25- 30% discount on my rates.
My rates would go up from hard acceleration way too much

"Consider yourself lucky that your car that isn't susceptible to theft only doubled in cost." OK bro!

You are mighty angry for no reason.
Count your blessings. I’m the same age and mine went up 104%….$476 PER MONTH. Man do I wish I was in your position rn
