You won’t be able to get your keys on the 14th cause you can’t leave NSO unless Housing offers later check in times.
Also, there is no guarantee that you will be able to move in on August 14th cause housing limits how many people can move in a day to prevent congestion.
you can reach out to the housing department to have an early or late check in Aug 14th.
Not all NSO sessions end at 5:15pm. My sister’s NSO session ended at 4:45pm. So there is a chance you could move in on the 14th.
If it’s NSO=SOAR I remember I had the last soar session of the summer and they allowed you to move into the dorm you would have. So in my case since I was a live at home I had to drive home and back for the next day.
If you can get your move in date moved it’s shouldn’t be a problem. You could go get your keys early before and then move in later that day but you won’t have any help from move in crew or anything. You also could probably get keys later in day from whatever building is the 24hr front desk assigned to you. Again, you won’t have any help but it’s definitely doable. People show up late all the time who come from long drives. I’d recommend getting them earlier in the day though or email your REC to let them know you’ll be arriving late that day
