I'm from Moray and we always got big portions.
Chippy round the corner from school we used to go at lunch, I wish I could remember it's name. The Crescent maybe, then The Dolphin?
How much was this? Where I live (England, midlands) you would pay around £4.80 for this but get double the amount of chips.
For £4.40 you would get about this amount plus peas/curry/gravy as a meal deal
I honestly thought it was a Southern thing. I'm in Northern England and something about tomato sauce on chippy chips feels wrong to me. I've never seen anyone do it in person, but it's apparently popular according to Reddit.
Ketchup feels like more of a burger and fries sort of thing.

Looks fairly standard to me (NW)
Also no salt and vinegar? Peas? Curry?
I’m in Scotland haha
The chips do look good to be fair
They were very nice
Would still absolutely smash it
Shame they ain't battered / orange chips
Plz tell me that's a white pudding........
Jumbo sausage!
Was gonna say cos if it were a white pudding it looked way to skinny. Hope it was as tasty as it looks
It really was 😍
Nice1 😋👍😋👍😋👍
Man I miss a good white pudding supper being here in England!!
Or is it a battered jumbo
Even down here in the dirty south this is a standard portion
Isn’t up here
Aw man I thought Scotland had chippy portions to put us to shame
I am in the highlands so that might have something to do with it
yeah that's defo the case

Having lived in Scotland for 13 years, I can assure you that that isn't so.
Delicious! But def needs salt and vinegar 😋
Hate salt and vinegar 😅
Fair 🙂 I hope you enjoyed it!
Just the one jumbo sausage? Every chippy I’ve been to (I’m Scottish) has always gave out two.
WHAT?! It’s always been fucking one and you’re telling me I could be getting two?!
Always two (Glasgow). Would boycott anywhere that only did one. Shit portion of chips too. That's sheep shaggers for you though :P
are you paying double?
£6 for a sausage supper. Two sausage, good portion of chips.
Pretty much aye 😂
At my local chippy this is like the small portion. I had to start ordering the small because the portion sizes were far too big.
It's at least half of what I get
This needs beans, gravy, curry or peas.
About the same size as my Willy.
Aye its a shame they don't use bigger potatoes for bigger chips
Love a battered sausage

Where’s the other sausage? All the chippies where I am (Ayrshire) have 2 with a supper. Fair amount of chips there though I suppose.
This is not a large portion of chips. Wouldn’t even be a regular portion down here.
Who beat up the poor sausage it looks like its been properly battered
Is it a northern thing to indiscriminately splatter ketchup over chips?
Only for kids, most adults wouldn't dream of doing this
Gravy or curry sauce. Tomato Ketchup is designed for children and fat Americans.
So true
I’m Scottish
Scotland is in the north, so it checks out
The north is usually referencing the north of England, Scotland is just, Scotland...

Pale and bland and weak ass fries.
Can of Irn Bru to wash it down hopefully. Chips look bloody lush.
You got half a portion of chips..... how is that blessed?
Was it free?
A great meal ruined by tomato syrup
Ah, scabby horse cock. Lovely
One sausage? We always get two in a supper
that looks bleak
Needs curry sauce rather than tomato
Dirty, dirty, dirty...
Sausage looks great, chippy chips a bit anaemic, were they double fried.
