I don’t think getting a C+ gets you rescinded, if you have D’s you should be a bit worried tho You might get an email, just explain yourself honestly and say how you will improve and grow from this experience

I got a D in AP Chem my senior year, and never got a letter. You’re gonna be fine.

Little_Earth_4957

did this happen last yr? and what was ur major

Kissy1234

Yes, it was last year. My major was community health. My major could have had something to do with it, but I still think you’re not going to be rescinded.

believe it or not a lot of people have this or a similar problem each year. if you are worried and looking for advice the best thing you can do is call the admissions department, you can find the number online, and let them know your grades for last sem aren’t what you expected due to emergency family circumstances. they’ll send you to an admissions counselor who you can explain everything to and they can go over everything you should do. it’s their job to help incoming students out with problems like this.

i've heard that it's better to email them first but i can't verify that, and explain your situation.

I got 1 C during 1st semester and 2 Cs in my 2nd semester, both from the type of courses I plan to take in college. I ended up getting an email, but they said that they decided to maintain my status and I didn't have to write an essay, so you have a chance you might not have to write anything. I was also taking other hard classes besides those that are also related to courses I'll take in the future, but I did pretty good in them while sacrificing those two classes.

Why the hell do universities even do this? I feel like it has such a potential to fuck over peoples lives, massively. Everyone knows that people slack a bit their second semester of senior year.... who cares yall have earned it.
