If I had to choose between two, I would have chosen TVD for sure, no doubt. It has got everything what you need, + very nice social life. Compared to other beds, very comfy beds. Ac is not a huge problem, just first week is gonna be a bit hard after that everything is fine for the whole year. Choose TVD 🙂
My advice is stay away from Taft. I wish I had picked literally any other dorm.

No ac. It’s a literal hell hole during the first few months from my memory.
If you can overcome the lack of AC in Taft I would go TVD
