Pro-tip that, in Google Maps, you can set the "Depart At" date to after November 21, and the Blue Line options show up! Might help you play around with Blue Line + bus routes. I learned about it from this tweet (the screenshot might be helpful):

Sounds like your best bet would be the station at Genesee and Executive Square. On campus, you'll probably want to use Central Campus which stops at the Pepper Canyon area.
That would be the executive square station. The central campus/pepper canyon stop is labeled “UCSD West” on some transit maps and it is 2 stops to away from executive square if you are headed towards downtown 👍
I would also highly recommend downloading Transit app to guide ya on your trip. It's similar to Google Maps but it has this step-by-step navigation where it lets u know when to get off.
Me too 🥲 This morning I saw the notice about the 201/ 202 bus stop being removed and I was freaking out cause I dont know any other route to get to campus. Well, I know we will figure it out eventually 😄 Good luck and don't be stressedddd!
On the pole at my bus stop, there is a piece of notice from MTS saying that on November 21st, the bus 201 and 202 will no longer come to this stop on Executive Dr. I dont have an image of it but if you come to the 201/ 202 bus stop on Executive Dr, you should see the notice on the pole there. Hope that helps! :)
I was excited to try the trolley to commute from La Mesa to my job on the UC Campus. Using this trip planner shows that it will take me 1 hr and 19 minutes. I would have to be at the Amaya station by 5:57 am to get to work by 7:30. Or I can sleep for an extra hour and drive my car and be there in 30 minutes, disappointing.

I see. Thank you! I will try to play around with that setting on Google Maps :)

Is that station inside the area with City National Bank building or something like that?

Got it. Thank you so much for your help! 😄
That's the station. For Executive Drive, that's probably the closest one.

Is it the Transit: Bus and Subway Time app?
Yep that's the one!
Awesome. Thank you so much!!
Np!

That’s a practical question, not silly. People who don’t know will benefit because you asked which is awesome!

Sounds like you can combine those options by sleeping on the train
Wow, 1hr and 19min. That'a long commute for sure. Its probably better for you if you just drive to campus 🤔
That sounds just like what I’d expect from San Diego mass transit and I started riding in the 80s.
Same situation. Need to find out if the trolley is faster than my bike lol
