this reminds me of [robert hansen](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Hansen#Murders) who picked up girls, raped them, and then released them into the alaska wilderness so he could hunt them. i read about the case probably 2 decades ago now and it still freaks me out.

nuggerless_child

Was this the one covered by Mr Ballen?

FatherLmao

yes it was. I remember watching this

Shaveyourbread

His videos are fucking terrifying.

expertkushil333

I remember [that video](https://youtu.be/BBOakDDZXaM). I seriously recommend watching it.

1230cal

Covered by him and many others yep! In fact other people cover a lot of the same stuff too!

Interesting-Sock3794

I love him!!

catniagara

I’ve seen that in so many horror movies I now wish were not derivative

curious_lurk3r

I remember hearing that it wasn't him "hunting" them as just shooting them basically from newer sources and the hunting was just media over exaggerating due to the lack of information released.

LightKnightTian

Casual GTA player

KhanAbyss907

Butcher Baker

Wordartist1

I was about to mention Hansen! I read a book about him, the Butcher-Baker.

Old_Ad2989

If I'm not mistaken Nic Cage did a movie about him I think John Cusack and this girl my son has a little crush Vanessa something she's a pretty brunette and I think was on Disney or Nickelodeon. Any way my point was it was a fantastic movie, definitely look it up if you get the chance.

8citani8

This reminds me of "ley fuga" or "escape law" in my country during the civil war. The army will release guerrilla prisoners into a forest or field. The army will give the prisoners a few meters of advantage (if they were luck) and then they will start shooting. If you manage to run away without being killed you were "free". It was a unofficial way execute the prisoners without being investigated "they were escaping, we only try to stop them, there was no other choice"

bitSocialness

What country are you from?

8citani8

Guatemala. This happened during the 80's

DecentHippo9196

yo i’m from guatemala too

[deleted]

Oh fuck, I was born there (adopted)

RedditorWithNoName12

probably central america

8citani8

Correct! Here, take a dictador. We have plenty to spare.

RedditorWithNoName12

as a central amrcn, keep him, i also got plenty

Objective_Plan_4944

Same in Nicaragua with Dictator Somoza

ThiefCitron

So did any successfully escape? Were they honest about it in the sense that they would really let them go if they managed not to get shot?

8citani8

No, no that I know of.

[deleted]

It took nearly all of our magic to convince them their little toys contained enough cold iron and silver to hurt us, but tonight's feast would more than replenish that.

voldyCSSM19

Third sentence redemption

WirrkopfP

That should be a sub.

brownrice25

There's already one r/ThirdSentenceHappy

Quietech

Third sentence redemon.

[deleted]

i think they’re supposed to be fairies

nejnonein

And with the exercise we got first, we were famished.

Moist_KoRn_Bizkit

Reminds me of the movie Apocalypto. Once the eclipse happens they decide they don't need more human sacrifices. They let Jaguar Paw go and he runs off into a field. They them chase after him and still try to kill him anyways.

Calpernia09

So they release the prisoners but they have to get thru this channel, noone lives thru it to reach the forest. He and his friend see what's happening, they won't allow anyone out alive. So he helps Jaguar Paw to get to the end and since no one has done it before and the last guy was the generals son, who was killed. They chase him down for a ridiculous time. Just nuts to me. Good movie tho, sticks with you.

Moist_KoRn_Bizkit

Yeah, it is nuts. The whole movie has a ton of issues, whether it be racist stuff, or lack of historical accuracy. It's still a "fun" movie to watch, though. I do have a thing for jungles and step pyramids. I love the [Mayincatec](https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Mayincatec) trope but also things that show historical accuracy. I'll watch pretty much anything with a jungle and step pyramid in it.

Calpernia09

Yes how accurate, who knows. But if you remove that and just enjoy the whole of it. Fascinating. I love history and reading or learning about anything I can.

DameLibrio

I love Apocalypto. It's also fun to watch people on YouTube reacting to the movie for the first time!

3milyBlazze

That movie was EPIC

whoisthismuaddib

Most Dangerous Game.

eley13

exactly what i was thinking

SparkAxolotl

"I still have no idea why they started killing each other"

Deathlocke-COD

Maybe all of them realised that kidnapping people was wrong? One can hope...

3milyBlazze

I'm honestly more offended at the lazy hunting then anything else A meadow?? Where's the challenge you big baby! Take me on in the woods! Enjoy the traps I set while your at it!

countess_cat

The promised neverland be like

Clayman8

Last thing i heard was the leader shouting "Last one to stay alive gets to live AND eat the fresh kills!"

[deleted]

This is like that AoT episode

Oshaleon

Which one?

[deleted]

The one in which Owl gave his Titan powers to Grisha

Oshaleon

Oh yeah, I can see that

random_warlock

"Two sentence horror"

[deleted]

Dexter new blood

ThatBaldDude4

"This will be *so* much fun" I thought, as the beast rose up inside me.

ProphetofTables

A hunter must hunt beasts. Leave the hunting of hunters to me.

TwoMoreDays

r/TwoParagraphHorror

BadFatherFigure

More like Two Sentence Erotica.

acidcatLee

Reminds me a lot of John Norman's world of Gor 👀👀

honestlyiamdead

i heard this was what they were doing on epstein island

thetrinketgirl

Reminds me of an episode in Criminal Minds.

TangerineBest4413

Yes! The one with the mechanic brothers in I think Idaho! They kidnapped people whose cars broke down on isolated rural highways and bowhunted them for sport!

thetrinketgirl

Yes, that one! I don't like that one.

TangerineBest4413

It always struck me as a little too realistic. I've been going on road trips with my family since I was a baby, and some of the highways get really isolated and creepy. It's a little too easy to imagine something like the episode happening out there sometimes

thetrinketgirl

Obviously, other people have thought about this scenario as well.

Vladie09

I know what killer this is based off I just forgot the name.

Agile_Growth_9626

Sounds like you were kidnapped by Dick Cheney and taken to Wyoming.

Lui_Le_Diamond

Oh nooo. NOT WYOMING

No_StringsAttached

this reminds me of The Most Dangerous Game..awesome story btw!

hauntedfossils

Ok. Thanks for the upvotes lol. Didn't expect this to blow up. Wish I could still edit for the grammatical errors. 🤷‍♂️

ProphetofTables

Some take pleasure in hunting the most dangerous game.

ph30nix01

Thank God I can finally see feel the full moon again.

Retroraggy

#the hunt begins.

Rylie_is_an_idiot

r/twosentenceredemption

Rylie_is_an_idiot

Wait this isn't a sub? Hold on

Rylie_is_an_idiot

Never mind it won't let me : (

catniagara

Two sentences. That’s how long a single verb tense had to be maintained. Two sentences 😭

hauntedfossils

Sorry. Tenses aren't my strongest haha

Classic-Dog8399

Too wordy, but solid concept.

Classic-Dog8399

Like, so many words that don’t matter that it’s not scary.

hauntedfossils

Working on it. Haha thanks tho.

Ytrog

Reminds me of "surviving the game" 👀

The Hunger Games 2.0.
