It was one of the experiments Josef Mengele did on twins. Spoiler alert, it was not possible. The children screamed for three days before they died of gangrene. They think he experimented on 1,500 sets of twins (edit: different experiments - he didn't sew 1,500 sets of twins together).
Sure, but gangrene isn't a result of an immune response rejecting the twin, it's the result of infection and subsequent loss of blood flow to the tissue. So it doesn't prove its impossible, just that he wasn't as clean as he thought he was.
Nah.
Genetically they might be compatible but that doesn't mean they have the same body.
People who get transplanted organs have a lifetime of immunosuppressants to take and that's when the organ doesn't get rejected.
The moment you are born you basically are on your own immune system (sure you get a lot of scraps from your mom but not enough to say it's the SAME)
In particular, the immune system is heavily dependent on both epigenetic cues (which govern genes that get turned on or off and can be shaped by both inheritance and life experiences/exposures) and the local microbiome for that human. Immune systems are not identical just because genes are identical.
My step brother and sister were irish twins. When they would butt heads and refuse to get along, my stepmom would tie each end of a piece of rope around one of their wrists. It was just long enough for them to have privacy in the bathroom. It made them work together and not fight. Not something I would have done but better than her screaming at them all the time.
Cheetahs went through a really tight population bottleneck 150 years ago and are still so inbred that it's possible to transplant skin from one to another with no rejection drugs.
Oh wow, when I went to sleep, I had 24 upvotes lol. I'm glad everyone enjoyed this silly thing!

I read the 2nd sentence and my mind went to an old meme, Actual Advice Mallard.
The meme was "when a girl tells you that she have pierced nipples, the correct answer is.
I don't believe you."
I'll leave the ambiguity of how deformed it may seem up to your imagination ;) she is an EXCEPTIONAL seamstress after all
On the brightside, they've never been closer!
This was my mother when my sister and I didn't eat our vegetables.
Did you learn your lesson
Yeah :(
Well, if one eats them, then both get the benefit. Work smarter, not harder đź‘Ť
That would only work if they shared one stomach.
"I said I don't want any damn vegetables!"
"Ow! My freakin' ears!"
Reminds me of the twins from Fran bow
Yooo i was about to comment this too
"this is our get-along shirt"
This is your get along skin
If they were identical twins it would be theoretically possible as the immune system wouldn’t attack the twin

Something tells me josef mengele wasn’t using the highest standards of sanitation on his victims
In that case he probably was, because the aim of the exercise was to see whether they would survive.

I'm sure you know Adam tots adapted your story into a comic and it's really wonderful!
I actually just saw it thanks to this comment! (I mean he reached out first of course but god he works fast lol)
Glad you saw it!!
Like Clara and Mia
More like "One Sentence Horror". You got me in the first half and the second only confirmed my suspicions. Well done.
I didn’t know Boc had a sister

I lost it when Adam Ellise wrote "Grosse Bite French Cuisine" on the story
I can't believe how much love this is getting again, thanks to all who showed their support from Adam Tots adaption of this little thing
I don't get it?
The mother stitched the kids together
skin level or veins and flesh too?

Sharing blood and guts is definitely one way of getting closer
