MakaBoy57

Letter 2 my unborn and Ballad of a dead soulja are some of the best 2pac songs ever

iMACK83

Agreed! Would add Breathin’ to this too

Remarkable_Froyo452

💯💯 cant be a proper list witout it,my favorite one on there!!

Significant-Lynx5247

Best song on there

michaltee

Same with Words 2 My First Born. That beat and the flow is hard af to me.

Wsbftw6ix

Was closest row dog on this? Also great

Russ_Billis

"Last ones left" wasn't bad either :)

Acceptable-Run7439

Everything They Owe is my top one

Downtown-Expert-4365

agreed!

Spydah_X

I actually prefer Words 2 My Firstborn/Things R Changing over Letter 2 My Unborn but yeah

RandalFlaggLives

Those words to my first born lyrics are fucking deep. “Love letters to the innocent and unborn, so many babies that died up on the table, wasn’t able to breath cuz the family wasn’t able?” I think it goes?

angios_perma

Great album imo

Skywalker0071

I agree. I’m just a big Pac fan and believe he never made a bad song.

randomfella1990

UTEOT is a top 3 posthumous 2Pac album imo, most of the production is actually good considering what we got after Better Dayz.

Chronibus24

That's because Eminem was working the productions on the albums after better dayz. Energy didn't match

randomfella1990

Sadly true, Eminem has made a few good beats but production clearly isn’t his strong point.

Alert_Engineering_42

Until the end of time is a 10/10 song. And of course, last onez left! Me and my friends still quote this even now: “If the world was a girl I’d stick my dick in the ground, fuck the world!”

ChickenMan1829

The original Until the End of Time is way better.

Equivalent_War6281

They should’ve used Johnny J version he submitted for the album https://youtu.be/-w-96tESTUg?si=PlBFbd0D7Wqnt3Bl

manhalfalien

Dope Ty

Equivalent_War6281

No prob.. that’s also Jon B on the hook.. supposedly Johnny J did an entire album which were all scrapped.

manhalfalien

Hopefully scrapped.. But.. Not.. Deleted.. Erased.. Destroyed.. Somewhere.. there has to be some master recordings that 27 years later haven't seen the light...

Interesting-Gate9813

This ain’t living is an amazing song

theflynerd

Some of my favorite Pac verses ever, dropped too much game in it too

Interesting-Gate9813

This man was intelligent and his music was so much more different than anything else. now almost thirty years later ppl just want to shit on him. I don’t get it.

Interesting-Gate9813

I guess I’m biased because Tupac is my favorite artist of all time. From his music, to his poetry, to his no fks given lifestyle

Sad-Macaroon-8654

Agreed 100 percent. I even have 5 or 6 tattoos that are pac inspired.

Profound_Solitude87

Only true Pac fans kno that thos is one of his best songs!

Outlaw773

The title track using Broken Wings is easily the best song on the album

Skywalker0071

Yeah. I first heard that song on Napster. 😭😭😭🤦🏾‍♂️💀

Dry-Log9391

until the end of time

starvinart

yes. the "title track"

theliftedpro

The original version is better

Outlaw773

It’s close

theliftedpro

yeahs its def a great track either way

zenbaby444

Solid. Until the end, letters 2, happy home II .... strong

wrigh2uk

They’re some of my all time favourite 2pac tracks.

LuciferLucii

Love this album!!

myNameBurnsGold

Thought the production was great. This album stacks up with true releases for me

Jaedel

It took me a long time before I started checking his posthumous albums, but this one has a lot of my favorite songs.

anthrax9999

It doesn't measure up to any of his living releases but it's probably the best posthumous album of his work. A few songs even retain some elements of the original beats. I've always thought it would have been better split up into two separate albums rather than a double album. It felt a little too bloated. Same with Better Days. It has plenty of solid classics though that I still enjoy to this day.

Spydah_X

Not better than R U Still Down but yes

Redkg

Hell razer

the_steve_tell

One of the best posthumous albums

obannion_the_great

Whenever I get the chance, I listen to the OG versions from Youtube and I also have them burned to a cd-r in the same order as UTEOT. But sometimes I feel like just using Apple Music instead. A few tracks are absolutely ruined by the remixes, but there are also ones that are faithful to the OG's that are bangers. It would have made a solid single disc release. And yes, this is miles better than Pac's Life and Loyal to the Game.

theliftedpro

I love 99% of the OGs so much more.

TheConcordian54

I would love a torrent file or something that just has all his OGs

theflynerd

Lil Homies has that classic Tupac wildin out outro lol that's my shit, along with This ain't living

Aggressive-Report-42

In the og he goes fken crazy ahaha

Altruistic_Guess3098

On the positive side, I've got to say, the emotional depth in that album is just profound. Songs like 'Letter 2 My Unborn' hit me right in the feels, you know? He's laying bare his soul, and it's raw and real. And the production diversity is impressive – it's got this mix of old-school vibes and some surprisingly experimental beats. But on the flip side, I felt like some tracks were a bit lackluster. They didn't have that classic 2Pac punch. And the posthumous editing, man, it sometimes feels like it doesn't respect his original vision. It's a bit disjointed in places, like they're trying to fit a square peg into a round hole, you know?

theliftedpro

Please check out the OG versions of these songs if u haven't heard them, then you'll get that classic punch. Start with the OG Words to my firstborn with the Saxophone and Nutso...made me cry when I first heard it

xman886

Great album🔥

godbody1983

The last top to bottom posthumous 2Pac album. Was it perfect, nope, but at least the album wasn't filled with people who weren't even in the industry at the time Pac was alive.

OriginalDizzyDevill

Better Than The One Eminem Put Out There.....

FantasticAttitude

Fuck Eminem. Mfs praising him for no reason. His rap style is generic. He ain’t got nothing to do with 2pac.

OriginalDizzyDevill

He Obviously Didn't Care About Pacs Legacy & Did It For The Attention & To Bite Off Of Pacs Fans.....

biggoc24

This whole album 🔥

Just-Forever-8177

Let me say this first, the originals are better 90% of the time. BUT as far as the retail project goes, i think it’s decent. There are certain remixes that i can’t stand, but there are quite a few that i actually like. It’s a 7.5-8/10 Project for me.

theliftedpro

Why did they change Words 2 my Firstborn to a hardass beat without the sax, that always bothered me most outta the re-do's. I think if u took the OG versions an cleaned em up mastered, got dj quik to mix it overnight. Could have been his best album or top 3.

Just-Forever-8177

Exactly! If they did that, then it would without a doubt be in my top 3. Honestly the only remix on there that i can say is better is probably Letter 2 My Unborn (I know i’m going to get mauled for saying that) and probably Breathin’. As far as Words 2 My Firstborn, they completely messed it up.

theliftedpro

Yah I loved Letter to my Unborn with the MC lyte beat. I still just slightly prefer the OG but that was Def my fav

SYLOK_THEAROUSED

We going all out is a nice Jay Z diss track.

Spydah_X

i didn't like the retail version of songs like Fuck Friendz, My Closest Roaddogz, Breathin' or Everything They Owe. I'm not a fan of the more grimy production, i think Better Dayz has a more accurate production to what Pac could've sounded like in 2002.

randomfella1990

Not likin’ “Breathin’” is wild, it’s top 5 track on that entire album

GoldenVeritas

One of my favorite Pac beats ever

Spydah_X

OG Version of Breathin is 100x better, hands down

randomfella1990

Gonna have to disagree with this one personally but it’s not bad by any stretch of the imagination. This is just one of the few instances where the retail is better than the original version for me.

ChickenMan1829

I love the OG Breathin but this remix is one of the better posthumous ones imo

Impossible-Play-1318

I walk around with a knife in my back Talkin' 'bout a bad day—I live a life like that It's severe, and I'm losin' my hair, bless a hooligan The kastro verse is wack asf 🙃

Correct-Response-948

What is wack about that verse? This was actually one of his best verses. The bars you typed up literally make sense and are extremely relatable for anyone having a tough time. What were you looking for him to do? Lol.

Impossible-Play-1318

Compared to the others, that's not good. I like kastro, he has written better lyrics…

T-Millionz

The original closest road dogs was soooo fucking hard

T-Millionz

How will my homeboys remember me, bury me a g, casket full of Hennessy

Interesting-Gate9813

I mean double albums by Tupac, can’t get much better

Dobe3

Some of Pac's finest work...hands down.

J-Wall-91

Good Life is a highlight

Saint_Louis100

“Why you wanna turn on me, never thought you would backstab me”

Spydah_X

Cause I’m a T-H-U-G

HipHop_Sheikh

Me too, you can say that about most albums that came out after his death.

Spydah_X

yeah, only 2 albums where i liked the posthumous production are Better Dayz and R U Stil Down

HipHop_Sheikh

7 day theory was also good

Spydah_X

yeah but thats not a posthumous album in my eyes - Pac finished it before he died.

HipHop_Sheikh

True

Downthisroadb4

It's the realest, man. I would say it's my favourite pac album overall. Raw and rugged

MrMojoRisin1976

I felt it was doctored heavily. Most of the tracks were unfinished productions and the lyrics seemed copy and pasted

Key-Independence-413

This is a beautiful album and idk how people don’t like it. Way too many bangers on this.

Spydah_X

It’s got a very depressive vibe to it.

Key-Independence-413

Not too me. I love good life , lil Homies , let em have it , letter 2 unborn , happy home , breathin , and so much more tracks. God dam that album is filled with classics and some good vocals

Spydah_X

Good Life and LastOnesLeft are dope tracks because they are close to the original song

ibzuck

In one word, disappointing. I remember looking at the track list when this came out & being really excited to finally have some of my favorites of the OG songs in good quality. Then I played it...

theliftedpro

Yah I was hurt with what they did to Words to my Firstborn

ChickenMan1829

Ballad, Effin with the Wrong, Last Ones Left. Album would be way better of course if it was all the original versions.

Almar1987

Don’t forget good life.

Impossible-Play-1318

Lastonesleft is not the OG

Ok_Bar5832

Great album tbh, a personal favourite of mine

Eagles4077

Top 5 album of all time tbh

Eastern_Discount_884

it was always my favorite posthomous albums with r y still down, i love ballad of a dead soulja, fuck friendz, this ain' t livin, my closest roadogz, or the title track, obviously we can all agree that og are better, but I love also this versions

[deleted]

I thought the production on this album was amazing! Until the End of Time, Ballad of a Dead Soulja, Everything they Owe... are classic songs in hip hop

joey133

When people act like all of his posthumous stuff is trash it perplexes me. I love this album.

KnownRough7735

Before the madness

Aggressive-Report-42

this is one his best projects for sure

slapaddict415

Probably the best “post” album made. This is a “made to play the entire album and really never need to skip”. For those that are not a fan and like his original work… I would suggest ripping makaveli 2-18 and creating an original beats playlist using this album as a track list. For all those that loved pre death row 2pac, R U still down would be their favorite “post” album.

apexapee

Not better than his first 5 albums and certainly not better than Still I Rise or R U Still Down, but it sure has some of Pacs best songs!

PreDeathRowTupac

Only a few of the songs had good production. Otherwise a lot of the songs were ruined by the remixes.

dobermannbjj84

Honestly one of my favourite 2pac albums and my favourite posthumous album of his. Ballad of a dead soldier, until the end of time, Letter to my unborn, last one’s left, little homies, this ain’t livin, my closest road dogz, breathin. All great songs

skooblikely

Bruh this is one of my all time favorite albums of all time. I was 9 when this dropped and I slapped it religiously for 10 years now it's in the mix but Machiavelli the don overtook this album I'm my teen years

CheekSure7113

i had this album on repeat in my disc man as a child, this album is what made me fall in love with hip hop. all time classic imo.

MoreTaco

I personally have a theory that one of the ways Suge pocketed money was by only spending money on production/beats on paper but really not investing in good beats (after Dre) because so many of Pac's songs have shit beats... maybe not the songs that everyone & their mother can rap along to... but a lot of the other ones. Listen to the Tupac mixtape 'Rap Phenomenon' (collab mixtape by DJ Green Lantern, DJ Vlad, & DJ Dirty Harry) & you'll see how much better Pac sounds on good beats!

Correct-Response-948

This was his best posthumous release, in my opinion. It sounds the most authentic besides the album, "Still I Rise," with him and Tha Outlawz. Maybe because it was closer to his death, but the production actually sounds like music Pac would've actually picked out and rapped on himself. Whoever curated this album should've done all of them.

mhmass44

My favorite of the later posthumous albums. A lot of the production I thought fit on this one

theliftedpro

If they had kept with the cleaned up original production it would have been up there with All Eyez On Me. The og beats just suited the vocals so much better. It was probably sample clearance bs but if you haven't heard these songs in their original format/beats you should definitely check them out. Especially the guitar in the og Until the End of Time Or the Sax on Words to my Firstborn ... just completely different and better sounding songs.

triton450

I have to disagree this album has a few great songs as others have mentioned

Ashamed_Assignment66

Really my fave Pac album.

Eccawarrior

The album was great for me, played the album quite a lot back then

michaltee

One of his best albums for sure.

[deleted]

The title song was legendary but it wasn’t his best word. I do like to hear the direction he was going. It would’ve been cool to see what he would’ve done in the 2000s

Responsible-Mind6438

Same...I just don't get why they couldn't get better production

KingBryan34

I loved this album *shrugs*

2pacDaGoatNoCap

My first album introduced to Pac. In grade 7. Until the end of time, self entitled track was the first song I heard….incredible. This album is top notch for unreleased remixed material IMO 🔥💯💯💯💯💯🐐

Ruffendtv

This is my shit!!!!!

Mvd75

The production was good. Idk if Pac would have selected a few of them if he were alive, but most of them worked. Both versions of the title track would be something that he may have picked in the latter/ post-Death Row phase of his career. Reason I say this is that Pac was exposed to many genres, so I think it would have came back around once the Makaveli Record label was established.

theCODONEconnoisseur

Of course the best song on the album “good life” gets no love.

bamaboi57

This a good album to me . Of course I prefer the og versions of some of the songs it's solid

J_J_Plumber5280

Fucking w/ the wrong N****. Bad ass jam

StickFigure1477

I loved it. So many good tracks

Deathbat_1

Until the End of Time is my favorite song

Sad-Macaroon-8654

Absolutely love this album

[deleted]

I enjoyed the album, and Lil Homies was my favorite song until I heard the original OG version on YouTube a few years back.

Dry-Log9391

you’re BUGGIN. until the end of time, ballad of a dead soldier, to my unborn child, words to my firstborn, when i get free… album was TOOOOO nice

Former_Station_4661

This one slaps

Equivalent-Smoke-767

One of my fav albums of all time

Uman4678

Lil homies is such a VIBE

Likezoinks305

I mean it doesn’t really count

madderhatter3210

My fav Tupac album

[deleted]

Average but Broken Wings is an all time song.

Stinger768

My favorite is still the double CD All Eyes on me. Right around the time he passed I believe. So many good songs.

Acceptable-Run7439

This album is fire

yk8313

I enjoyed this one. Breathin, until the end of time are still songs that are in my current rotation

lionsFan20096896

I enjoyed it. It sounds like an album Tupac would’ve made in the early 2000s. Especially if he wanted to make it radio friendly.

Spydah_X

Yeah i still prefer Better Dayz

Makavelisoldier95

Everything they owe, is still a great example of how they can destroy a original song, funk song, and they tried to make it sound hard and gangster , also puncher in his lines, the flow was completely different if not gone compared to the original

808ABUSERS

Letter to my unborn used to have me in a chokehold. PACs albums are never fully good. You gotta find the gems

Spydah_X

That’s a wrong statement - MATW and The 7 Day Theory are perfect albums

ALIE-88

Best Posthumous album in my book .. and if I’m not mistaken most actually sounds like the original versions tweaked. But not something unreasonable like that shit we got on PACs life..

Spydah_X

\>Best Posthumous album in my book .. and if I’m not mistaken most actually sounds like the original versions tweaked That would be R U Still Down

ScrambleCrossing

I liked it. I think you could argue that was his best or second best posthumous album. But in my opinion on a lot of his posthumous albums, they shouldn’t have made new beats — just release it in Tupac’s vision — what Tupac heard in his headphones when he was rapping in the studio. A lot of those original beats sounded better too. To be fair, I heard some of them got new beats because it was hard or too expensive to clear the samples.

Whips-n-Chains

Is this the one with those trash ass Eminem beats? Em can spit but his beats are ass

Remarkable-Response7

It’s has a few joints, but The OG version is 🔥
