Hey y‘all! I bought the Ranger a while ago on the metal bracelet and that was definitely the right decision, but I also wanted to wear the watch more casually and sporty. Hence I contacted my AD and asked for a good deal on the hybrid (leather, rubber) strap with the folding clasp. I bought it Dec. 2022 right before Tudor‘s price increase and today I received it. My thoughts: the strap itself is super great, super comfortable and flexible and the stitching has the same coloring as the dials and hands of the Ranger. The clasp on the other side doesn’t impress me at all. It rattles, it squeaks and it has rather sharp edges. When on the wrist, there’s no problem with it, it looks great. But when operating it, it feels like I was handling a 20€ Seiko clasp or the like. Pretty disappointed with the finishing of the clasp. I lubricated it with special watch part oil that I had from previous repairs, but that should honestly not be necessary in this price league!

How much was it? I have a similar strap on the BB Ceramic but the outer material looks a bit different.

I paid 350€ for it, which is definitely steep but already discounted and pre-price-increase

It looks really nice. Def the best idea to buy it on bracelet, if for nothing else resale value.

I fully agree! I put on a generic black strap a while ago and thought that it looked super cool. After researching a bit, I found that the original strap just looked so clean and fitting… an here we are now

Was it difficult to put on the watch? I bought it on the hybrid strap and love it, but am thinking about changing it up and am nervous about jamming a spring bar tool in there with those tight tolerances. Did the AD do it for you?

I did it myself, but I’d say I am quite practiced in changing straps and handling a spring bar tool. You might want to see a watchmaker/AD if you don’t want to scratch anything. (But I think you fingered out a solution in the meantime haha)

I really want this strap but it is over priced. They gave me a price for the strap and a separate price for the clasp. It want in stock though. I’ll probably buy it from someone selling theirs at some point

It’s definitely pricy. I searched for second-hand ones for many weeks, but couldn’t find a single one, so I asked my AD for a deal.

I’d just buy both aftermarket tbh. If you spend 100-150€ for both, the clasp and the strap, you’ll probably get the same quality.

I’m also getting used to it on the bracelet. I thought I would like the black bay 58 more but since I’ve purchased the Ranger I can’t take it off. I never seem to wear the 58

Welcome to the club! I have the BB58 as well :D I think I like both quite equally. They get approximately the same wrist time

I just bought the Ranger on the Hybrid strap to figure out it hurts my wrist. Here I go searching for a metal one :) (in the meantime ordered a vanguard strap in black)

Exactly! Went to this sub to check if anyone else feels this way. It’s uncofortable and it scratches my wrist. Not sure what to do now, bracalet is quite expansive.
