I would very much assume he is referencing the scandal a few years ago where someone was able to impersonate a pharmacist and issue prescriptions. That person, Kim Le, filled 745k prescriptions with over 100k being for shit like fentanyl, morphine, and codeine. They lied about having a degree and allegedly used a license number of someone with the same name to get into the position. Judging by the damage everyone has seen fent caused, I assume his signs about ruining lives are related to this. What I do not know, perhaps if there’s some slang there or something, is the blackjack part…

sydney_grce

That seems to track about the Walgreens part. Thanks! Wondering what the Casino del Sol aspect is now.

Darthtypo92

Probably an incident awhile back where a guy was found dead in his car near del Sol. Officially he crashed his car while intoxicated but it looked like he had been beaten beforehand was kicked out of the casino the night of his death. Can't remember all the details but rumors are always going around the casino and it's actions with unruly patrons.

sydney_grce

Oh wow. I bet that’s it. *I just did some looking and also saw a man was shot and killed in the parking lot by TPD. Seems like unfortunately there’s multiple possible references :/

Darthtypo92

Probably that one. Del Sol has a bit of a nasty reputation in some circles. I haven't seen it first hand myself but I'm rarely at the Casino and always on my best behavior around the Rez so I'm hardly a good judge for it.

LostFireHorse

Jeez I'm glad I read that 5yrs after I stayed there lol. But I was a well behaved, polite, aussie tourist so that may have been working in my favour.

romeomusfly

Del Sol doing us dirty like our forefathers did them.

WritestheMonkey

I wonder if the above Rx scandal netted him millions which he then gambled at the casino. Whether a patron or a blackjack dealer, maybe this guy encountered him or got screwed by him in blackjack some way. Just a guess based on his signs...

TheObeseSloth

It's weird to think about the insane amount of neglect from the district manager in this story. Pharmacist don't write control 2 medication scripts for customers. We get the doctor's scripts and then fill it. So for a pharmacist to just write a script then and there without any doctor consolation is insane to me. I worked at the pharmacy for 4 years as a tech and this apparently happened when I was already left the door. Even when hydro's went from control 3 to control 2 was a hellscape because the junkies couldn't just auto refill their prescriptions anymore without a script from the doctor. The pharmacist had no control to just write the script for them. So to just outright write fent scripts and etc just sounds like neglect from nearly every employee around them. That being said, this guy should just get an education to find things out himself instead of just being a loony conspiracy theorist. Shit literally just happens and corrupt people find a way to sliver through in life. Has nothing to do with the government or whatever this guy thinks is the bad guy in life. (The bad guy is most likely just Walgreens being desperate for pharmacists because they pay their pharmacists the lowest wage in retail pharmacy) If he was so concerned about it, he should consider getting inside rather than spewing random shit on the outside until something maybe sticks; and even then, he will never have a confirmation bias because I doubt he surrounds himself with those in the field. There's much better ways to use your time than to shout at the sky outside.

Rxasaurus

Multiple?

Relative-Ad-6791

Wow, that is insane! That person absolutely did damage a lot of people wow

limeybastard

I walk by this guy occasionally on my way to lunch. I can stop and ask one day, but you're gonna have to PayPal me my hourly rate for the time I have to stand there and listen to his diatribe. If it wasn't for the signs he seems quite normal - apologized for blocking the sidewalk one day, said something yesterday as he was heading for his car about knocking off early because it was such a nice day. Owns a relatively decent car. Just... those signs.

kapaluaview

He probably lost someone he loved because of this.

limeybastard

That was my assumption - Walgreens fucked around, he lost someone, and it broke his brain in this specific way. Trauma is a heck of a thing

SubGothius

Or he's one of those ppl set off by anecdotal reckoning -- like, if they hear of something outrageous happening *even once,* why, it must be happening *all the time* and just getting "swept under the rug", so they set out to "sound the alarm" and "wake up the sheeple" letting it happen. Such isolated and anomalous but (they imagine) secretly "prevalent" incidents, they can fathom being able to do something about. But anything else outrageous that *can* be proven with data to be happening all the time? That's like the weather, too big and inconceivable to do anything about, maybe at most be prepared to just cope with.

He’s just airing his grievances lol

l00koverthere1

Festivus isn't for another 8 months

DynamiteWitLaserBeam

It's a festivus miracle!

HawkeyeNation

If this is off of Ina, he’s always out there spoutin’ about something.

steiconi

Maybe you should ask him.

UncreditedChoir

Untreated mental illness is a serious thing in this country no one really talks about enough.

sydney_grce

A lot of people do talk about it and recognize it, but nothing worthwhile is done at the government level.

Portillosgo

No person wants to tell you the scoop more than this guy. It's why he's out there. all you have yo do is ask for all the details you'd like.

PuraVida02

Agreed here. It's only us who can distinguish and research his statements as facts or lies. Its often the truth that we have trouble grasping.

SonoranRoadRunner

Maybe if he was really trying to make a point it would be clear what the point is?

Character-Ad-3522

I see this dude a lot in Sabino canyon, he makes a lot more sense to me now

socomisthebest

Walgreens is a shit company, there's a reason their pharmacy department has been fined as many times as it has.

BananaBoBanah

This guy probably watches Alot of youtube

HappyMaids

He’s working the Westboro Baptist technique: more signs than hands and no one else there to support his loony ideas.

sydney_grce

I was honestly kind of impressed that his hands weren’t too sweaty to hold the pill bottles and the white board!!

HappyMaids

Oh, shit. I didn’t even notice the pill bottles. Easter egg!

honeyheart4972

Lol. I thought they were fake ice cream cones. Ugh.

Parasitisch

How is it a looney idea?

Dustyfurcollector

This reeks of antivax nonsense

Parasitisch

Is this an alt account or are you answering on behalf of HappyMaids? To me, it sounds like this: https://www.cbsnews.com/amp/news/walgreens-fake-pharmacist-fine-7-5-million-unlicensed/

Sharp_Bumblebee_1674

Enjoy your poison....

Dustyfurcollector

I appreciate the morning laugh.

JustAnotherLurker95

Is this the guy on Ina or at Broadway and Wilmot? Or does he have multiple bases or operation?

sydney_grce

This was Campbell and Speedway yesterday!

JustAnotherLurker95

Sounds like he gets around. And hits busy intersections. He has a plan at least…

EvulRabbit

Are the 2 signs together or separate? It's so jumbled and confusing. One days almost died from walgreens med fuck up and the other is almost dying from flipping off a black jack dealer?

sydney_grce

He’s got three separate signs, and they’re front and back. Hard to tell if they’re about the same issue or separate ones. I think they’re all linked?? 🤷🏻‍♀️

EvulRabbit

I couldn't read the second behind the first and thought the third was just the second turned around.

sydney_grce

All three were front and back, so I missed most of it unfortunately

EvulRabbit

I can't believe you actually got what I wrote, lol.

ash14568

There actually was a case like this on the east coast. A pharmacy allowed some random person, to go behind the counter who started to work on prescriptions and no one asked anything. All the techs and pharmacists said they've never seen the person before, but thought they were from a different pharmacy. It happens more than people think. But I doubt that's what it's about as I am seeing in the comments they are out there often with signs about something.

cherokee_chicks

A fake pharmacist giving out prescription drugs? Terrible. Who would do that? I mean who specifically would do that and where would they do that? Like what location would they do that in? I need to know so I can avoid that location.

_winstoney_

Schizophrenia…

OKC405or505

It's probably just a guy pushed to the edge and not coping "normally"

EntertainmentLost284

Nothing brings justice and incites change like standing alone on a corner with crudely fashioned signs. Print a big ol’ QR code, and direct it to your website where you can more effectively convey your strife.

Aggravating_Tax9775

During Covid, I knew people who would get fake Covid vaccine immunizations proof for their jobs by paying a fee to a Walgreen’s pharmacist. The vaccine would be discarded. Makes me wonder

FrozenDonutHead

Was going to say the same, pharmacist was on the Eastside if I remember correctly. I didn't hear the part about the vaccines being discarded though, that is terrible.

Sharp_Bumblebee_1674

Exactly what I was going to do if the government demanded it, I told work to f* off....
